Whirlpool India — Faulty washing machine and Fraud AMC contract

We had purchased Whirlpool washing machine 360 bloomwash 11 kg, as the machine had some or the other issues since we had purchased it. Recently a Whirlpool service engineer suggested that we should go for annual maintenance and repair contract, which we purchased just to save our troubles. In July 2022 the machine stopped working and we raised the complaint. The Whirlpool service centre engineer evaluated and suggested that the PCB needs to be repaired and it would be covered in the AMC contract. After much follow up the Whirlpool guys called and said that the part is not available and hence replacement of washing machine is approved. Again after too many calls they said that same model is not available and hence lower model will be given (9 kg). Then the shocker came that for the replacement I have to pay 27000 rs .. what kind of fraud is this. If I have a contract that covers repairs and parts they why are forced to buy replacement. This cheating and looting customers. My complaint ID is MUM[protected]. I don't recommend to buy Whirlpool.

Updated by Ashish L Mishra 122 days .. and no resolution from Whirlpool team .. apart from the message of extorting money in the name of replacement for a machine that i have already paid for
