[Resolved]  Whirlpool India — Poor service by service centre in Agra

Hi I have a whirlpool refrigerator that I bought in 2006. On 19th morning it stopped working and I complaint on whirlpool customer care asking for them to send an engineer from the authorized service centre in Agra. I was told the engineer would be at my place in 24 hours. On the same late afternoon(around 3pm) I got a call from a lady (mobile number [protected]:) informing that it's late to send an engineer so the engineer would be at my place around 11-12 next morning. On 20th June I kept waiting for the engineer to come and endlessly kept calling the service centre to know when the engineer will be here as I had some other commitments. The service centre guy told me that the engineer will be there anytime and that they will inform the engineer..I asked them to give engineer number but they refused to give..then after a few calls the service centre stopped picking up the calls from my mobile. So around 3pm I called from my landline and they picked up. When I asked about it the lady on the other side said they have no information and that engineer will come around 6.in this whole time no one asked for the details of the fridge. I was so annoyed as I had a dinner appointment in the evening.still I waited for the engineer and no luck. The next day on Sunday we tried calling the service centre and no one answered. So we called up another local electrician who came and checked and saw that the compressor was gone. So the compressor had to be changed. Around 6 in the evening your engineer ([protected])calls and says that he was coming. So we told him that the compressor was not working and what would be charges etc..also that he should get it along. Because we still believed in getting the fridge fixed from an authorized service centre. But to our disappointment this guy and another person from ther service centre ([protected])promised n still never turned up. We kept calling but no one picked. So the next day we call again and noone picks. Then around 11am we get a call from the engineer with all excuses. And that was the first time they asked me the model of the fridge. I was surprised as this was the first time they enquired.And to add one tells us that it's an old fridge so needs to be taken to the service centre and it will take another 2 days. Imagine how annoying it was..I didn't get anyone else to fix it relying on the socalled whirlpool service centre but they are just making a fool out o[censored]s and delaying. All my food was spoilt. But still we decided to go ahead and were told that the engineer would come by 3pm for sure. We waited till 4pm but no one turned up. We were so furious and in this heat not having a fridge was turning up to be very problematic.so we just called another engineer who turned up in half an hour, checked the compressor requirement, got the compressor and by the end of Monday our fridge was working. Not because of the whirlpool service centre engineer but someone else. And then around 830pm your engineer calls and says he will come at6am to get the fridge. Now as if that was the last thing left to trouble us n spoil our sleep early in the morning. Now my fridge is working fine. Thanks to the guy who came to fix it an fixed it in mere few hours unlike the authorized service centre which displayed a total unprofessional attitude. As a customer I think my mistake was to pick up a whirlpool product. I had planned to buy a new whirlpool fridge after few years but doesn't look like I will after such a poor service delivery. We always used to think that we should get any services done from an authorized service centre so that we can have the reliability and professionalism. But there was nothing like this over here.. We are definitely going to pass on the message around to our friends not to trust whirlpool anymore because of the poor services. Also not to forgot the pain we have gone through in the 4 days when our fridge was not working. i am not sure how a big company like whirlpool is picking up its service centres Regards Jaspreet [protected] [protected]@gmail.com
