My whirlpool washing machine stopped working and i reported this issue to pittappillil agencies, kottayam (The dealer) because the product was still under warranty period (Paid extended warranty by dealer). The warranty was up to 30.03.2018. Technicians from hi - tech engineering came home and assessed the machine (Opposite govt. Model school, palace road, kottayam, phone[protected], claiming that they are the authorized service center representatives by whirlpool. They said the issue is with the bearing and they replaced the it. Even after doing so, the machine stopped working the following day itself. I had to contact the dealer again, the technicians came and said that the control panel they replaced was not the correct one. They said that the appropriate control panel has to come from the company. I waited for so many days for that to happen. I reached out to the dealer on 30/10/2018, by sending an email to their head office, as it was under their warranty coverage. There was a quick response, the technicians came and replaced the control panel. Recently, i noticed that the control panel which they replaced, has only 8 programmes whereas the original machine (Whirlpool stain wash ultra) has 12 programmes.
This is a clear case of cheating by whirlpool authorized service centre. Please make sure that service centres are capable of doing what they are supposed to do as well as replace appropriate and quality spare parts. Also, direct them to replace my washing machine with the right control panel.
Please make sure that the company conducts annual competency tests and make necessary changes to your staffing policies, especially with your service centers. Better the service, better the profit. We chose whirlpool with a trust because it’s an international brand. But this whole experience was a mess. I owned whirlpool products previously too. But i won’t choose it again.
