This
is regarding our purchase of an RO water purifier " whirlpool
Purafresh". We booked this product
on 15/3/2014 from Good Life, a
dealer selling all brands of water purifier in new delhi. The product was
installed on 7/4/2014 Ever since we
bought this product, after every 15-20 days there has always been some problem in
the purifier. We have also done the amc for 2yrs. The problems we have faced in
these 4 months are stated below date-wise and the complaint no.:
May 2014: Service Request no. DL[protected]: When the first defect
occurred on 12/5/2014, we at first contacted M/s Goodlife and informed them
about the problem, they told us that as the product being in its warranty
period, it’s not their responsibility to give the service, so they told us to
contact whirlpool. We then contacted whirlpool and the above complaint no. is
generated, then on 14/5/2014, an engineer from whirlpool came and told us that
the RO Membrane is defective and needs replacement and this part is not under
warranty and have to pay for this part. It was a surprise for us that how come
it failed in just one month after installation, the manual says, its needs
replacement after 12 months as per the estimated life mentioned there in on the
basis o[censored]sage of 15 liters water per day with maximum feed water tds upto 2000
ppm, (we would like to mention here, we are only two members living and our
water consumption is less than 6 liters per day and moreover the tds level as
tested during installation is 1325 ppm.)
when he came to know that
we purchased it from M/s Goodlife, his attitude changed, and refused to change
the membrane but upon our complaint to good life and then to the senior
management, the same (RO Membrane filter) has been replaced at the company's
cost, he also told us that since we have not fitted the pre filter element, the
RO membrane didn't last long.
May 2014: After this we have installed a pre-filter element on
20/05/2014 to avoid any such problem. This pre-filter element is fitted by M/s
Goodlife (from where we purchased the RO System)
June end 2014: there was another problem that the tank is not
filling, it is taking longer time to fill up the complete tank, we again gave a
complaint to Whirlpool and the engineer visited and worked on the system and
rectified it but he was not at all professional and he didn’t fit properly the
complete system, a lizard entered the system after few days of the above
mentioned service.
July 2014: we again gave a complaint, the same engineer visited and
removed the lizard from the system, this time the engineer who came was just
like he is about to destroy the product, he was just holding a mobile phone in
one hand and the purifier on the other and he didn't fit the appliance
properly.
July 2014: again we faced a problem of water not filling the
storage tank, we gave a complaint on 16th July and requested to send
a senior person instead of the earlier one, the same day a senior person
visited in the evening of 16th July and found that the post sediment
filter is blocked, he cleaned this filter and told that, this is a temporary
solution for the time being, he rectified the problem of water not filling the
storage tank.
July end 2014: we felt that the water taste is not good and not as
per the earlier days, it taste like a salt water and again a complaint was
given on 01/08/2014, a engineer
visited the same day in the evening and tested the water in the storage tank,
the tds was around 1200 ppm and concluded that the RO Membrane filter is again
a problem and this needed replacement, The engineer didn’t open the system to
check properly and he misbehaved a lot, this was our observation yesterday on
01/08/2014. Here again, the engineer said that RO membrane filter is not under
warranty and we have to pay for it.
Asked the engineer to
leave the system as it is and we are
completely fed up with whirlpool service.
Now
after all these events, I as a customer of this product is fed up with the way
this has performed in this 4 months of working, I don’t want to use this system
anymore and request to take back the system and refund the complete amount with
interest or else the whole purifier shoul be replaced with a brand new one. Was this information helpful? |
