My name is Anand. I'm from Hyderabad. I've recently purchased Mi Water Purifier (in mid October 2019). My experience with the service has been terrible and I request Mi to take this product back and return me my money.
I've initially called and scheduled the installation and demo, at a time that I was available, and the customer care team scheduled the appointment. The technician called me 1-2 days before the scheduled time to check if they can come right away. I told him it is not possible since I was at work and requested him to come at the scheduled time only. The guy never showed up. I've sat at home during the 3 hour window, while I had other important work. My wife and I both work, and usually one o[censored]s has to stay home to attend to this kind of thing.
I called customer care and it wasted more of my time to get the appointment scheduled. When I requested for speaking with higher authority on the call, they made me wait 30+ minutes without anyone attending the call. I called again and requested for returning the product as I can't deal with these delays and disappointments. Next day they sent a technician unannounced. Fortunately, I was able to attend to them. They fixed the device in a hurry, and left. The tap wasn't fixed properly and it was leaking and I'm not able to use the product. I've also requested them for a longer outlet pipe, they've misinformed me that the outlet pipe is available anywhere. I've roamed 10+ plumbing shops to no avail.
I've called again and requested for fixing the leak, as other plumbers wouldn't fix this saying it's to do with water purifier, and it's better if the water purifier people fix it. So I requested for the leak to be fixed and an extended outlet pipe to be made available for me. The customer service scheduled appointment at a time that I confirmed will work for me, and the technician didn't show up. I called again, they took a complaint, and scheduled another appointment and the technician didn't show up.
I have raised a written complaint, the service team followed after 9 days, and told me they'd schedule an appointment. I told them 7pm tomorrow (27th) or 7pm day after (28th) will work for me. They confirmed that the appointment is scheduled. Within sometime, I got an SMS saying that the appointment is scheduled for 9am to 12pm on 28th (completely different time that what was conifmred on call, and a time that I will be at my office and won't be able to attend to the technician).
What is the point of asking for a set time if your technicians can't show up on time or even answer phones? This is the situation in a metro like Hyderabad!! How can we continue to use this product with such unreliable work and service? I have collectively wasted more than 10 hours in waiting for technicians, in discussing with customer care. This has been very frustrating and can't go through this every time there is a service issue. The product is good, but the service is just killing my time and because of bad service, just simply not able to use the product ever since we bought it (mid Oct 2019).
Can you please take your product away and simply refund my money? At least that way, I'd still remain a happy customer of Mi. As opposed to having to suffer through this.
