I bought a Redmi1s in the second week of Jan 2015. After 2 weeks the screen developed some dark patch. Then I went to the Mi Exclusive Service Center located at:

The service center guys told me that the screen is under warranty and would be replaced. So I deposited my phoen on 31-Jan-2015. They told me the phone would be ready by 05-Feb-2015. It is a pain to get connected to this service center as they have only one number which is mostly either busy or no one picks up. Anyways so I could finally get connected to them on 07-Feb-2015. Then they told that the parts are not available and they are waiting for new stock. They asked me to collect my phone on 12-Feb-2015.
I gave a call today, 13-Feb-2015 to inquire about my phone. They said that the parts would be arriving by 5PM and I could call after that. When I called again after 5:45PM they said that the parts have not come and might come the next day, 14-Feb-2015. Then they said that my phone would be ready by Monday, 16-Feb-2015.
I am not sure why just replacement of screen is taking so long! There are no functional disorders or major issues. If you do not have stocks to replace a part let the customer know upfront. Had the service center told me that the replacement might take more than 2 weeks or uncertain amount of time I would have never deposited my phone. What is the point in giving lame excuses later on? This is highly unprofessional. I am very disappointed with the uncertainty in service completion time. Please let me know if there is actually a chance that my phone screen would be replaced, if yes then the precise date. Was this information helpful? |
