Aakashi Sunil Shah — UPI transaction successful but amount not received and had to pay cash for ticket

I had made payment of ticket purchase at Inox-PVR, Ahmedabad on 08.06.2025 (Sunday) through UPI transaction with following details
UPI-INOX-pvrinox831352.[protected]@rxairtel-AIRP[protected]-PVRINOX Ref. Num :[protected]. Amount of Rs. 440 was debited from my bank account but as per the booking Clark at PVR-INOX, amount was not received and asked me to pay cash for the ticket. I paid cash for the ticket. The amount debited through UPI transaction is not refunded by Inox-PVR or PVR-INOX even after 2 days. According to the bank, transaction is successful and must have been received by the recipient, but recipient denied receipt of payment made through UPI.

Further, recipient, informed me that this is the routine event that is happening when payment is made through UPI, in which though the amount is debited from the payer account, it is not received by them.

They ask the payer to pay the cash, with an advised to contact the payer bank to initiate refund on behalf of payer from the PVR-INOX.
Bank cannot initiate such recovery, since the transaction is shown as successful in the bank system.

Please help the refund of an amount of Rs. 440 paid through UPI transaction back in the paying bank account ASAP.
