Aerofit — AF780 treadmill showing the same issues after repeated service by authorized service center

Website:www.aerofit.co

I bought an Aerofit AF780 treadmill in 2015 from SIGMA Healthcare, Aluva, Ernakulam
- It ran well for 4 years before it came up with issues. While switching it on, it used to throw an error code and we were unable to operate it once the error code is shown on the screen. On 28th August 2019, the service was done by the authorized service center(SIGMA Healthcare, Aluva, Ernakulam) for an amount of Rs 1200 and the issue was resolved.
- The treadmill ran without issues for about 6-8 months before it started showing other issues. The issue was that after continuously using the treadmill for about 20 minutes, it used to abruptly stop and show an error E05. Since it abruptly stops in betweeen usage, there has been multiple instances where the person using the treadmill has fallen down. Since it was between the covid lockdown, we did not call the service center and limited usage of the treadmill to less than 15 minutes to avoid getting injured.
- Then one day, while I was using the treadmill, the running board of the treadmill split into 2. I've never thought this could happen for a treadmill. I had a good impression about Aerofit product quality till then and was planning on upgrading to a newer advanced model. But this issue tarnished the impression I had about the quality of Aerofit products and I decided not to upgrade.
- After the lockdown was lifted, we called up the authorized service center and they replaced the board for an amount of about Rs. 4000. When they came, I mentioned the issue with not being able to use the treadmill for more than 20 minutes and the E05 error. They just switched on the treadmill, kept it running for about 5 minutes without any load and then told me that such issues will not come again and that it has been resolved. I was sure that the issue is not resolved.
- The very day that they left, as I was using the product, the E05 issue came up again and I almost fell down. After about a 1-2 months, the treadmill failed to switch on again. Error E02 started popping up and I was unable to use it. The service center guys came again. They opened the motor area and just touched here nd there and it started working. I mentioned the E05 issue with not being able to use it for more than 20 minutes again. This time they ran the motor for 20 minutes without any load and told me that there is no issue and that such issues will not come.
- The very next day, as my father was using it, it again stopped abruptly with E05 at around 17 minutes. We still continued to use it but for periods of time less than 15 minutes. Last week, the product stopped working completely again. When I switch it on, all I see is the E02 error. At times it starts up without the E02 error for a day or 2. After that the error pops up again and we are not able to use it. But even if I'm able to use it, the I can only use it for 15 minutes without injuring myself because any second after that time, the E05 error can come up.

I'm in a position where I don't know what to do with this product from Aerofit. I can keep calling the same incompetent service center only to have them come and do the same drama that has been going on for their past visits. I hope the company will notice my plight and send some service guys who knows the product and how to resolve these issues properly. I don't want to call the same service center and be fooled again.
