This is with regard to the booking made my me on Jet Konnect Flight No. 9W2651 on 24 December 2012 from Bhopal to Delhi. PNR No : GNMMWS in the name of Tara Hari. The flight was cancelled by the airline. However Make My Trip through which this booking was made seem to be running on defunct computers and they repeatedly told me over phone that the flight took off and therefore I cannot be refunded. Now there has been a part refund but I was penalized Rs.1300. I cannot understand why a booking agent does not get the information regarding the cancellation of a flight. Moreover when a flight is cancelled the refund is automatic and it is a given. But it seems as though I have to prove myself 'eligible' for the refund. I hope Jet Konnect takes note of such inefficient services and such inefficient travel agents who tarnish customer relations with the airline. I have booked with Yathra and have had some very efficient handling of such things from them. I will never ever book with either an airline which cannot update their status with the travel agent or a travel agent who seems to be making the bookings in a digital world that seems 50 years behind. From Trivandrum one could see the Bhopal Airport status that the flight was cancelled, but Make My Trip customer service glibly told me that the flight took off on time as per their computers. I hope it also landed in Delhi as per their records.
I request you to initiate steps to make my complete refund immediately. I also request you to kindly help Make My Trip update their data bank that the Bhopal Delhi Jet Konnect flight on 24 December 2012 did not take off and therefore has not landed in Delhi as is being claimed by them. My heartfelt condolences to thousands of your customers who might be in the same boat as me trying to reclaim a few odd rupees by making useless phone calls to toll free numbers and listening to crap for hours together instead of doing something useful.
