Airports Authority of India — i was first time flyer and not much aware of the security system at airport

I traveled on 22nd march from delhi to udaipur via indigo a 320, during entry point checking i asked security personal where to keep the power bank, they assured me no problem it having in flight baggage, but later they called me up and asked to open the baggage and confiscate the same, it seems they deliberately assured me for such act.
Now i wish i could get back my power bank at my home address...
