I have been using airtel broadband from April-2021. This is a postpaid service of INR 499+GST.

I asked airtel to close my connection on 30th January, 20222 they asked for various reasons and said that my services will be stopped.
On 28th February, 2022 I got a call from airtel and they mentioned that I can put the connection on hold (Safe custody) for 300+GST for 3 months. The condition was that during the period if I want to reinstate my connection then I will have to pay the usage charges for the days services has been active. I obliged and activated safe custody for 3 months. The safe custody period was from 28th February 2022 to 28th May, 2022. So ideally I should not get any bill apart from safe custody charge for the mentioned duration If I did not ask to resume services.

Now comes the torture. Airtel generated a bill of 500+GST on 3rd march, 2022 for Safe custody (Promise was of 300+GST). I called customer care multiple times and finally they gave me a wave off of some amount and my total bill was 413 (Including GST). Still higher than actual promise.

Coming to 3rd April, 2022, I was given a bill of 500+GST. Again I called Airtel customer care and they waved off 472 Rupees from bill mentioning that the connection was active from 4th March to 2nd April and it was their mistake so bill got generated. Again I had to pay remaining amount (~100 rupees) for no reasons.

Coming to 3rd May I got a bill of 1119.92 rupees. Upon calling customer care they mentioned that on 3rd April I asked to initiate safe custody, so 500+GST is safe custody charges and remaining amount is of connection being active from 3rd April to 2nd May.

Called Airtel customer care multiple times and they mentioned that it is a mistake, but they are not giving me refund. Everytime they are giving same response that they have escalated the issue and it will be resolved in some time. Resolution never happens.

I also asked them multiple times in this duration to close my connection but they are not taking the connection closure request. I am forcefully being charged for the services which I am not using at all.
Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
Update: I got a response from Airtel that whatever charges they have levied are valid. I asked to give me reason and they are just keep on telling the same thing that charges are valid.

Still no response on my connection closure request.

This is a red flag for everyone taking postpaid connection of Airtel. Don't fall into trap. They will change your connection status and accuse you of making changes in your connection and falsely charge you hefty amount. Please save your money and go for prepaid services.

      Hi,

      My Airtel xstream fiber broadband hasn’t been working from past 4 days. I raised a Service Request on 3rd May and an engineer was assigned to resolve the issue in 24 hours. The first assigned engineer contacted me and said that since he is not in my area, he won’t work on the issue. After 24 hours, I got an sms that another engineer has been assigned and the issue was supposed to be resolved by 5th May 10am, however no contact or attempt has been made to resolve the issue.
      I talked to the Customer services and they assured me that they have escalated the issue on the morning of 4th May, and promised that my issue will be resolved in 24 hours, i.e. by 5th May 3:30pm.
      But again no attempt to resolve the issue, and on calling the Customer services again they said they will be escalating it and it will be resolved in next four hours, i.e. by 5th May 8:30pm.
      It was another fake promise which they couldn’t keep and it’s been more than 48 hours and on calling the customer service, they keep asking me to be patient and wait for another 4 hours or 24 hours.
      I am writing this on 7th May and my issue hasn’t been resolved yet and no contact has been made from the engineer end.

      I would request you to either resolve the issue or if you can’t provide the service you promised for then give my the money back.

        Customer care support person not responded properly

        I had an issue in my payment so that I called to customer care and explained but the customer care person named kouser, she not understand what is my query and simply she answering with improper response. Customer care person should behave politely and should ask the queries clearly and need to support as per their need but this person behaviour is not proper. She connected to manager and manager sorted my issue. Manager can sort the issue...

        We are unable to proceed with your online PAN application due to following reason: Mismatch in any one or more of the following fields as per PAN application with the details available in UIDAI database. Name/ Gender/ Date of Birth/ Name as per Aadhaar. Kindly visit designated TIN-FC /PAN Centre and submit your PAN application using Biometric (fingerprint) facility.

          Airtel company and its advertisers are marketing that it is best network with no complaints, but I dont agree with it. Airtel is not providing good network services even though they take huge money from customers. When ever i travel to international countries, I take airtel international packs which do not provide services even after many complaints. Even customer care representatives donot take complaints serious and disconnect the calls ruthlessly. I took 4999 pack with 10 days validity, after two or three days internet was not working when I called customer care multiple times they told issue will be resolved in 10 working days, then what is the use of buying the pack for 10 days.. And customer representative tells that they will not refund the amount even though airtel do not provide the services. The way customer representative speaks is like very annoying. I have recorded the customer representative calls and airtel has records of all my complaints in past one and half year, they took months to resolve and the money was not at all resolved. I want to make serious complaints on these issues.

            I had used MNP to move my SIM from Vodafone to Airtel in Feb 2022 in the Bihar Jharkhand circle.
            I had an initial recharge of 1 month in February followed by a recharge of an year in March 2022. The validity for this recharge was till March 2023.

            Suddenly Airtel has deactivated my number and when I contacted their customer care team, I was told that they cant help as the number is not with Airtel. The number was active till end of April and has suddenly stopped working. The last recharge was in March 2022.

                  I am Very Much Irritated with the Service Provided by Airtel - I have purchased Airtel SIM ([protected]) before 2 months - From the time of Purchase i unable to use Internet properly in any where

                  I have raised many Complaint through Airtel App (CALCG3BLR[protected] ON 21ST APRIL & CLCQU3BLR[protected] & 2 Times through 121 Customer Care number - But Still my Issue is not Resolved

                  When i Called to 121 Customer care on 6th May 2022 today - Customer Care Executive is stating that she cont transfer to Higher Authority to escalate my Issue - I want to PORT to JIO either - Even that they are not Permitting that SIM is under 90days from Activiation

                  i want solution - Either Solve my Problem or else allow me to PORT to JIO

                    Of late, my Airtel number has been flooded with SPAM SMS messages ranging from New Real Estate projects to NURU SANDWICH Massages, without ever subscribing to these.

                    I have registered for the DND DO NOT DISTURB yet these SMS keep binging all day. Not only is it harassment, its also DISGUSTING to note that Airtel does not keep a check to such NURU Massage solicitations on the phone!

                        I have made a online payment on dated[protected] of Rs. 1437/- through Airtel Thanks App via UPI from Paytm payment bank for add money in Airtel Payment Bank, but unfortunately I have made payment in '[protected]@mairtel' successfully and deducted amount from my bank.

                        After that I have many time communicate regarding above matter with Airtel customer care center but they always assured me for refund my amount but till now I have not getting any single penny from Airtel.
                        Recently they starting to misguide me about their '[protected]@mairtel' they refusing to receipt any amount from my end.

                        Sir, I request you kindly help me I have successful payment receipt of Airtel Thanks App and also I have attached the screen shot for your ready reference.

                          I am facing frequent internet disruption issue past few months. The service engineers visit and do some temporary fixes. Now, after I raised the last ticket on 28th April. They said they will replace the Router box to fix the issue, but its been more than a week now. no one responded. If I call the customer care to disconnect my line, they are keeping my calls on hold for more than 30 mins and then asking to wait for another 48 hours.

                              Hi, my name is ujjwal sahu. Airtel Payments Bank Blocked my account without any notice and then when i call they are say your kyc is expired. So i submit all documents 11 April today is 5 May But Still Not Unblocked my Account and when i call Airtel bank they're say wait 24-48 hour's but no response. 1 month complete.                                   Since August 2020, I'm not able to receive call from any number on my Airtel sim card even when I was doing recharge regularly.
                                  First I thought it's probably SIM error so I change the sim through my local shopkeeper store but no results.
                                  Again I complaint several times on Airtel App, Airtel customer care numbers 121, 198 and some other numbers but they always register a complaint/problem and close it by saying issue is resolved where it doesn't resolved in real life.

                                  I also given request to change my sim via Airtel official store located at Maldahiya, Varanasi, they charge for new Airtel upgrade sim card and say it will be activated after 4 hours but no network or no sim change happening.

                                  I just want to receive full service for which I pay 222 rupees for every 28 days, and I want proper settlement for which I have gone through where I was got loss due to not able to receive call from any number, many times due to this reason my parcel, delivery, bank calls, verification calls, Job call, employment opportunities calls, for that so many problems faced in my life due to this reason.

                                  I'm fed up with this.

                                    I have requested my broadband shift to my new home on April 25th. Airtel processed my request for 8 days just to say "We can't shift". I have been calling them daily and they promised me that an airtel connection is available in that area and they will give the connection 100%. But now, they are telling me it is not possible. If that is easy the case, they should have informed me earlier itself, so that I might have arranged some other service provider. Me being a freelancer have lost my clients due to the absence of the internet and this has affected my earnings for this month.
