Let me start with one keyword "The best ever cheater is always AIRTEL" let me explain why. I bought a 4G hotspot dongle on Sep 1, 2017 for 3K. The airtel client said we will be activating the SIM within 4 hours, but it was not done. I called the airtel support and asked regarding that, they said the process may will take up to 24 hours, okay i waited for one day.. still no activation. And then again i called the support and their reply : "Today is sunday so it may activate by monday". I waited for two more days, yet no activation. After that i called to the customer support regarding the same issue... and now their reply is "we don't know the reason for not activating... search some local store and inform your issue". Okay i did.. now the local store people said... where u bought this, we can't help you !. Done. I threw the dongle outside and finished it. The frustration part or the tensed moment are if i try to call the support means, each and every time i need wait for more than 15 to talk with the support people, also i won't be succeeded by the first attempt.. it may take 3 to 4 times. Also the airtel support people convinced me to by their product.. And now am sucking every where for my money.

      Hi,

      I had received bill due notification on my prepaid number [protected] which was in inactive for a long time.

      However on 5/sep/2017 received email stating amount due to for that number. Concerned i wrote a mail to [protected]@airtel requesting for cancellation.
      They replied with cancellation is not possible as it was informed to be continued.

      Then went to customer care outlet airtel to cancel the connection for which they said to pay the bill which i paid.
      Receipt no:[protected]
      Account no: [protected]
      Mobile number: [protected]
      Transaction refe number: [protected]
      Payment date : 5/sep/2017
      Amount piad: 731

      After which it was informed that the number belong to someone else named"shiva".

      All these miss communication had led to loss of bill amount.

      Kindly revert the amount been paid the details of payment are specified above.
      Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
      I have not used my sim fo some days so it is not working

        We are facing many problems for few months ago.
        In our area we are using airtel connection before 10 years ago.
        Now the problems are
        1- often the network signals disappear for 1or 2 minutes.

        2- when i am going to data connection on then the signal dropping and showing emergency call only.

        3- in running of voice call the call automatically disconnect.
        4- voice call quality is very bad.

        5- i am using 3g package but speed is below 300 kbps.

        6- to use 3g pack,
        We use maximum time 2g services.
        Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

        In my house i do not get network to call means in my house it shows emergency calls only or sometimes no service please do some thing

          I have complaint several times for the internet speed and unavaiblity of network or internet but till date airtel was unable to solve my complaint.
          I have complaint for my 2 airtel numbers i am also paying regular bills on time to airtel but unable to use the inernet services from three months.

          Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
          My phone accidentally slipped from my hand which was unintentional and my claim was rejected by reason "improper handling | no proper care of handset has been taken by insured to safeguard the property".

          I do not understand how this can be a reason to reject my claim.

            Two times i applied porting from docomo to airtel. First time it rejected due to some issue, and it has been 15 days since i applied for porting second time. Today, my previous sim has stopped working since morning. I have been calling airtel agent many times for last 10 days. Moreover, i visited panchkula service center one time but they said only agent can give you the sim. Alt co - [protected].

              I got a message from airtel (Airsep) on 4th sept 2017 23:33 mentioning that namkeen pack services has been activated on my phone for 1 week and they would be adding rs 35 in my bill for a week and this would be automatically renewed every week. On calling airtel, to know what the service is all about becuase i never raised this activation request, they are saying that they dont have information about it as it is 3rd party service. But i got the message immediately that they deactivated it. I really dont understand that how come airtel does not information about the service they can activate or deactivate. They say that i would have clicked on an advertisment or something and the service got activated but airtel has no information.

              My concerns are
              1. What is that service all about
              2. How did the value added service got activated without my consent

              Exactly same thing happened to me this morning. I was dead asleep at 6:20 AM when I received the message of service being activated. As we can see in the screenshot. Luckily I saw it first thing in the morning and deactivated it.

              And this is not the First time. Earlier same thing happened to me couple of service worth 65 Rs and 35 Rs got activated and I was charged for it for two months. When I actually when through my bill I came to know about the service being activated. I never requested about either of it. And the same thing, when I asked about it in customer services, they said I might have clicked on some advertisement and it got activated and they have no idea about what service is all about.

              This is clear that I am not the only one. And this morning, clearly there was no body home except me and yet service got activated. I am not sure why Airtel is doing this to their customer but this is very cheap trick to earn money.

              Anyway this mobile carriers are collecting all sorts of data from us. Why can't they tell us about the service they are providing. I might be missing something here. But from what I can see, Airtel is not being fair to their customer.
              Today afternoon (24 / 01 / 2018) even at 2.27 pm, got the similar message informing Namkeen pack services has been activated on my phone for 1 week and they would be adding rs 35 in my bill for a week and this would be automatically renewed every week. I never asked even in a dream any such value-added services.
              I have gone through airtel complaints forum and saw N numbers of the same complaint and reached a conclusion that Airtel is doing unethical and unfair business by activating such value-added services without customers' consent.
              Today (13th Feb) I also got the same message. When I reached to Airtel customer care they told me that I have activated via sms but I havn't send any message even i was not using my mobile when got this message.

              Can I complain about this to consumer court??
              I also got the same message today Jun 21, 2018. These guys are cheating the people. They just bluffing that we activated through SMS but it wrong we didn't send any SMS.
              Same thing happened with my number also today(27 August 2018) at 10:36pm. My phone was on my table and I got the message that 35rupees have been deducted for something called Namkeen pack. They're cheating customers of their money. Loose change of 35-40 from 10lac customers can easily make 3.5-4 crores for them.
              same happens with me. suddenly got a message that pack is activated, which I never activated. when called customer care, all they said is that they don't have any information regarding this services and they didn't activate that. but when asked to de-activate that, they de-activated the service that very moment. Strange thing is they don't know anything about the service but they have rights to activate it and deactivate the same.
              Today same thing happened with me at 22:57pm.i was not even using my phone and I got the message that 35rupees have been deducted for something called Namkeen pack. They're big frauds!! Cheaters!!
              My mothers phone had this exact same issue. [protected]. When I first called customer care about this, they are not even sure about what the service is about. Even if I pressed for description of service could not get one line of description about the service. All they can say is its a third party service and they don't have any info on it. And apparently this gets "resubscribed" after a fixed time and again Rs 35 is deducted from the account. They are cheating the public by saying that we are activating it "by mistake". There is no confirmation message sent by them that is service is activated and simply balance gets reduced. People should come together and make Airtel answerable to this fraud.
              Exactly Same issue. I don't even know how I got activated for two pack. One mittikerang and namkeen each costing 99 and 35 rupees. Airtel has got a good way of thefting customers money with out there consent. Shame on you Airtel for doing such kind of fraud. This is not the first time this is 2nd time it is happening. Airtel might luting lakhs of customers money.
              I had the same problem today. I remember getting a message almost a week ago saying that Rs.35 have been deducted from your account. I got angry but I was busy at that time so I just thought I might have pressed something wrong and ignored the message. Today I got a message that the service has been auto renewed and Rs.35 have been deducted yet again. I tried to check on the internet what the hell this service is about and this is the first link I landed on. Everybody seems to be having the same experience. They message you at odd hours, so you think you only might have pressed something wrong. I called the customer care, they told me I activated the service by double conformation, this just fueled my anger, pressing something by mistake is one thing but double conformation is not a joke. They quickly agreed to give me Rs.35 back, for the renewal thing but now won't give Rs.70 back. That was again a trigger. How can you accept half a mistake, what does that even mean? I told them about the similar complaints on this forum and everything and it was clear that they understand that this happens frequently, they were just trying to give me Rs.35 back so that I think they have done me a favour. I told them that I'll complain about this, with their names, on twitter and on consumer forums. Long story short, they returned Rs.70. They know they are cheating us and they still continue to do that. [I don't understand the rating system on this forum. When do you call a complaint good!! ]

              Their customer calls are chargeable. May be they keep doing this ### just to make us call them. Itni badi company chalane wale log itne chindi honge kya! I wonder. If we look at all the customer calls collectively, they probably do make a lot of money from them too.
              I got the same message today. Last month also I got this message but I ignored but today when I called customer care about it, they had no idea about and kept me waiting for long. This issue should be raised collectively. What a cheap way to earn. TRAI being known for its strictness is not looking into the manner. Customer satisfaction is zero in India.

                    It is humble request to you, kindly don't give people this vary much kind of service now a days.in the name of 4g we cant use your 2g service, my phone shows 4g network but, when anybody calls me it shows either switch off or not reachable (Phone has full network bars but when some one phone me the signal bars goes invisible).
                    My request to you is kindly solve your service related problem or discount our whole sims (In my family there are atleast 45 user of airtel but now all can think about to port in another service provider)

                      Few days ago i have send a mail reagarding network issue and i got a call from your end they told me to change the sim as i informed him that recently i have upgraded the sim than also he told me to change the sim i have done so, but the network issue is same today in morning it was showing emergency call only. I just got fed up with the service if its so than finely i need to change the network to some other service as previous the number was in vodafone than change to airtel 5 years ago and now airtel is doing the same please try to resolve it as soon as possible other wise i have only one option that is mnp

                          I went to relatives last week in hyderabad. There was no signal at all in the home. We could make a call from outside of the house yet frequent call drop - often annoying. Even had to miss office calls there by effecting the productivity. Seems like airtel is missing on its strength (Connectivity) and focusing on hi-fi things like 4g, etc. Horrible connectivity in the cities makes me feel sad, the poor way of managing things.

                            My name is madhukar, my mobile number is [protected], iam staying in amberpet, shivam road near ayyappa swamy temple, here the network is very slow here am not even getting 2g network to use internet, lot of times i have recharged 4g plans, i have wasted my data, i have recharged with 148 plan many times and wasted my data, previously i used to get good signal, nowadays am getting set signal, my mobile number is connected with lot of banks, for internet banking i have to get otp number which is mandatory, please look into this and solve this problem or i will change my network to some other service provider.

                              This what the plan says
                              Rs 244: unlimited local+std airtel calls+ 1gb data for 70days

                              If the plan is only meant for airtel to airtel calls. So mention it correctly. The reader who reads it for the first time feels locals are free and std may be paid airtel to airtel.

                              2nd query

                              On the application it's mentioned 70days, but when confirmation msg is recevied it says "unlimited local+std airtel to airtel mobile calls with 50mb data. For 4g handset+ 4g sim, extra 1gb data. Validity 28days. T&c apply. To check balance, dial *121*2#"

                              The point i am trying to prove here is on the app validity 70days on the msg 28 days. Which should i trust

                              Completely miss guiding the people.

                              If the company is providing a service so provide it with clear instructions.

                                I m basvaraj having very bad airtel network problem, my set, sim and net package all are 4g. Registered, wrote mails to customer care but no response or not provided any solutions, the representative of customer care behavior is also not good when i called. Please take immediate action, matter is is urgent and serious.

                                  Yesterday (04.09.2019) one person was contact to me and he say "is this your number?" this number was used by me also. And he said my number was blocked.
                                  My sim number [protected] this number was used by another one person.
                                  This number was my personal use please clear that problem immediately.
                                  And this number want to me defenately. Please recover that problem before my number also blocked.

                                  I Do a Recharge of 399 at the time of recharge they say that i can use both 3g and 4g but now they say use 4g and must be 4g phone. I have recharge messege also where mention that you can use 3g but airtel change detail from info.
                                  Just i want hellotune my choice. I send ( wav and mp3) letter head and all the documents. I request for hellotune, 11 aug 2017 niw today is 30 aug. Airtel service is so poor and very bad. Now i port to idea. I request you to sir please action your team

                                      I am facing problem since 15days in internet. The 4g internet is not just working at all. Its irritating now and i have been complaining several times and they suggest different ways which is just a waste. Nothing is resolved. I have activated 499 pack which is just a waste! See to this problem asap. I have recharged of 499 which seems to be waste. I could not use more than 50mb a day. This is rediculous. I have to study through internet. Nor watsapp nor youtube none of the apps are wroking. The whole data is just wasted. 90% of the time the net doesnot work
