I had registered a cancellation of my airtel data number [protected], 3 months back by writing a letter to bharti airtel.
The number was not cancelled and i was told to pay the due rental of rs. 3654 for the same after 3 months. The number is already disconnected now and they have barred my current mobile number which is [protected].
I made the payment after telling them again and again that i asked them to disconnect the data card number and have not been using any of there services since.
But due to urgency and me being in different city i needed my phone number to be activated immediately. I made the payment of 3654 online which was declined and i lost that amount also.
Later they called and told me payment can only be made to airtel store in cases where numbers are already disconnected.
I made the payment again to the nearest airtel office on 6th august 6:10 pm and was told the number ([protected]) will be activated in next 4 hours.
After half hour i got a call from airtel saying the payment is done by card and will not be reflected in our system until 24 hours, which i was not told before making payment or even during the payment.
The number was not activated even after 24 hours and upon calling airtel customer support people asked me to wait for another 4 hours and that my number activation is processed since the payment is reflected.
My number was still not activated till the very next dat 8th august, which is 34 hours after i made the payment. I called the customer service again and told them the whole incident again. They asked me to wait online while they transfer the call to manager, which never happened. I waited to 15-20 mins on call and then i was told managers are busy and they will work upon the request in next 6 hours and get me a call back, which again never happened.
I called after 6 hours and the same scenario was repeated over and this time they told me to wait for 2 hours for the call back and that managers were busy currently, on which i got angry and told them to file a complained against airtel.
After this, they made me wait for another 15 mins and then transfered my call to concerned dept. There was a mr. Kartik on the other side of the call who again told me that number will take another 4 hours to activate.
I am very much disappointed by airtels service and behaviour and lost 2 interview calls because of there uninformed act of barring my outgoing services and and not activating upon paying them twice.
I am attaching a screenshot of payment being made and my services yet not started.

I recharged Power Rs.24/- on 29.06.16. After recharge Power, your company sometimes has deducted extra amount of Airtel to Airtel and Airtel to others Today Airtel has deducted 90 paise from Airtel to Airtel talking (1 Min. 23 Sec.) after recharging Power of Rs. 24/- on 01.08.16.
In this context, I have to think whether I shall in Airtel.
