I had requested, a few months back, an airtel hotspot dongle. I was intending to use it primarily to wfh when our home internet went out, and in the manipal hospital (My mother was in the icu then).
I was told falsely by airtel that they had working services, and they sold me a wireless dongle under these false pretenses, for which i paid over rs 2300.
From day 1, the service was poor, and when my mother eventually got discharged, i found that the dongle never worked from the home address where the airtel representative came to to sell me the dongle.
When i complained, airtel dodged around for a while, before telling me that they had no tower in my area and the situation would be like that for 90 days!!!
I told airtel to cancel my service immediately, and to return the money i paid for the dongle under false pretenses.
They refused to return the money i paid for the dongle, and insist that i pay for services billed to and beyond the date i requested the cancellation.
Now they call me every day, harass me, and use abusive language on the phone.
