My prepaid connection was disconnected with wrong reason and causing me inconvenience. When I received the msg saying that they are going to disconnect my number because non usage in last 90 days, I sent email with details. I received reply immediately saying that they verifyed the usage and ignore the msg and balance Rs.1 only and recharge. When we try to recharge they said it is disconnected. I sent email again and received reply saying that it is disconnected and the can't do any thing. Now I am in USA and helpless to do anything. Why should I suffer for their mistake? While in roaming, you can latch on to the coverage either by selecting Automatic Roaming or Manual Roaming. In case, you are unable to latch on to the tie-up network automatically, please select the network manually.
1. Select phone settings menu on the handset
2. Select Network selection option
3. Select Manual or Automatic option
Your phone display will either show the operator's name or the operator's code number.
In case of Manual Roaming, the network searches for the available operators in that area and then latches on to the strongest network available.
You may select the network as per our tie up operator listed on our website.
Please note:
1. Manual Roaming should be used when you do not latch to the network automatically.
2. You can only login with the service operators with whom airtel has tie-ups.
3. Login to www.airtel.in to know more about the tie-up networks and international roaming packs
4. *123# would not work while in international roaming.

We would also like to inform you that, services to your SIM would be discontinued if there is no usage found on your airtel mobile number for 90 days. Usage could be with respect to an outgoing call/SMS/data usage. Beyond the 90 days period, in case of no usage seen, charges of Rs 20 per month would be deducted from your main account balance towards service extension. In case of insufficient balance, your number would permanently disconnected.
