I am using Airtel Prepaid number [protected] here at Kolkata and i am experiencing frequent network issues. Most of the times there is not signal at all and at other times the signal is very weak. I have raised several complaints with the customer care team but they don't have the courtesy to give any updates of the issue. They perfectly live up to the image of been unprofessional just as their company is. If airtel thinks the customers can be bullied like this to buy their much publicized low grade 4G network then i feel they are all set to loose a lot of customers in the future, because they don't have the infrastructure to support this stuff( This is still in India and not a western country after all !! So we don't even expect the moon.)
So if someone reading this bothers to give a call and fix up this issue that will be great else its time to change subscriber.

    Hi,

    I had ported from Idea to Airtel [protected]. I received messages from Airtel that the documents which i submitted has been approved and forwarded the request to Idea for further process and the Idea network has gone away on my number from yesterday midnight, i was waiting for the Airtel signal on my number and till now (after more than 12 hours of downtime), the signal is not there.

    I had been contacting the customer care through 198 and complaining about this. Everyone is giving me different answers and none of them resolved the issue so far.

    Can somebody let me know what is happening? The mobile number has been down for more than 12 hours and that is definately not a good sign.

      I have five Airtel nos in my household. I stay in Patparganj, New Delhi and was getting good connectivity tiil one fine day, all of them stopped showing connectivity in our building and since then I have been calling up and writing to their customer service at 121 and then to their appellate. Till now they have raised three service request nos but not made any efforts to rectify the problem. They have a standard reply and keep extending the dates for response by closing the existing complaint no and creating a new one ! I have written to the company not to bill me for the days the connectivity was lost and no service available for which they are silent. I would other subscribers to reconsider their choice of Airtel as their service levels are dropping as their calls are even in the national capital of Delhi.

          Ref air tel 4g connection [protected] The airtel device installed at my home is not fetching a speed of more than 1 Mbps. I logged a complaint with Airtel reference 65428312... On 6 oct'15 which still stands unresolved after 7 days. Today when i called Airtel customer care---i was shocked to know--my complaint was closed---that too without a resolution. i have now logged another complaint to which i have got the same response---your issue will be attended in 4 days... Is Airtel conducting a speed challenge or Laughter challenge with other ISP's. is 4 G only a gimmick..I would prefer going for a vodafone 4 g, the day its operational in Pune.

            CAF NO HY[protected] NO AND ACCOUNT NO.[protected] FOR DEACTIVATION AND REFUND.

            After 6 months also airtel has not refunded my money 6500/- and cheated me by transferring money in to wrong account which was not at all provided by me.

            Every month they keep promising me resolution and its now 6 months that they have not refunded my money though i have provided documents requested from them again and again.

            I paid cash to Airtel.in 6500/- for a new connection but due to technical issue i have to cancel the connection and applied for refund. The executive who was working on this issue has not responded to me for a month and i raised a issue in appellate.[protected]@in.airtel.com and came to know that my money was refunded in account no - [protected] citi bank which was a fraud done by airtel or its executive by transferring money in there personal account or wrong account.

            I raised request that its not my account and to provide any proof that i have given the above account details which they failed and request for my personal account statement and cancelled cheque which i provided very next day.

            Now its 6 months and airtel south team which is one pathetic team keep mail me that refund is already done again i have to submit all document and again the same story and from 6 months this people are playing games with me and not refunding my money to me.

            I raised compliant in my consumer sites and this people keep promising to pay and then again the same story starts.

            People be careful to pay airtel for any connection you are applying.

                 False Information updated against mailing address:- When I was took new connection I was filled application form along with KYC documents submitted to your service executive who came to my office and collected the same. Same was initiated at your end for televerification, physical verification and kyc documents verification everything done and address confirmed when I see online my mailing address surprise to see for address updation. What is the purpose of given the kyc documents and multiple cross verification everything completed but address wrongly updated. Why I should give again same address proof. How come trust again data entry error not to be happen. Why you are not checking your data base scan image documents or you can contact your service centre and retrieval the photo copy of kyc documents. How you can manage customer kyc document – as per t telecommunication dept policy kyc norms to be follows strictly but nothing implemented at your simply what ever do data entry the same is correct but not checking kyc docs.  Why CUG numbers are getting charged in SPLIT bills of Sept month My mobile number has been included in CUG of Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd, based on this i have took two nos to Airtel below listed numbers successfully did MNP from Vodafone to Airtel based on your airtel team confirmation CUG taken . Now you guys created CUG i.e Parent ID for all the three numbers separately. Sorry to say what kind of stupidity is this, its shows how efficient you are in your service. Hence I request you to add properly all these below numbers under one Parent ID of Indibulls Housing Finance Ltd.  CUG Numbers - Rajkumar N / [protected] & 70 Sl. User Name Mobile No 1 S Balasubramanian [protected] 2 R Venugopal [protected]  CUG Numbers charged in September 2015 bill and hard copy as on date not received:- When we was took MNP from Vodafone to Airtel connection clearly informed that we need Group CUG and given those 3 numbers but surprise to see when we see online bill its showing those numbers are charged. Immeditly called to customer care team regarding this issue but simply taking request nothing will happened as on today. Multiple mails and escalation also same template mail only received . I don't thing there is no difference between customer care, nodal and appellate, all are sent same template message. Finally walk into airtel showroom, they are told that pls provide again one set of kyc, application form, including photo etc for CUG group activation. Such a pathetic service.  Hard Copy & Soft of First Month Bill not received on date :- I hope bill date is 26th sept 2015 generated, when I took new connection itself, tele verification and awareness call also clearly informed that I need hard copy of bill for claiming bill in my office but also most 15 days over till that time bill not received and one week back itself I told that I need hard copy of bill but no improvement on this. How will claim from my office after due date to my bill. Again dragging to send the bill to me.if you are not able to delivery the hard copy of bill before 15th October 2015 I need full amount reversal of this bill. This service hardly one month completed but multiple issue, no solution provider, when ever sent the mail template answer only reply they are reading content and not accepting your data entry error and internal errors simply asking documents and dragging complaints Totally fed up your service on first month itself. Mentally irritation of your service.                 I have sent multiple reminder mails and calls but as such no solution on this. Today I also went to near by airtel show room, service executive asking again full set of document for re process. Sorry to say worst service. Til not accepting mistakes. I am ready take to challenge airtel done wrong data entry if errors proved can you offer one year bills free and if you proved address is updated as per kyc documents I can accept your terms and condition.
                You have done KYC documents original verified, kyc with self documents collected along with application form, tele verification and physical verification also done. All verification reports are very much available with your system. Why again asking same proof. How can trust again you will be update perfect.
                As per telecommunication dept advice. Applicant KYC documents to be followed strictly but your system updated false information how will match address proof and your system address.. why your people not retrival the scan image or you can mail concern airtel store, they have maintain very much of this record. This is recently one month back only availed connection.
                Hard copy bill also till not received.. there is no difference betweeen 121 customer care and appallete. All the mails are template reply.
                Any one can address this issue.

                    I have using a wifi router 4g connection from past 4 months. At the time of installation the person came to check the connectivity at my place and showed me a speed of around 30 MBPS on his device. After the connection was activated on my device I was getting an average speed of 9-10 MBPS. On contacting the call center I was informed that the minimun speed for 4g was 5 MBPS. From last 2 months the speed has dropped to 0.4 MBPS, 10% of the committed speed. I have written almost 15 mails to Airtel, but they are not giving any reply to resolve the problem. They are just sending me bills and not even a single person has visited the site to check the issue from last 2 months. The airtel people are so reckless that they have even stopped replying to mails, the basic sense of customer service is missing in these guys.

                      Airtel Team, Aug 15, 2015 was the 1st time when I stepped into an Airtel Store for a simple MNP request; and since then, it has become a regular chore! Here's why : 1. Without prior intimation, the address verification team arrived at my residence while I was at office. Naturally, the verification failed! 2. After a good 20 days or so, I filed a fresh MNP request at a different airtel store with clear instructions on which address to visit on which day. Things looked fine! 3. After another good 5 days or so, when nothing had moved, I had to go to the store again to check on what was going on. Looked like they had not even forwarded the documents further for processing. After this visit, they finally did it. 4. The verification personnel finally arrived at the right place, scribbled some data from me and took my signatures. 5. On September 21, 2015, I received the most awaited text message that read : Activation update: Address verification has been successfully completed for your airtel mobile [protected]. For further update, SMS STATUS [protected] to 121. 6. After another week or so, my airtel SIM card was finally activated. P.S. only the SIM, not the services. Apparently, I was supposed to call some cust care number for so called "address verification"! 7. Midnight 12 O'clock when the airtel sim was activated, I dialed the customer care number. After a good wait of 45 to 60 mins, your executives cared to answer me, proceed with verification etc. Services was finally enabled next day morning! 8. Barely 5 or 6 days had passed, when my outgoing and Internet was blocked! And when I called customer care for reason, to my surprise it was - "Address verification failed". The executive agreed that the status reflected in system is incorrect, yet he tried to coerce me to visit Airtel store to re-submit the documents and go through the entire verification process once again! The executive however, failed to convince me why I should be doing so instead of the backend team correcting the flaws in the airtel system update process. As per what I understood, the executives cannot do much about it in terms of escalations etc. What a pity! 9. I went to the airtel store anyway. And as expected, these guys came up with a new story : "The address had to be verified for both the addresses that I mentioned in form." Nobody ever called me for the other address verification in the first place! After some rounds of arguments, these guys promised the services would be restored by next day. 10. And it did! It was like winning some battle, and I was barely satisfied; until today when I had to call the customer care once again for some info. And guess what news I got instead : Their system says, my number state is - Pending for suspension since Oct 7. Upon pressing the executive a little more, he checked and said that the status for my residence address verification is showing "completed successfully". Ironically, my number is still pending for suspension! Now, would you care to answer some queries : 1. Do you even have a proper "Definition of Done (DoD)" for address verification process? If so, why is your entire crew not "consistently" aware of it? And by crew, I mean : The backend team, the customer care team and Airtel store folks! 2. If some status is wrong in your system, why do you expect the customer to undergo the entire process again instead of correcting the flaw in your own system? 3. When you do not, under any circumstances, start services in an airtel postpaid sim, without address verification being completed successfully - how is it reasonably possible for status to suddenly change to "address verification rejected" after the services has been started? 4. How can the status of my residence address verification show, in your system, as "successfully completed" while at the same time, my number be pending for suspension? Is your backend system run by a bunch o[censored]nprofessionals who change the status whimsically? 5. If you must know, this sim is under CUG plan. Which means, I am a working professional. Do you even understand the impact an end customer like me has when you whimsically stop, suspend or block the services? That too without any decency of atleast informing the customer in advance! Do you have any idea how many important calls I failed to answer back - because your system updated my number status as "address verification failed"? And for no fault of my own! 6. If you must also know, I don't have an alternate local number. I stay alone. What if I have to make an emergency call at some ungodly hour? Do you have any idea on how you might be playing with people's lives? Some suggestions (if you care) : 1. Revamp your address verification process. Educate your entire crew on the same with "consistent" information. 2. Have the decency to inform the consumer that you are going to disable the services so that they are better prepared for emergency situations. 3. Play "your call is imp to us" a little less, and act on it a little more! What takes customer care 45 mins to answer a call? 4. If you are so intent to make us unnecessarily visit "airtel stores" every now and then, arrange for complimentary beer and snacks. I won't mind wasting my time there then. 5. When people complain, take it seriously. Have someone contact customer back to check on what's going. I guess, I've written enough. I'd be forwarding a copy of this mail to consumer forums. I'd definitely like to have an on call meeting - if you wish so. P. S.: Your 4G services may be the best as you claim in advertisements (not sure, because you keep suspending my number and I haven't really got a peaceful chance to experience it!); but your customer services definitely isn't! Unfortunately, I have to stay with this for another 2 months or so before switching back to other network provider!

                        Have requested a portability from the Vodafone to Airtel for the no.[protected], and the portability was done on 9/10/2015 around 22.45 and have not connected and just giving a flying answers despite so many complaints, being a woman was travelling on business travel, and people are not able to reach me and it says no. Does not exist and it's creating so much of business loss and shame as my profile is popular and using the same no for past 10 years. Request you resolve and save my face value. Very irresponsible co. in terms of services false promises that's all by cheating people.

                          Hi My name is Yuvaraj Kamalay. I have been using Airtel postpaid connection from past 4 years and have been airtel subscriber from past 10 years. From my past bill, I have been charged 100 rs extra stating that I have used 530 mb of data. I have requested Airtel to explain me As per the bill, it shows that on 30th itself I have crossed 500 mb, where as when I sent sms as"3G USE " to Airtel "121" number, I have received the reply as I have used 495 MB of data out of 500 mb. I have stopped using the internet from 2 Oct to 8 Oct just to avoid any surprise usages. As I expected when I called customer is unable to explain the details and the respective person continuously saying that I have used extra data in a very arrogant tone.I have asked his name, he said he won't tell e his name and he will not transfer the call to his supervisor also. It's fine If I have used it really, but I am 100% confident based on the airtel messages that I have received before bill generation, I have not passed 500 mb of data. This may be very silly question here. But the way customer service team treats its customers highly disappointing.

                          One of the supervisor called from Airtel. He is very polite and reponsive. Its good to see the response coming from Airtel. I thought I will not get a call. However its good to see Airtel respects the customer's feedback.

                                Unresolved complaints and wrong guidance I have been using Airtel DTH for more than four years. Customer id is [protected] I have a DVR setup box and it is connected to a dish antenna. Since few months, we noticed issues with video, some times there is no video while the audio continues uninterrupted. Logged complaints with Airtel support and everytime the technician would visit my home, do nothing and assure that everything is working fine. He would charge 150 Rs for each visit. This has happened four times over the last six months. Since the issue was intermittent we didnt bother. Since July end, the issue started increasing, video would stop suddenly for a period of 20 seconds and would resume on its own. So again we logged a complaint 45709137 on 31 July 2015. The technician said that the setup box has to be replaced with a new one. He was not able to speak in english or hindi and told us to pay 600 rs for a HD setup box (recording option) with external recording in USB or pay 2500 rs for a HD setup (with recording option) with internal storage 500 GB. He was not able to explain properly when I asked him a few details about file format, file size for recording. He said 600 Rs setup box will with a minimum 4GB USB drive. We paid him the money, he installed and left. I have two separate cables from the antenna, one for recording and the other for Live watching. When I asked him why he is using only one cable, he couldnt answer and only said that the setup box would work. While watching we realized the limitations - it would not allow us to watch a different program than what we are recording. This defeats the very purpose of a DVR setup box. Next day we called this guy and he tells it is not possible to change the setup box and we need to pay 4000 rs for an equivalent of the one we were having previously. During all this the technician took our old setup box without informing us and now they are not returning the setup box. They took it without our permission and downgraded the entire setup. I must have called (several ( may be 20 times, need to check mobile bill for call records) to airtel customer support and everytime I would need to repeat the story. Everytime they would say we would escalate to the escalation department and they would call you in the evening ( if we call in morning) or morning (if I call in the evening). In the last call, I told the customer support guy to put me across to escalation department and spoke with one escalation lead. He conferenced me with the technician and that fellow was in complete denial mode, rude and argumentative. Sometime during the call, airtel customer support guy dropped off. I called back and asked for a senior rank to speak to. Details I was given are - Nodal officer, Ramkumar, phone number[protected] to speak with. Since it was 8.30 PM in the night, I was told to speak with the Nodal officer next day and this phone number does not work at all when we tried next day. This is cheating and extremely painful. I need my money and setup box returned. Further, I am using airtel app and the DTH connection is also linked. The airtel customer support are not registering the complaints also, I only see two complaints 46016628, 46054046 logged for the several calls I have made to airtel support. Further the resolution notes mentioned on the tickets are irrelevant and false.

                                    Hi Airtel Team, I'm user of Airtel, landline, broadband and IPTV since 2009. I had put a request for cancellation of my airtel landline/broadband/IPTV (relationship number:[protected] for all services on Tue Oct 06. Reference number for same is 60341574. I put the request as I was availing the speed the speed of 512 kbps only and was paying high amount for same where in the market other players are providing higher speeds in same or lesser amount. The very next day on Wed Oct 07, I got a call from your retention team. I was offered a plan where I will be offered 2 mbps of speed with 22 GBs (7+15) of data thereafter back to 512 kbps, unlimited local and national calling for a subscription of Rs 99 and IPTV with more channels. The combined monthly subscription for all services to Rs 1308 inclusive of all taxes. I was also told that my cancellation request will automatically stand void. I was told that during switch-over to new plan, my phone and Internet will continue working whereas IPTV will be suspended for 24-48 hours. I was again contacted by your team on Thu Oct 09 for the conformation of the same and asked them to go ahead to change my plan. My IPTV services were suspended on Thu Oct 09 in the morning around 11am IST and since then the services are not resumed. I've reached out to 121 customer care atleat for 5-6 times since then and everytime I was told that the services will be resumed in 48-72 hours which is not acceptable as well not communicated correctly. Now the things have become frustating and request you to take this on urgent basis and resolve the issue. -- Thanks Ritesh

                                        I have been having disconnection issues since 25th of september 2015. After trying to fix the issue online, the complaint was registered on 29th of september 2015. Since then the technician has visited house multiple times and could not fix the issue. Moreover, the technician keeps updating that the issue is fixed and closes the complaint from the backend. Even after escalating the issue, nothing was done. If i call the customer support they ask for 24hrs. I have been calling daily complaining the same and everyday they say the complaint is marked as closed and they are re-opening. The complaint reference number is given as '60108164'. The disconnection happens very frequently and does not connect back for 30-40 minutes. After which, even if it connects, the connection stays only for a maximum of 1 minute. Yesterday too, i spoke to a lady to cancel the connection as the bill was generated for full amount even though i could never use in the past 15 days. She promised to answer before 12PM today but nothing seems to have been done. Can somebody respond from Airtel?
