 As the subject of this complaint suggests I am a victim of Airtel's unfair data usage calculation and excessive charging for the 3G data usage and through this forum I would like to throw light on how the telecom major uses petty and cheap tricks to drain the last penny out of its subscriber's pockets. So what Airtel does is that it charges you for using 3G from your account balance even if you have used 3G less than your data pack. And the worst part is that it is not a one time deduction this has been going on for a very long time now and they have been fooling their subscribers for quite some time. These deductions have happened with me on a regular basis and after getting totally frustrated by this I have decided to write this complaint as complaining to them on their IVR is of no use as they keep your call on a perpetual hold. I have been an Airtel subscriber for ages now but I think the buck stops here. I don't think I need to stress on the importance of keeping the subscriber happy, as it is we are paying a bomb for the outdated 3G data packs when everyone else has moved on to better and faster technologies of data transmission and after all that to get cheated is the last thing a consumer wants. What I want from Airtel is to look into this matter and resolve it as soon as possible as these practices are hurting their credibility. I got robbed of 400 rupees due to their unfair policies in the last such instance, I know it's not a big amount to you guys but it is about ethics in the end.
Entering to the complete explanation:
On Aug 14th midnight i.e entering to Aug 15th my balance was about Rs. 504-543, I activated Rs. 49 night data pack which gives 1GB data... I started updating mobile which consumes data 664.54 MB... But after updation I checked my bal it's Rs.202.64...I was tensed and called customer executive but it says we are connecting call and disconnects automatically, , , again I have activated night pack Rs.49 I have downloaded few videos which has total size of 700 MB suddenly video stopped downloading and I checked balance Rs.0...Guys what's going on here... (I am using bsnl Sim in my second mobile I have activated 3G pack of Rs.68 validity 7 days I have updated tat mobile and still browsing what's app etc... But still 150 MB remains) No intimation in between if I crossed data limit...
Conclusion:
I have activated 2 GB data and consumed from tat around nearly 1.8gb but why the nonsense you have deducted Rs. 400...
I have called morning to customer service of airtel one guy spoked to me in the way as he couldn't do anything:

And I am going to file a complaint... Bcoz we the people work from morning to evening to earn Rs.400... It's not a small amount Sir/Madam..
