Applied for Broad band connection with AIRTEL after they confirming me so many times on phone. Feasibility check was completed and they money Rs.550 from me. After 2 days, i got call saying connection not available and amount will be refunded. They asked me so many proofs for it and i provided the same. I got cheque on wrong name and for only 500/-. Later again i mailed them and gave again required ID proof for correct name and provided receipts for Rs.550/- Even second time i got same cheque with same incorrect name and amount. Shame on AIRTEL that they dont care upon customers. Not even one proper response was given to me from Airtel. I have begging them for response and they dont care about that. Daily different people call me and ask for same details again and again. i am spending so much time almost 2 months for getting back my money which they dont care about.

Still these people doesn't care about mails i am dropping and giving standard replies


My concern:

Where have you people registered my concern? Do i need to plead you people for
getting proper responses also? I have requested for different mode of payment
and i do not want cheques to be given to me 'N' number of times with mistakes
again and again? Where is the response for this?
Isn't there at least one responsible person to provide proper response to
customers?
Do you people need 2 months to give proper response and 1 just one day to
collect money.
Why don't you take these 4 working days to enquire about connection before
collecting money from me? Why the hell i should beg you people for my hard
earned 550 Rs.

Basis on your conversation with Mr. Sunil, on [protected] dated 19-February-2014, we would like to inform that a complaint regarding the refund is already registered with us and the same will be addressed within 20 working days.


We request you to wait till the stipulated time frame.


airtel regrets the inconvenience you have experienced.
To Airtel,

Is above incident true? Refund cheque sent twice bearing wrong name? Deliberate or due to technical glitch? Will Airtel look into problem?

To Swapan (Victim),

1. Escalate the matter to nodal officer level along with the proofs and copy of correspondences you had so far with Airtel. (Use google to find email ID. If you are not able to do so, let me know, I will help you.)
2. Share your experience with your friends and relative verbally and through emails requesting them to forward the same to their friends
3. Post your experience on Facebook/Twitter.
4. As a last resort you can approach customer relief forums of TV channels like Zee (Zee Helpline), CNBC Aawaz (Pehredar), UTV Bloomberg (Fightback)

My belief is that Airtel is deliberately doing all this.

      Airtel is not processing my shifting request for broadband connection (airtel fixedline no is[protected] Hi, My airtel fixedline no is[protected] I have made shift request for my airtel broadband connection on 1st feb 2014. Someone from customer care told me at the time of request that I would have got the connection within 5 working days. Nothing happened But, I got an SMS on Feb 10th stating that I would have got the connection in another 5 days. I waited for it but again nothing happend. Then, I myself called customer care again on 15th Feb, they told that Connection is not feasible at the new address. Hence, I made a cancellation request immediately. The next day(16th Feb), a guy called Sugumaaran from customer retention team and he said the connection is possible at the new address now and I would be getting the connection the next day which 17th Feb. As usaul, I didnt get the connection on 17th too. Nothing happend on 17th, I got a call and was requested one more day for connection. Nothing happend on 18th, I got a call and was requested one more day for connection. Nothing happend I got a call today from a person called Vaani, She told me that I need to wait for another 3 days. I am really being annoyed by your customer care. Please do the needful. I have a strong believe that Airtel will be providing me the required help. -Tamilselvan

        I have been with Airtel for almost a decade now and for the first time I needed some help from them but has been a trauma looking for a solution for 3 weeks which they claim to solve in 72 hours.

        I hold an Airtel prepaid number [protected] which I have requested to transfer to myplan 3 weeks back. There are so many un-monitored agencies started by Airtel who come and collect the documents.

        They collected the documents on the promise that they will give me a microsim replacement the next day of submission of documents. However, after calling them for three days finally the agency says we can only provide you the normal sim and you'll have to collect the micro one from the Airtel showroom. I then asked them to cancel my request and he promised that i am tearing the documents and you can take the connection from showroom.

        And the moment I went to the CP, Delhi showroom, the misery started. They took the papers and requested that since we are moving showroom so if we take 5 days will that be ok? and I agreed. After 5 days i get a call that your number is blocked by the agency and we're trying to solve it. They have now stopped picking up calls and I am so upset with their service and facing constant network issues as well.

        I am now going to change my service provider to Vodafone. Airtel literally sucks and don't care for their long standing customer. It has been so much difficult to get through the stupid customer care and they only suggest to visit the relationship centre and relationship centre never responds.

          I registered for new account for airtel money. Paid my Airtel Landline bill in the next 2 days. I did this to receive 10% cash back but they are now saying that it is valid for 3 months consicutive payments. When i insisted and showed them link, they are saying it is for payment via online method and not via *400#. This is absolutely not acceptable behaviour for not credit cash back. I was talking about offer 1 in attached screen shot and if we go via its terms, cash back should be made available for both modes of payment. I am their Prepaid mobile, land line, broadband and now money customer and they are doing this with me. I am associated with aritel for last 1 year and still its happening. Not at all a creditable company as er my exp. Beware all Gaurav

              You guys have pathetic service in the broadband sphere. The executives are proactive in collecting money but when it comes to installation they end up frustrating the customer. I had applied for it on 7th Feb and till date neither did i get the money back nor the connection. I[censored] are just concerned about the money and not services then i would request sit on the road and beg rather than cheating the customers like this. PATHETIC! stop playing around with dates and start taking care of your customers or soon the company will see its demise.

                  We (3 No's) were given the following plan Plan: 99 Rental CUG 325 Calls 300 SMS 2Gb 2G/ month GPRS service had been activated on 10 FEB 2014 18:50. But since last week the service has not been functional, and calling 198, they say the service has been never been activated neither they are activating it. I have clear SMS indicating that the service has been activated. Now they say no such plan exists and show the sms to airtel gallery for further issues. When I Went to the airtel gallery aundh, pune they gave me the following email id corporate.[protected]@in.airtel.com and nodal.[protected]@in.airtel.com saying we cant view the details of these numbers and only corporate accessholder can look into this matter. I really dont care who can view the accounts or not... its not my isssue. I have 3 clear sms that the GPRS Plan has been activated. They just keep saying that the plan got deactivated automatically. I am looking into some email address where i can get proper resolution as they are not letting our 3 numbers to port out. Also guide me how to file a consumer complaint regarding this clear case of cheating.

                      Hi Team, I have converted from postpaid to prepaid on 18nov2013. I need to get refund of Rs.2550/- . They informed me that i will get a cheque in 45 working days. more than 3 months passed away...am unable to get back my money...if i pay my bill 1-2 days in delay you may charge fine of 100Rs extra.                         I am using alive net cug 499 combo plan which has 1.5GB of 3G data free.Since I was reaching maximum capacity of data plan I used to activate smart buys provided by Airtel.I got a call from Airtel stating that u can avail 2GB of 3G data by paying 450Rs extra. I agreed to it.So according to me as of now I should have 3.5 GB of 3G data. But once I got bill I saw that I had only 2 GB of data was free and previous 1.5GB of data has been deactivated.And they state that I had only 1GB 3G data free for 499 plan(PFA for proof). So unnecessarily Airtel is charging me 450+taxes just for 0.5GB of extra data.I escalated this issue but they refunded me 1000 but the plan was continued for next month too and again I need to pay unnecessary charges.And they were able to clarify my issue after 20days.

                          I did Internet recharge of Rs. 149 (1 GB)On 13 Feb 2014. Buteven after having this data pack activated on my number from 15 Feb 2014morning my talk time balance is deducted for net usage.

                          I am using Airtel internet service from around 1 year andnever faced such problem and neither at this time I have downloaded anythingextra/different.

                          It seems that this is a technical issue because of which mydata plan expired so soon.

                          Total loss is:
                          all below mentioned amount got wasted which was neverrefunded and even I have not used this much.

                          149 – net recharge on 13 Feb 2013
                          120 – Talk time recharge on 15 Feb 2013
                          120 – talk time recharge (don’t remember the date it wasjust before the above two) – had net pack activated this time as well still hada deduction from main balance
                          60 recharge - talktime recharge (don’t remember the date it was just before the above three) - hadnet pack activated this time as well still had a deduction from main balance

                            Hi i have been using AIRTEL INTERNET PACK 198 PLAN, in HCL corporate plan pack. Internet speed seem to be very slow, i have called customer care to clarify the slow speed issue, They have provided information that 2GB has been already used in my airtel account (my Airtel number: [protected]). But naturally Airtel 2G speed every time i connect is around 25 KB alone form day 1 of billing period, later after 10th day it is around 7KB only am getting. Every time if i call airtel customer care "they were telling that your usage is crossed 2GB already so it will be slow speed" Can i know at max 25KB is used, how much hours need to be used to reach 2GB 25 KBPS speed will take 11.3MB per hour: 25KBPS * 3600 = 11, 3 MB per hours (ie 1 hour) Then to reach 2GB 2000MB = 181 hours of 25 Kbps speed need to provided. Calculate link: http://web.forret.com/tools/filesize.asp?speed=25&unit=Kbps&dur=... 40 KBPS speed will take 18 MB per hour: 40KBPS * 3600 = 18 MB per hours (ie 1 hour) Then to reach 2GB 2000MB = 111 hours of 40 Kbps speed need to provided. 111 hours to reach 2GB @ 40kbps speed I have never used this much hours to reach 2GB. Please check my account and update for my Airtel number[protected] & [protected] BUT Airtel is not providing 25 kbps or 40 kbps speed in 2G plan, they were telling only that 2 GB usage is over in ever month for me and other customers. Since i never used more than 40 hours per month to cover 2GB usage in 2G plan. If i used 40 kbps for 40 hours then my usage will be around 900 MB only. No chance to use 2GB every month or /per month, this 2G plan is pure cheating plan for customers, My plan type 2G plan @ price of 198 Internet usage upto 2GB usage and unlimited I have called various number in airtel customer care service to clarify this there is no proper resolution from airtel. 121 [protected] in IVR selected options 12311 No response after some time I have been waiting for 5 minutes My number used in Airtel 2G plan [protected] & [protected] Please don’t do this in near future this heart us more and more..                               my land line no. is[protected]. I made the payment in the month of OCT 2013, NOV 2013, and DEC 2013. But Airtel misplaced my Nov payment and since then contionously disconnecting my services. when I make complain, they resume the services but again disconnect it. I have submitted my bank statement, gave the customer care the cheque no. and they say sorry but again disconnect it. Then they told me the landline payment has by mistake gone into mobile department. which is not at all our fault, and they will get it done internally and I wont be facing any problem and resolved the connection but again after 2 days disconnect the services. This is harrassment to the customer. Now I m fed up after dealing with airtel. AS [protected]@gmail.com

                                  Airtel have one offer called "Happy Hours Pack" 30 mins for RS 5. I have activated that plan. I got message from Airtel that the pack is activated. But when I Call I am charged 90 paise per call. When I called customer service they said that you have taken "LOAN" that's why the balance is deducted. This happened Two time with me second time also they have deducted bala nce I got the message that plan has activated but still they are saying that you have taken loan.

                                    My Airtel Number is :[protected] User Category: Platinum Years with Airtel: Atleast 6 years. Issue: International Billing Issue Issues Since: December 5th 2013 Credit Limit before I left for US: 13000 INR Background: I was to travel to USA for three weeks from November 22nd till December 13th 2013 and hence I contacted airtel to activate basic international package of 3500 INR. I started my travel and within a couple of days, I was told that package does not contain data option and hence for cost saving you can activate a 999 INR basic data plan. I activated that. After few days o[censored]sage, Airtel notified me through a SMS that my usage has reached 8000 INR and asked me if I wish to continue. I said replied YES. I got an SMS again after a couple of days that my Usage is touching 10000 INR and do I wish to continue and I said yes. I got an SMS again after a couple of days that my Usage is touching 13000 INR and do I wish to continue and I said yes. Post this, I stopped getting any notification or confirmation. After 3-4 days, I asked my wife to check with airtel only to know that a bill of 36, 000 INR. I was shocked. The amount was 3 times my credit limit and I was told that data usage was high. I immediately asked airtel to block data package. And this does not end here, the amount was only tll 4th December and hence another huge bill was awaiting me going by what Airtel did with my this bill. No one proactively informed us about high usage of data given the fact that I had only a basic package of 999 INR was activated. There was no message or call to ask me for confirmation on usage. The SMS that I received til 13000 was to inform me about my unbilled usage and I replied yes till 13000 knowing that once bill is generated discounts will be applied. My wife opened a ticket with airtel in first week of december, our questions to airtel were the following: 1) How come the usage reached 3 times and Airtel did not barred my services? 2) Why in the world was I not informed that my data usage is going higher and that my basic package limit has been hit? 3) Why did Airtel made a decision to continue with my services when I did not respond to their confirmation message when my usage went beyond 13000 INR? 4) I actually never received messages beyond 13000 INR and hence could not reply. Why was a no response from me was interpreted as a YES response. 5) Why was there no attempt by Airtel to call me and inform me that my usage is too high and we need your confirmation? 6) When the usage reached 3 times for the bill period of 4th Novemeber to 4 December 2013, why did Airtel continued my services without seeking my approval? I was told on 2nd February 2014 that though system sees that a lot of calls have been made on issue to Aritel but no ticket has been generated. The CSR that time told that all the previous CSRs have for some reason not created a ticket for your issue. This guy also told me that in December he sees that system increased my credit to 50000 INR which according to him has caused all problems. I have been using airtel for years and whenever credit limit has increased, it has taken 3-6 months to gain additional credit based on last few months usage. How in this case the system updated limit by approx 5 times when never in the past my usage has been this much. I smell foul play here and I think airtel CSR must have increased my limit and now they say its regular system action. Its been more than 60 days and I get daily reminder calls for bill but no one has called me to discuss my issue. Every call they tell someone will call for first 45 days and now they tell me to send email, call this guy call that guy. Tickets have been closed saying everything is right without even talking to me. Now my outgoing has been debarred. I have told them multiple times that you cannot force me to pay and cannot threaten me. Airtel is trying all it can to ignore my issue and force me to pay. They are harassing me by calling every day and when I tell them that you first fix my issue, the person who call every day fo not even know that I have an issue. I am not saying that I will pay a meagre amount. I know my usage could be 15 to 20 thousand but not what Airtel says. They forced me into this position by not acting responsibly and now they are shedding their accountability. I need help. Airtel has all records of my calls and history. Please let me know if you need additional information. Thanks in advance.

                                      I had visited airtel office at kadvantra (Kochi) kerala in aug 2013 for disconnection view change of location. On contacting customere care number from airtel office in kadvantra it ws told that technical perple will inspect and will call u.
                                      Till 04 days there was no call, i again visted the office and again was told to contact customere care (5555) and was told it was not feasible. I told thenm to disconnect as i have to shift to new location. No response for few days agian i visted and was told to contact customere care.
                                      However i cleared my bill (Airtel account id [protected]) till 03 nov 12 vide e receipt no [protected]. I told them to close my account as this will be my last bill payment, however the response at airtel kadvantra office was very lackasiadl and was told agin to contact customerecare. I couldn't understand the response was so poor .
                                      It is therefore requested that i will not pay any bill after last payment and request your airtell office not to disturb me again and again by remeindingg for non payment of bill as that is not my mistake.
