Regarding payment receipt: I paid Rs 799/- by cheque and not collected any receipt. Since this money has been deposited and encashed by Airtel, you can locate the details at your end.

Customers touch points:
I am a very old subscriber of Airtel and by and large had a smooth journey for about 15 years of relationship. This mail is to share with you a recent remarkable incident, which may interest you and also to take corrective action for avoiding such irritating customer experience.
I have another number with Idea([protected]). Due to some issues I had put in a request on Airtel website for portability from Idea to Airtel. I also initiated action of getting MNP details like UPC No. and date etc.
Ever since I posted my portability request on Airtel website, I started getting calls saying that the call is from Airtel and this is related to number portability and when can an executive visit me to collect details and payment. In a day I would get 5-7 calls and everybody would say that he or she is calling from Airtel. In fact when I used to respond saying that somebody has already spoken from Airtel, I was told by the callers that this call is actually from right Airtel and other callers are from DSA. Some of the callers got annoyed when I refused to talk in details and in fact used abusive language.
Nevertheless somebody visited, collected all the details, filled up the form No. DLPB 428477, collected an advance payment of Rs 799/- and gave me an envelope containing postpaid Sim No.[protected]. I was told that portability will happen in next few days and then I should change the Sim and get it activated.
A cheque of Rs 799/- paid by HDFC Cheque No. 000002 dated 14.10.2013 was encashed by Airtel on 23.10.2013. Surprisingly, till date no further action has been taken and the Idea No. ([protected]) continues to work and there is no communication from Airtel about the portability on the alternate number given.
I would request you to look at the following:
• Why the payment of Rs 799/- was encashed?
• The DSA who collected all the details have left the customer without solution.
• Since the first experience of number portability has not been very pleasant, therefore, I do not need it.
• I would request for refund of Rs 799/- immediately.
