Hi Ma'am/Sir, 7 months back I have taken a postpaid airtel connection. I have used it till the month of October, 2013. However I have cleared the bill before applying for cancellation. They have registered my complaint on Nov 9 th, 2013. I got the bill on Nov 6th for october month. After paying the bill I have registered for cancellation. Meanwhile I stopped using the SIM from November 5th as the new bill cycle starts from that day. The request number registered was 53680913. On registering the request they called me and requested me to change it to prepaid. However i said I dont have any use with the number, as I have taken that number for internet purpose and now i have wi fi internet in my room. So I have asked them to cancel immediately. But they didn't do that, they kept the ticket on hold stating that customer wants a pre paid connection. Finally I went to the airtel stores and returned back their sim and the status was set to suspended state. But now they are calling and are forcing me to pay the bill, else a legal notice will be sent to me. I have received a call from the number[protected], a lady has spoken to me, and she was very rude. She don't have a minimum respect towards the customers. I request you to take this as a serious issue.     My Customer ID: [protected], Registered mob no: [protected] Complaint Ref Nos: 35505170, 35535658, 35550987, 35602249, 35618272, 35641062, 35648898, 35660222, 35722587, 35732413 Dear Sir, I complained for audio problem in set-top box on[protected].45. It has been more than two weeks till now[protected] and my problem is still not solved. It is very simple that, set-top box to be replaced from airtel end and so far no response from service engineer. I need to mention that the behaviour of service engineer is very bad as he is only service engineer available at my place. You can look at above complaint ref nos. for further validation where the mistake is from. Very poor service from airtel and no action taken against on the service engineer for not doing his work. He also taken my set-top box remote and not returned back. All above complaint ref nos were closed by service engineer stating no body at my home, problem with my TV, dish etc. But actual case is only problem with set-top box. Set-top box was working fine (only audio not coming) before service engineer taking it from my home and when he return back on[protected], it is even not switching on. Really fed up with the service and thats why i am here to complaint against airtel dth. Need some solution being a valuable customer of airtel. please do the needful. Regards Chezhiyan

    Dear Sir,

    Still my issue is open. Nobody attend the complaint so far. It was told by the Area Manager that my problem will be solved on 24th Jan 2014 (7 - 8 PM) during my conference call coversation along with Mr.Amit. But no response from anyone. This is indeed a real problem from airtel for not taking any action on thier people (Service Engineer & Area Manager).

    Need some justice Please.

        I took Airtel Dogle bearing mobile number [protected] in 2012. Given the situation at my work place, I don't need a broad band anymore. So I wanted to convert my existing Airtel SIM from Post paid to pre-paid so I would be able to use it on demand. I have visited your Airtel service centre in Madhapur Hyderabad for converting my Post paid connection to Pre-paid numerous times in the months of August and September 2013. But I have always got only one answer that your centralized server is down for converting Post paid to pre-paid, so I have to visit the store later for my request to complete. I have requested them to take the required documentation and convert it once the server is up, for which they said that is not possible and I had to visit the store at later point of time. Having tried many times, I was vexed up and finally called the customer care to disconnect my services. Surprisingly I have got the same answer that Server is down so they can't take my request and I have to call them at later point of time. How come a very good branded service provider like Airtel can keep a servers down for months ? Regret to say but It takes a single day to get connected but there any time limit for change in service or disconnection ? I don't have a Airtel SIM, and the Dongle number is without voice/SMS. so I have to request others who have Airtel service to call the customer care. I tiered of all these and stopped using the datacard. Now they are sending me bill every months. Later I have got a call from customer care to pay the unpaid amount, I told them whole story. They said they will get back to me. After few days I have a got a call from customer care saying if I cleared the un-paid amount my number will be converted to Pre-paid. I said I don't need Pre-paid connection now and asked him if your Airtel servers are down why are you asking me to pay for that. More over I have stopped using it. He said he will call me back after some time and never called me. I am getting mails like if I dont clear the amount a legal action will be taken. How come you come expect a customer to pay if you keep your server down for months and charge them? You can check my data usage I have stopped using it months back but you are still charging me.

          I would like to draw attention towards the pathetic and callous service of Airtel in Bangalore. I purchased 4G Dongle from Airtel through a retailer - The Mobile Shop in New Thippasandra Road, Bangalore on 14th Jan 2014. The retailer ID +91-[protected]. While purchasing the connection I promised the activation within two days. Today, more than 1 week has passed but it has not been activated. On 15th Jan, the office verification was done. On 16th Jan, some Rajesh whose mobile number is +91-[protected] called me and asked me for a time to visit my house in the evening. But, he did not come up. After that, daily he calls me in the morning and promise to come in the evening but never comes. I've been chasing Airtel 121, [protected], sending emails and talking to retailer. But, everyone is passing the buck to other one shamelessly without even understanding the issue. They register my complaint and issue a complaint # but no one works on it. The complained numbers provided to me are Qrc118011405012925707514,[protected] and 54714315. I've even written to nodal officer Bangalore and Platinum care. But, they are not responding. I've recently shifted from Delhi but never faced such issues. I'm planning to file a Police Complaint against the retailer as there is no solution left.

Some of the callers got annoyed when I refused to talk in details and in fact used abusive language. Nevertheless somebody visited, collected all the details, filled up the form No. DLPB 428477, collected an advance payment of Rs 799/- and gave me an envelope containing postpaid Sim No.[protected]. I was told that portability will happen in next few days and then I should change the Sim and get it activated. A cheque of Rs 799/- paid by HDFC Cheque No. 000002 dated 14.10.2013 was encashed by Airtel on 23.10.2013. Surprisingly, till date no further action has been taken and the Idea No. ([protected]) continues to work and there is no communication from Airtel about the portability on the alternate number given. I would request you to look at the following: • Why the payment of Rs 799/- was encashed? • The DSA who collected all the details have left the customer without solution. • Since the first experience of number portability has not been very pleasant, therefore, I do not need it. • I would request for refund of Rs 799/- immediately.               Hi Team This is regarding a fraud that has done by Airtel sales team. I am writing this on the behalf of my sister in law Mrs. Mansi Sharma. She applied for a broadband connection, on 13/1/2014. She was given a brochure and told about Turbo plan 4 MBPS with downloading limit of 30 GB unlimited costing INR 1499 and Wi-Fi equipment will be given free of cost. The sales person asked me to give a cheque of Rs 500 as a security deposit. She filled the, form which I am attaching in the email. The connection was installed and the plan was 1399 speed 2mbps with 30 GB downloading limit unlimited. In spite of that She was asked to make the payment for the Wi-Fi as well. This is a clear case of fraudulent behavior shown by the Airtel sales team. I made numerous phone calls to incompetent customer service team past 6 days, nothing has been done. I want you to help me in this regard and provide me a solution to this problem. How can a customer know whether the representative is from Airtel or he is faking it, he may rob you by faking it? Why customer how pays for the services has to be at a receiving end all the time.This is a very serious matter, I expect you to take a serious action against people who have done this or I know my rights a citizen of India I will go to consumer court.                 I was Airtel customer for over 10 years. As they do not have 3G service in Kolkata, I opted for number portability to Vodafone. The number was ported on 16 Dec and I started using the Vodafone service from 17 Dec. Airtel has sent me a bill for the period 11 Dec up to 10 Jan 2014 when the sevice stopped on 16 Dec. Also they inflated the mobile browsing charges and demanded over Rs. 500. The service I had was 2 Gb down load with unlimited browsing. Once the limit is reached, they were to put me on low speed and there was to be no charge. When I veriefied the bill I found their having charged Rs.250 for 1 min 50 sec of browsing on 16 Jan and there were several such inflated charges. They keep sending SMS needlessly.

                Airtel Kolkata — wrong deduction of balance

                I am using a prepaid service of Airtel in kolkata for past 3 years. Now from last 1 months there are several types of discrepancies are happening in there services. I have got recharged with sms pack of Rs.80 in which daily 500 sms were free but i have been charged for every sms @ Rs.1 after the recharge. When i made a complaint for this they assured for refund but later on they denied and didn't gave me any refund. They also started some services for which i haven't requested and deducted my balance for those services. I have also recharged with Rs.34 for Local Airtel to Airtel @ 30 paise but it also didn't work and they still charging high rates for every call.
                Please do the needful at an earliest because i am not able to even use my cell phone.

                Airtel Kolkata — Forcing customers to continue with a VAS even if he wants to discontinue the same (Mobile # 9038379739)

                Hi,

                I had activated an SMS pack of Rs 51 using the service *777# from my handset. The service was auto renewal category and the auto renewal date was 5-July-11. For deactivation, a customer needs to use the same number (*777#). But since 2-July-11, i had been trying to deactivate the service so that it does not get auto renewed but am getting an error message as "Result Unknown". On 4-July-11, i called up the customer care and they said me that the service would get deactivated within 4 hours and it would not get renewed (CSR Executive name- Promita Saha). But to my surprise, theservice again got renewed today. When i called up 198, they disconnected the call . I plan to submit a hardcopy of this complaint at any Consumer Forum Office if this matter doesnt get sorted out at the earliest. Its high time that the Network providers pay some respect to their Prepaid customer base.

                Airtel Kolkata — Beware of Airtel- asking for documents after 2.5 months of activation

                Hi,

                I MPNed from Vodafone to Airtel 2.5 months back and my connection has been active since then. But yesterday (9-aug-2011), i received a message stating my services will be deactivated if i do not submit the prepaid enrollment form. I contacted 121 and was told that my dealer may have not submitted the docs and thats the reason airtel is asking for the same. When i contacted my dealer, he informed me that the maximum time Airtel would allow a connection to be activated without docs is 48 hours (78 hours if theres a sunday in between). If the documents have not been submitted, how come the line has been active since last 2.5 months ?
                Now coming to Airtel, i would need a satisfactory answer regarding this. Where are my documents? Have they been misplaced ? If yes, why ?

                Some one from Airtel contacted on 22 Jan informing that

                1. The charges of Rs.250 for less than 2 seconds is justified as multiple sites were visited. This is not something I noticed in the past with 2 Airtel connections for the past several years. I have not seen this in the Reliance dongle that I using for the past 8 years. Not such billing is seen in Voddafone (2 conenctions) that I use.

                2. Even if we accept the above, my plan was 2 Gb and ocne 2 Gb reaches the browsing was to move to sloe speeed. I am reproducing below the scheme from the bill

                "(after 2gb, 100% free_40kbps)@199".

                At the time of availing the service it was repeatedly confirmed to me that at no point in time the charges would exceed Rs.199 and that if I reached the limit the browsing would be throttled to low speed.

                I explained all this to the person.

                PLEASE NOTE THAT TILL THE RECTIFIED BILL IS RECEIVED I WOULD NOT MAKE THE
                PAYMENT AT YOUR RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY.

                IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO RESOLVE THE MATTER PLEASE REFER TO THE AGENCY MEANT FOR RESOLVING SUCH DISPUTES/COMPLAINTS I WOULD ABIDE BY THE RULING.

                  Hi, I have shifted to a new apartment in the Pimple Saudagar Area of Pune, near State Bank, Govind Garden Chowk. Since then, I have been facing issues with the network connectivity like call drop outs, not able to connect using gprs / 3g. I tried calling 121 customer care and reached to the Technical help option, however, after selecting the confirmation to proceed with the charges of talking to customer care executive, the call drops out. I tried this for 3-4 times, however, not able to successfully talk to the customer care executive and hence not able to file complaint.                         I had got done 3G recharge in my phone . The phone number is +91-[protected]. I have a prepaid connection. I have been using airtel connections since years but this time I bought prepaid connection in Mumbai . I called the CUSTOMER CARE to know if 3G will work in POWAI area (hiranandani) and I asked him to be on line till I get the recharge done . I also got an offer from airtel saying that 3G for a month and also for another month with 2GB +2GB extra . At that time the customer care agent said that 3G will work but when I started using the data pack, the pages were not loading and also it showed that the balance is of 2G, I download settings in my phone(samsung S4). Again it showed 2G . I again called the customer care and then the other person informed me 3G does not work in Maharashtra circle so I asked him to return my money back as I havent used it a bit and its of no use for me . He said that it will not happen and he started talking arrogantly . I told him to transfer my call to senior executive and he said that that he will not do and he started shouting on phone . I must say airtel customer care in prepaid is the worst . They have no sense and they are so rude . I told him that I will complain to the consumer forum and he directly said go ..I don't care . Go and complain and he cut the phone. I tried getting through the customer care number many a times and no one picks up . And if they do, nobody transfer my call to senior executives and they r always ready to tell the number portability process. I am highly disappointed with the service and I have 25 series of connections of Airtel(postpaid) in my office. I will surely change them to other network .

                          I tried to get a postpaid service from Airtel at Mysore using a corporate plan at Mysore Karnataka For this I visited The Airtel dealer at Vijayanagar Second Stage outlet at Vijaynagara 2nd Stage, Lokanayakanagara, Mahadeshwara Badavane Layout, Mysore, Karnataka, India On 9th January 2014. I had given them my Rental Agreement as address proof, Aadhar card copy as my ID proof, Pan Card as additional ID proof and also my corporate ID card copy I have had horrible experience with them in trying to get my connection activated because of the following reason The clerk at the dealer must have copied my address but he ended up copying owner's address on the form This lead to the failure of the first address verification activity I did not realize what happened and I kept on following up with the dealer and he kept saying it will get activated Finally I had him look up the exact status and then I realized that my address was entered wrong by the dealer himself, he had corrected it in his system Following day the verification team visited my home and took signature from my folks, despite that the connection was not activated. On 18th January, I visited the dealer again and then realized that the Verification and Dealer teams are still going back and forth with my connection. The dealer tried to escalate to local Sales team and they had also apparently approved connection. Even then the activation did not happen. The dealer tried to escalate again and made me talk to some Manager/Assistant Manager. He was least bothered, unapologetic and thick skinned. He asked me time until 20th January to try to get the connection activated, manager never apologized. I left the dealer shop and I get a call from the dealer again asking me to provide Residential Proof. This really tipped me over as I was getting really irate over the way things are turning out for me. All this while I am having to pay roaming bills on my other number (the reason why I am getting this connection in first place). I left the Sim card with the dealer and asked him to stop pursuing it. The proposed number was [protected] I want to share with every one how bad the experience was with Airtel at Mysore, Karnataka. These people don't even apologize. Imagine me having to drive 5kms every day to the dealer to try to get update/status of the activation. Now one more fear I have is that somebody else will start using that connection on my name..so somehow I will need a written proof from Airtel that I have rejected their service..

                            I got an airtel wi-fi connection three days before and without using it much, they are stating that our 10 gb limit has already expired. On being unconvinced with it and asking for detailed statement of the data usage, the airtel customer service center at Mansarovar Complex, Bhopal as well as the executives of Complaint Center are unwilling to provide the Info. They are just saying that the limit has been used, it might have been hacked (though it is password protected) etc. and they are showing reluctance in providing detailed statement.                               before taking connection in airtel i confirmed first to provide me a RM for the same .

                              for which i am still waiting. No RM is being alloted to my CUG group Till now.

Always shows "Sorry we are unable to process your request due to technical problem, Please try again later." for the past 1 year. If we try to call the callcenter nobody picks up the call. They play irritating song all the time. Airtel purposely made their website this way because they don't want you managing your account by yourself. Because you may try to save money. They want to steal from you as much as possible. The online account and call center features are provided just to attract new customers. People buy Airtel DTH thinking that they can manage their TV channel through the online facility. Once you are in Airtel will show its real face to you. An Airtel DTH sufferer

                                  I'm a airtel customer ever since i started using a mobile phone. I activated an unlimited GPRS plan (2G) via customer care on 13-Nov-2013 and had it deactivated on 09-Dec-2013 before renewal ot its one month cycle but I was charged about Rs.143 (+tax) in the next bill nder Mobile Internet charges. They have already charged 125 in the Dec 2013 Billing cycle. Again they charged in Jan 2014 bill also. My bill cycle ends in 05 of every month.On further inquiry with the customer care people, I was notified that, even for a one day usage of intenet (from 05 to 09 of Jan 2014), Airtel will charge Rs.125( cost of a monthly 2g pack) plus for the 5 days usage in Jan, they again changed Rs.18 (+tax). They are now saying that 2G internet doesn't charged on prodata basis which i was not informed durin the activation and deactiviation of the internet plans. On complaining I got an explaination saying that this is the process and all the charges are legible as I was not informed about their so called policy when I was provided the service neither later while deactivation. I don't get it how do they expect the customer to know about all the policies without informing them. I would appreciate if my problem is resolved as soon as possible.

I have tracker software which tracked down the caller at Bhubaneswar near Grand Central Hotel. He may be a resident of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Angul, Berhempur town in Odisha state. I want to teach this person a good lesson for making such vulgar and unsolicited calls.

                                      My name is kapil verma from delhi. I am using airtel no. [protected] from last 3 years.Today i got to know that airtel deducting 1.5 INR everyday from 2012 from my account for some unknown services call City Search.
                                      When i called costumer care then they said i only activated this service in 2012. And i don't even know about this service.Then close supervisor ( Kamal Kumar ) told me everything. My main concern is this all Tele communication services company doing fraud with their consumer with such automatic service plan. First they automatic activate caller tune and send a message that caller tune is free for 25 days on your no. and if you want to deactivate dis caller tune you have to call on some XYZ no. and after some time client forget that he or she has to deactivate is caller tune manually. and that service get start paid automatically.This is a big fraud. I am paying 540 INR every year for one service without my permission . i don't even now when i got that service on my mobile.                                       if 20 percent coustmer like me paying 540 INR paying every year then. these company getting profit approx. 1080 cr. every year from automatic activation services.

                                      I just want TRI take action againt such automatic useless or hidden services. And i am going to file againt AIRTEL OR BHARTI MITTAL in court.
