Airtel - SPARE ME!!

I got my number ported (MNP) from Idea to Airtel. This is a Delhi/NCR number [protected]. By the time the porting process was complete (which takes around one week or so), I had traveled to Bangalore. As soon as porting was complete, I was no longer getting Idea network on my Idea sim. I replaced it with Airtel SIM but the airtel connection is not yet activated. I am getting the network signal, but I am unable to make or receive any calls or send sms. I guess this is because I do not have any pre-paid balance.

However I am able to receive SMS.

Now the problem is that there is no way the Airtel connection can be activated!!!! This is what Airtel wants me to believe!!

Worst is that I am not allowed to call customer care from this Airtel number. I had to buy another pre-paid sim, and from there I have to make STD call to some Delhi Airtel customer care number. I have spent many hours and money in making these calls, and here are the most idiotic replies that i have had to bear from sick Airtel Customer Care service -

1) Sir please contact Idea Customer Care. your number is still not ported to Airtel. (Then i have to explain to them that since I am receiving sms on my number on Airtel SIM, hence the number is definitely with Airtel. So is it possible that the same number is with Idea as well as Airtel?? Of course Airtel Customer Care does not have an answer to this question)

2) Sir you need to activate your number. please call 123 and select a language. Your number will get activated. (I have to then explain to them that here in Bangalore when I dial 123, I get the message that this is not a valid number. So i cannot call 123. I request for an alternate number but airtel cust care does not have an answer)

3) Sir you need to recharge for Rs 43 and then you will be able to call 123 and then you can select language and activate your number. (I have already tried recharge rs 43 from Bangalore, and even from Delhi but the recharge is never successful. Seems like Airtel won't allow recharge before the number is activated by calling 123. I also tried online recharge with various amounts from internet but that also fails.)

4) Sir I see that your incoming is blocked. I am unblocking it now and it will work in 1 hr. (this guy is crazy. I am telling him all problems I am having with this number, there is no service at all, i can't even check my balance using *123#. but this Airtel Cust Care guys keeps repeating that incoming is blocked and he will enable it. Of course, nothing has changed so far. i don't have any service as yet)

5) Sir, please come to Delhi, and make a call to 123 to select language, and then you can enjoy roaming in Bangalore. (wow!! amazing.. best answer.. I should spend thousands of rupees and days of travel to just make one call to some stupid number for some stupid reason.. and airtel customer care wants me to dance with joy with this resolution! simply awesome!

On making may be around 100 calls, of which many get dropped before the conversation is complete, and then I have to call again and repeat whole story again. Airtel does not have a provision and airtel customer care does not care to call me to know whether my problem is resolved and to try and resolve it. In may be 50 calls when I have actually been able to talk to Airtel Customer Care executive, I have received versions of one or more of the above 5 ridiculous so-called resolutions.

I don't understand what kind of "Mobile Solution Provider' airtel is when it can't provide customer care and can't even provide any means to enable the basic mobile service just because I have traveled from one city to another. Airtel has offices in Bangalore too, but they don't entertain traveling customers!

Further, they want everything to be done on phone! Don't you understand that my phone is not working! because Airtel has hijacked my number!!!
If Airtel has any sense of responsibility and shame left, airtel customer care would call me on my alternate number, or write to me on my email address! Why the hell do you ask for these information in Customer Agreement Form when you don't want to use them!

M tired. Spare me Airtel.

please please spare me... this is total harassment.. i got to get compensation for all this, but right now all i ask for is spare me airtel!
I had to travel to Delhi to get this resolved! I am really disappointed from the customer service, particularly for the false and misleading statements, followed by messages "Sir we tried to contact you but u r not reachable" which on many occasions were clearly a LIE.

    Airtel Nodal,

    Its utter disgusting !!!! I have already received call from AIRTEL DTH on my number.
    I had added 500/- to my account on 16th SEP and as per my Value pack it supposed to last at least 16th NOV.
    However from this morning (28th OCT) my account is disabled due to low balance.
    Could you please explain the legitimate reason of disabling my account for low balance.
    I had added a channel top of which is not yet resolved .. Am not able to watch that channel since AIRTEL engineer yet to make alignment .
    Provide me the legitimate reason at the earliest for low balance even though i had opted value pack +UTV pack+English top up whihc
    usualy cost 250 to 280 per month.
    What about the 9th OCT incedent call center guy ?
    Is any strict action has been taken care from AIRTEL side towards his misconduct o[censored]pgrading my pack to Ultra PACK or
    simply my a/c has been charged for it ?

    Provide me LEGITIMATE reason ....


    I didn't get any response from AIRTEL so far. Keeping mum in this regards is not acceptable anyway.
    Failing to justify about the balance with in two working days will compelled me to take AIRTEL DTH team to consumer court.
    Kindly revert back though mail only about the Balance detail and
    legitimate reason why its being deactivated on 28th OCT even though i suppose to have enough balance in my account.

      Dear Concern,
      I am on a plan of Rs.999/-only with cap-up charge of Rs.300/-only,in which I get Rs.2000/-only worth Talk Time Free, and maximum including taxes I should receive a bill of Rs.1430/-only every month.But from August,2011 I have received bills of Rs.2189/-,Rs.1960/- and now a bill of Rs.3003/-.I have already paid Rs.2190/-only on 29th September,2011.So as per my Air Tel billing plan to clear all out-standings I should pay Rs.2100/-only( Rs.1430 [X] 3 months=Rs.4290/- [-] Rs.2190/-which I have paid on 29/09/11=Balance to pay Rs.2100/-only).Since 13/09/11 I am calling every alternate day to 198 to clarify this issue and I have received various Request No's. but till date the issue has not been SOLVED.The Request No's. are as follows[protected]/9/11) ;[protected]/10/11) ;[protected]/10/11) it's a wrong Request No.as given by Mr.Tarun Agarwal,Manager of Escalation Team ;[protected]/10/11) ;[protected]/11/10) and the same Request No's. have been reopened a number of times but all in VAIN.So Please do the needful as soon as possible and SORT OUT this issue OR ELSE I SHALL BE FORCED TO TAKE THIS ISSUE TO THE HONORABLE CONSUMER COURT FOR A CLEAN & CLEAR FAIR-DEAL .

      Airtel — i am not getting talk value as i should get

      Respected sir,
      i am using airtel connection which i get with 1199rs airtels combo plan . with that plan i should get life time validity and facilities of life time but i am not getting all these and customer care exicutives of airtel are now saying your number is not life time .according to life time i should get 44rs on each topup of 50rs but due to this i m getting only 36 each time.please solve my problem they are messing my mind and now they(customer care) do not recives my phone calls ...i lives in greater noida region in gautam budh nagar district o[censored]p
      I took a post paid connection [protected] before three monts, the plan was as 222 plan in which i am supposed to get 222 mins free talk time. in mean time i requested for an added value service of std package, and i confirmed thrice from customer care service that weather by using this added value service will there be any problem in getting free 222 mins talk time, i have been confirmed as there is no connection between added value service and bill plan, but when i receive my 1st bill I could see that i was not given discount on free talk time, but as it was my first bill I could not clearly make out what was the problem, the same was continued in the 2nd month bill, so when i asked custumer care they said that i am not authorised for free talk time because iam availing added value service, after a lot of argument instead of a discount of arround 550 rs i have been given a discount of 220 rs only. i dont think so i am on fault at any side.Airtel being such a big concern giving various clarifications from customer care service is not at all accepted, and even i have forwareded 2 compliants regarding network problem, which has not been sorted out till date. Even i could see that I am not given my free talktime in my present month bill even after deactivating added value service. i hope i ll get a good reply very soon.

      Airtel mobile connection — Billing Problem.....

      I have one Airtel Post paid mobile connection, I pay the bill for the same regularly. For the month of November, 2008 I have paid the bill within due date by cheque as earlier practice and the cheque was cleared from the bank within due date.

      But the service provider is telling that my cheque was returned due to insufficient fund, which not possible according to my bank statement. I have sent them my bank statement via fax and shown the original at their relationship center several times.

      They are barring my outgoing calls frequently, and also sending SMS, making calls for the payment which is already made. It is already more than two weeks but no satisfactory steps are taken by the service provider. I am very much disturbed by this.

      Airtel Mobile Service — What a shameful service

      I am an Airtel user from June 2007 and my Mobile no is [protected] with corporate policy of Siemens.

      Also i am using Brodaband and Landline,

      Please look on my cocerns carefully ...

      I am a Manager from Siemens on IT and all these answers are not acceptable on technical front becuase i had 15 years of Total IT support.


      I have no concerns about Broadband much but it also starts as follows by Mobile department ...

      I found service was good in Mobile till November 2007 then the following issues started

      1)Network issue - All the time answer from CC that we are working ..completed 14 months now

      I think i made around 30 complaints and then i though there is no meaning to waste my energy and time

      Moreover i am BP patient and i don't want to lost my health as my dependents are with me ( wife / Dughter and mother )

      2) Now billing statement - Last 10 days checked with CC and got the message that there is an upgradation of systems and application

      Just imagine such a huge subscriber list you have and giving an explanation like this for 10 days is really horrible.

      3) CC - Pathetic service even from supervisor. Today i spoke to CC - Umesh and then CC Supervisor Mohan

      What a shameful answer he provides ...one of his message was there is no link between CC and tech support.


      Such a huge customer list how you can satisfy them on tehnical front. Link is not there between CC and tech support ..Shameful answer.

      I am humbly requesting you to look on the issue carefully ateast give a satisfied answer to customers.

      In this country we have human rights laws and if some thing worse happens these info will route to them.

      Bharti Airtel — Bill dated 25 Feb 2009 not Received

      Hi,

      I am an Airtel postpaid customer. ([protected])

      I called at 121 on 17th Feb 2009 nearly at 1:00 PM and requested for changing my billing address. Executive took my complaint and informed me that a verification officer will visit my place with in 72 Hrs for verification. No such officer visited.

      Again I called at 121 on 24th Feb 2009 nearly at 1:00 PM and informed the executive that no verification officer had visited my place till date and requested her to ensure that my Airtel bill should be sent at my new address only. She informed me that my previous request (dated 17th Feb 2009) was not forwarded by the executive earlier, appologised and said that she was taking up my request now. She also informed me that a verification officer will be visiting my place with in 72 Hrs.

      On 24th Feb 2009 itself I logged a complaint by calling 198 at 1:00 PM itself and the officer their took my complaint, kept me on hold and after confiming from Billing section informed me that my Airtel Bill will be generated for new address only.

      On 26th Feb I received a message also stating that vrification officer will be visiting in next 48 Hrs.

      On 3rd March 2009, I received a message that I will receive my Airtel Bill in next seven days.

      Again on 3rd night I called at 198 to enquire the status of my compaint dated 24th Feb 2009 and the executive there re-confirmed me that my Airtel Bill was dispatched at at my new address.

      Further, verification officer actually visited on Sunday 8th March 2009 whom I handovered Rent Agreement. He said that may be my Airtel Bill was kept on hold and it may be released after he submots his report.

      On 12th Feb 2009 I again received a message that "Your bill has been delivered on 28-Feb. POD no. 291673 and received through signature only. If not received you may call the c ourier agency at[protected]." When at 12:30 yesterday I called that agency then they said that my Airtel Bill was sent at my old address but the syatem is not showing any delivery status. That person told me that he will update me the status in 1-2 Hrs time. But I received no response.

      Till date I have not received my Airtel Bill generated on 25th Feb 2009 despite all this follow up. I request you to kindly take up this complaint and send me the Airtel Bill (original) dated 25th Feb 2009 and that too at my new addresss since I informed you well in advance that is on 17th Feb 2009 regarding address change.

      I had paid the bill on 12th March 2009.

      I am a regular customer of Airtel postpaid No-[protected]. I had given a request about 799 yearly plan in the month of Feb, but airtel had transfered it to 299 montly rental plan in Mar and after that discontinued it from 05 Apr 09 with 199 montly rental plan.
      I had paid my all debts and i had also paid 799 yearly rental, and now i have to pay 299 monthly rental.
      I am a user of airtel post paid, I have complaint regarding bill .

      Actually I had received a bill of Rs. 4, 349.69. It includes my previous bill charges of Rs 1500 which I had already paid on 9/5/2009. I am also not satisfied with DSL charges. Calling on customer care I got a response that if I will change my Broadband plan (currently 555) to unlimited then I will get a concession of Rs 1600 on my bill. When I said them to send me the URL details they disagree.

      One more complain is that I live in residential area (Pitampura) and whenever I call customer care to change my broadband plan, I got the reply that it’s a commercial area. I want you to take an action against these complaints.

      air tel mobile — Billing problem

      From last 4 months in my mobile bill mobile office charges is comming, while i am not using this service than also the charges is comming, cusomer care of airtel has been given me 2 months mobile offices charges vaver to me but for next 2 months they are not givening me vaver about 3000 INR.       I had changed my Tariff Plan in DAP Mum – MB in which I have facilities of free 800 sms & 800 local minutes per month.
      I shocked to see my last bill in which I had been charged for Rs.262.50 for SMS which has been send on diwali. Whether I have been sent SMS 525 only instead of 800 SMS. As per your plan it is not just & proper to charged me for above said SMS. When I queried in Airtel Gallery, they told me that it is declared as a black day and therefore all the send sms which I had been charged. But it has been specified in my bill that sms are been charged due to black day. Neither there was previous intimation nor any instruction from your side.

      AirTel — billing me for net charges even after i paid for the net charges worth rs 300.

      I activated the internet airtel mobile service scheme for a week which costed me 300 Rs. After activating the service i started using the service. After the usage of the service, when i disconnected the net i was charged 300 rs. I TALKED TO THE CONCERNED MANAGER WHO GAVE THE SETTINGS TO ME VERBALLY AND THEY WILL LOOK AT THE MATTER FOR THE REFUND OF MONEY. The next day when i used the service i was still deducted money for the net charges. I then called the customer care executive who told me not to use the service. Two weeks have passed, and i have not received any refund ,and i also want my 99 rs refunded for net connection as i was told not to use the service till everything is sorted out. Three days back i got a call from airtel exeutives they would refund 145 rs. I dont understand the maths and logic they are using. Please help me as it seems they are taking me for a ride. In all i should be refunded 399 rs. My airtel number is [protected].

      I have been continuously asking for the Itemized bill to be delivered to me in hard copy since 2 months now and still these people are not able to do that. i've changed my billing address which is also reflecting in their records but still the bills are even as of 3 days back were delivered to the old address. I had informed even the last time to deliver itemized bill but even in the absense, last time i paid but i'm not going to pay this time.

      I sent a mail even today that i need itemized bill and the reply that i get is that we have delivered at your address.. are you that stupid and dumb? why would i be sending mail for non-delivery if i had already gotten the bill? As mentioned the bill that was delivered was not itemized and my requirment is of an itemized bill. What do you eat to become that stupid and dumb? I am now wondering if Airtel appoints stupid and incompetant people or do they train them to become like this.

      I got net connection installed at my home but i am continuously getting Billing issues. As i got connection with Monthly rental of 899, but in every billing Airtel i changing me 899+899=1798 with services taxes. Every month i have to call their customer care and get my billing rectified, and also they are ensuring me that i would not get this type of problem in my next billing, but story remain same.


      I am a responsible customer so paying my bills on time, but in case on Airtel net connection and their system error i am getting many problems, every time calling customer care, getting my net connection disconnected, people coming to my place to collect money(even though i have paid correct money after getting confirmation with customer care). It like harassing me mentally and socially.


      Please look into it, other wise i am gona put a case in Consumer Forum.

      Just to update you one person came to my place and i have explained every thing to him and he has collected balance amount from me on 29th May, SL No. of that receipt is - 179612, but for current month bill also monthly rent is charged twice. And one more thing, even after paying that much amount my net connection got disconnected again on 29th May then i called up customer care and then they revived my net connection, Please look into it and do check your mails to avoid inconvenience.

      I have a net connection and a landline connection with Airtel Landline #[protected], Now problem is like i have a plan of 899 but from ur side every time i am charging twice means 899*2, and that is causing problem. Every time i have to contact customer care and get it rectified in next billing, but from Jan billing problem keep continuing in-spite of many customer care calls and a complain with # 874802,

      They are continuously disconnecting my net connection for the same, even though i have paid the actual amount as per my calculation and agreed by customer care supervisor when i explained him all the details. He assured me that in next billing every thing get proper as he has escalated to rectify that.

      Now my landline connection is disconnected, my net connection is working as i request them not to disconnect this as i have some urgent daily office work at home. And for this April billing nothing got rectified and they are continuing with their over bill and this time also they have charged twice the monthly changes.


      Please look into it and get it proper as i am getting inconvenience for the same. People are coming to my place to collect money which is causing me humiliation, even though problem is from your side.

      I am using airtel broadband, my no. is[protected]. I got this connection and a plan of 30gb max unlimited. after 10 days i requested to migrate to 75gb plan. they confirmed me that its done. In the nxt month after using it for 10 days i got a sms and mail that my 30gb limit had beed completed so my speed will be reduced to 256kbps.

      I talked to airtel customer care and they told me that am still in 30 gb plan. and it will be migrated only after 3month. and when i got the bill for october month, i was surprised to see that it was charged as 75gb plan. I again talked to airtel people and this time they told me that i was migrated in 75gb plan last month itself.

      I have got airtel landline too with this connection. And in both 30gb and 75gb plan airtel provide call up to 2000rs free with a bill cap of Rs300 but now when i am asking about that they are telling that only for me this offer had been changed to 1500min airtel to airtel free.

          message rate cutters which they offered 10000 national and local SMS BEFOR TRAI regulation and 100/day after trai regulation . and now TRAI had moved to 200/ day . but airtel is making business in this where airtel offers at 100/ day for rs 36, and other 100 / day at extra charges. this stupid airtel is using the TRAI regulation to make business.

          airtel was resdy to offer 10000 sms for rs36
          and now offering 6000 sms at 1536 rupees (one thousand five hundred and thirty six rupees)

            I have a customer of Airtel postpaid number ([protected]) for 4 years and always paid my bills on time. I always used to receive ebill from airtel on my registered mail ID and said STOP for paper bill for the sake of GO GREEN policy. I had received my last ebill for the month of March and after that Airtel stopped sending the ebill. They say that they only stop sending ebill in case consumer SMS from his mobile to stop the bill.
            Because I was in UK, I could not see the paper bills which were send on my India address and could not pay the bills. Suddenly I received the mail on 19 September 2011 to pay the outstanding amount of RS1857. I have requested the show me the bills, but never got a reply on the my request from Airtel.
            After returning to India, I contacted in Airtels customer relationship center FC road Pune. They suggested me to clear the bill and refused to show the bills to me.

            I cleared the bill on 5-Oct-2011 and apply to start the services on my number and paid RS 300 as deposit as well. Airtel assured me to start the services on Monday (08-Nov-2011) and given a numbers ([protected]/[protected]) to contact in case of any problem.
            Now service are still not started on my number and when I called on given number firstly I was asked in a very harsh and irritated way “what number, what request, whom you have requested”. Then when I asked him to work on my request they answered, “The person who has submitted my application is on leave and status can’t be provided”. Again I insisted to look them on the status I got the response, “there are 20 of customers in queue and currently I can’t help you out. Whenever I’ll be free, I’ll call you back”. I have never received their call. And when I am calling on the given number, no one is picking it up.

            It’s all, from dropping the mail for recovery to not starting the service on the number, is humiliating me and not letting me to concentrate on my work also creating ension in my personal life.
            Hope I will get any help from consumer forum.

              I paid Rs.2190.00 thro connect India for the Airtel DTH digital tv on 1.11.11.,for one year package with cash back of Rs.250.00 and 14 months subscription. Your Madurai distributor - Annai Maria Electronics (Ph:[protected]) made the installation on 3.11.11 and they said the activation will be done within an hour. But no activation up to 5th Nov and they told to contact Mr.Vinodh-Ph;[protected]. The said person told activation will be done in the evening on 6th nov. But till to-day there is no activation of your Airtel DTH -Digital tv which please note. already I complaint two times to the grievance of your airtel .in digital tv and no reply.

              I don't expect such a bad service of your Airtel DTH service and now request you to activate immediately or refund my money immediately with the compensation and damage of my application and the waste of time.

                On 4th Nov evening technician came and changed the setoff box, and told us that within 24 hours it will be activated, now it is 48 hrs, nothing has happened, yesterday receptionist from the service centre called me and asked me to pay Rs 750/-. Why should I pay this amount, I have been facing problem from the day I have purchased this connection.
                1) within 1 month of purchase the cable was changed.
                2) within 6 months of purchase setoff box was changed with a repaired one, which frequently gave trouble.
                3) Several time I faced the no signal problem and your tech. would come and fiddle around the antenna and it will become all right.
                4) after warranty period for the same issue of no signal, charged me Rs 100/- and did something in the antenna.
                5) within a week again no signal problem, they changed the LNBC by charging Rs 160/-
                6) within a week Set off box defective ( complaint lodged on 24th Oct) till the problem not resolved.
                Who is going to compensate for the mental agony I and my family is going through for last 18 months?
                Pls settle the issue without any further delay with a proper compensation.

                Airtel — irresponsible behaviour of Customer care personnel

                I am the post paid customer of your Airtel and my mobile no. is [protected]. During last month, without any intimation to me, your people have deactivated my caller tune and missed call alerts. A devotional song of Sai, (which is now available on another postpaid no. [protected]) which is my caller tune for the last one year and subsequently deleted that song by your people. I have made several requests for that song but your people are not able to timely respond or express their inability in this regard. Later on my several requests they activated missed call alerts and hello tune but the particular song is not activated so far. This shows neglect attitude and lethergic behaviour by your personnel. Hence you are requested to personnaly look into the matter and take necessary action.

                Respected sir/madam,
                this is to inform you that I Sunil Sharma has acquired an Airtel digital tv on 27/05/2009. Have the customer ID no. [protected].
                But due to some malfunctions in the gadget (stb), since 03/08/2009, I am unable to view any of my television channels. Its always shows an error THE INSERTED CARD IS NOT A BHARTI TV VIEWING CARD (2). After making successive complains to the authority the was no remedy.
                However, on 8/8/2009 an engineer from the your local office occurred at my place, he exchange of my new STB gave me another STB but an old one. The conditions of which is NOT good and its audio video jack is also move up and down and the warranty seal is also broken and it is just like a broken STB. Know what I want is that, since my gadget is lies in the warranty period, I want a complete replacement of my STB with another newer STB. The local authorities have denied me of doing the above but in you help line number [protected] is saying that I will receive a new STB.
                I hereby, request you to take proper action against the authorities involved in the mater and help me replace my STB with get newer one.

                I had applied for a new Airtel DTH connection on March 10,2010 by paying Rs.1850 through credit card. The amount got debited the same day. However I have not received any setup box nor installation dish so far. I had done numerous phone calls to their heldesk number, but each time they ask about the transaction ID and confirm that the installation would be done within 24 hours. I even sent email and got return confirmation that it will be resolved at the earliest.
                If Airtel does not wish to give me a connection, I would like my money to be refunded. Kindly advice on how to proceed on the above matter.

                I have complained for my Set Top Box Not working since 21st June 2010. The call centre guys simply keep the phone down. Delhi office promises to get it done same day. Nodal officers (a bunch of kids) at Mumbai call centre say it will be resolved within 5 PM ....This has been continuing for last 12 days. ALL LIES...

                Problem continues...I am sure the company is making a mullah by selling new connections in the name of World Cup at the cost of providing service to existing Service Providers like me.

                Imagine having already paid the advance rentals this is the position. Seems like Airtel is continuing its customer cheating practices adopted during the cell phone era into DTH also.

                Anyways I want the Set Top Box to be rectified / replaced immediately and I want my money which has been deducted on daily basis for last 13 days since the complaint was lodged back into my account immediately.

                I also want the contact details of a Manager level reponsible person's contact details in this faceless organization.

                TRAI must make it mandatory for all DTH service providers to put the ESCALATION hierarchy of these companies on their website.

                Surely, with the customer ID given above, a responsible person in Airtel would be able to get the registered mobile no.s from the record.

                I sure agree with Mr. Jha. I have never received signal properly since the day I got this ugly product installed. After I failed to get any proper response from the local dealer, since Feb. this year, I started sending them e-mails but without any success.

                I could see only 20-25 channels earlier, but since Feb. 2010 I could sometimes watch 5 and sometimes 20, but after 25th of June I can watch only 6-7 i.e. 100, 103, 104, 160, and 294 etc.

                Twice someone responded around 28th-29th by telling that things will be set right but after 30th June that too stopped. Instead, yesterday I got a SMS on my BSNL mobile phone that my problem has been resolved, and to respond back by SMS <UNSAT> if I was NOT satisfied. Is Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal lisning, when I tried to respond with SMS ‘not satisfied’, since no one came to attend to my problem, they message could not be delivered to the number mentioned in their own message.

                Shame on them, they claim to provide world class service, but if you ask me they are just fleecing the public. They are modern ‘CHANGEZ KHANS’, only they differ in their methods of loot.

                Will anybody be kind enough to inform how to tackle these people and if possible to arraign them in court if possible.

                I am one of the Unlucky customer of airtel Digital TV facing no connection error from last 05 days having 02 complain nos.3431587,3452706 for same problem. they dont have any maintenance engineer neither have any contacts of any associates and ask for resolution on never ending tomorrow.I will request to all readers plz never take a risk to use Airtel Digital Tv service. Now i want to withdrawl my service plz guide me how to get back my account money.
                this is worlds biggest looser company, it is expert in cheat to their customer, it is my humbel requuest to all my indian brother&sister dont buy airtel digital tv, it is better to use antena insted of it...

                Airtel — Setup box not working and no service available

                I had purchased the airtel setup box in the month of April 2010. This was for DTH service. More than 2 weeks ago; around 15th of October 2020 the setup box stopped working and there was no signal.

                I lodged a complaint with the service provider but I was just asked to call up another 10 people to get it repaired. However because my subscription had expired I also recharged for Rs 500 on the 21. I was still hopeful that the setup box will be repaired.

                However 2 weeks later, there has been no response from anybody and the setup box is still not functioning. I have tried my best but to no use.

                I would either want the setup box repaired or want my refund. This is a serious problem for all o[censored]s.
                I had raised a complaint 2 weeks back and service request number is 4421563.
                I was not getting any channel, the error being, "No Signal Found" and raised complaint.

                After calling continuously for 3 days, an engineer came to my home(Don't know his name) and worked for 3 hours.
                I was delayed by 3 hours to go to office but still waited for them to fix.
                By the end, i got some channels but some were still not coming.
                And also, to add on, this is not fixed, it varies every time.
                Then they said, problem is with the set top box(which we purchased from airtel 3 months back)
                and hence will come and replace it with new one the very next day.

                Now it is one week and no one has come and I feel very pathetic about the whole behaviour.
                No one is picking my call now and Customer care says the service request has been closed.
                How is this possible?This is how they deal with your customers?
                We had paid 5 months rent and took airtel dish which I now think was a mistake from our part.
                Very sorry to say but horrible customer service they have. Very very disappointing.

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — set top box light not glowing

                We are availing Airtel Digital TV service since 04.02.2010 on payment of Rs.2,600 (one- year package)

                But the service has been disconnected on the grounds that our account is showing a negative balance of Rs. 2.85 and that we must recharge upto Rs.70. When contacted the customer care service, we were informed that we have activated ESPN as a channel and hence the account had run to a negative balance.

                But we had never activated such a service. The customer care service is highly poor and inefficient. When contacted at 1.00 PM today, we were told about the above mentioned negative balance. But when contacted ten minutes later, the customer care personnel seeked an apology with us for giving us wrong information. I do not understand what kind of a harrassment this is and require clarification from the company. Should we proceed legally regarding this issue?

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Remote not given with STB

                Dear Sir/Madam, Date: 25-March-2011
                I bought Airtel DTH along with Sony Bravia offer, when service engineers came for installing(15-March-2011) it there is no remote with STB, the service engineer assured me of giving it on the very next day. And it is almost 2 weeks. Even after complaining it to the airtel customer care no response. It is really very bad and i never thought such a worst service from airtel. Before coming to pune i have been using airtel in chennai which is the best service i ever seen. Customer ID:[protected]. Complaint no:6190419. Now i am even thinking of discountinuing it.

                Could someone please look into this issue and resolve it ASAP.
                For last two days, My set top box is not working( Customer ID [protected] ). its showing SM2 error code. I have been trying customer care regarding this. first its not get connected and if get connected, they often put you on hold or they will cut it flaty.
                No body is listening. buying digital tv was the worst dicision i ahve ever made.
                only two days back new connection and new set box has been installed and since inception quality is entirely unsatisfactory rather not working replace the same immediately.

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Complaint regarding changing of Setup Box

                Dear Sir

                My name is Rajesh Kumar with my Customer ID- [protected]

                My setup box is not working and out of order since the past 15days and is of no use. I had called up in customer care on[protected] explaining my grievance and my complaint was registered with number 10987947. They told me that an engineer will be visiting your house on[protected]. The engineer visited the same day i.e.[protected] and after seeing the warranty slip (dated[protected] he said that he will not be able to provide us with free service as the slip was old and according the company's new plan the warranty lasts only for 90days, but it was clearly mentioned in the slip with us that the expiry of the warranty is 181days. This fact was brought to the notice of the senior executives Mr. Sangram Acharya and Mr. Deepak Mistry through various customer care number. It was then promised by them that the set-up box will be replaced within the next day of the call. It is further stated that the engineers did visit on the next date. It is now very important to note that every engineer that visited my house asked me to proove that the senior executive has promised me that the set-up box will be replaced for free. After my ample efforts and various calls to the customer care department no action has yet been taken. Further the customer care executives are not ready to listen and respond to the request made by me. On top of that they dissconect my calls as soon as I state my problem to them. My warranty expires on[protected]. It is clear from the actions and attitude of the company that it is just trying to lapse the time of warranty so that I am helpless for any further action and made to pay.

                In view of the above I demand for an immediate action for my request and also request for an written reply for the trouble and mental agony caused to me at the very earliest. The failure to this will compel me to take legal action and file a complaint to the Consumer Court against the company.

                sir we have filed a complaint and our complaint no is 16527109 dated 16/02/2012 , 16551327 dated 27/2/2012 and 16573949 dated 28/02/2012 regarding our set top box which shows red light only and the red light does not change into green after turning it on from remote or fro set top box i recieved several calls from airtel digital tv engineer but no action was taken .the set top box was checked by an engineer he told that the set top box is to be replaced by a new one by swapping. i approached airtel digital tv anantnag but they are saying that they are not having any hardware . from 26th of february daily amount deduction was made from our account till date.so i hrerby request you to please solve this problem and refund our account by the amount that was deducted .

                Than again re registered as old one was closed, complaint no. 32219038 &amp; it was agreed that it will be resolved by tomorrow i.e. 30.07.2013 before 7:30 pm, but no engineer came till date.Again contacted on 30.07.2013 &amp; given the assurance that service engineer will come at site on 31.07.2013 on or before 4 pm but no person came.Again contacted customer care than reassured that wait for 04 hrs &amp; service engineer will contact me within 04 hrs.i am facing this problem from past 10 days but no solution was given till date.
                Service is very very poor, i fed up with this Airtel Digital TV

                  My customer id is: 14760311 and I have been customer for Airtel for last 3 years. I was on plan where I paid Rs. 3500 every month for 2MB DSL connection for 100MB download limit. Last month I discovered that plan I was on has been discontinued for almost a year and the plan was replaced with another plan where you paid 2000 for 4MB connection and 150 MB download. When I complained to Airtel that why I have been overpaying Rs. 1000 for plan where I get half the download speed, 50% download speed, they told me that it is not their responsibility and I have to ensure that Airtel does not keep stealing my money. So I asked them to change me to new plan they told me it will be done from next period. This conversation happened on Oct 21st 2011. I called again on 25th Oct and 3rd Nov to check if plan has been changed, they told me that yes they are working on it.

                  The result of all those changes. I got a new bill that is even higher, now it is Rs. 4206. Apparently billing dept decided that I have to pay full amount for voice call! And I was also told that they have not moved me to new plan! So here is where things stand:
                  1. I DON'T intend to pay the overinflated bill, I should be charged Rs. 2000 instead of Rs. 4200.
                  2. I will love to go to consumer court to get my money back for last one year of overcharge.
                  And only plan I intend to pay for - your plan 1999 or 2099, depending on what connection you people give me. Otherwise I have no intention to pay for extortion.

                    i want to draw attention towards unprofessionalism of the airtel broadband. on 13 th sept 2011, i applied for airtel broadband and IPTV under triple play 1099 plan vide CEF no 2813751. i handed over all documents and cheque no 061451 dated 13 sept 2011 of HDFC bank, mianwali nagar branch rohtak road, delhi, branch amounting Rs 1750/-.i was told by the sales team that all documents and cheque will be submitted on 14 sept 2011 and within 3 to 4 days broadband and IPTV will be installed. when i enquired about it on 17th sept 2011, i was told by the customercare professional that by documents are not scanned. i contacted the sales person. he told that airtel is using lotus system that is why delay is happening. i said whatever may the system, customer should not suffer. fianlly on 21st sept i was informed that they are ready for installation. i fixed up appointment for installation on 21st sept at 6 :30 pm. the airtel person( Mr Ali [protected]) agreed. i took leave from my work and i left my work early to get the installation done.i got a confirmation call from airtel at 6 pm. i agreed to reach home by 6 :30 pm. i reached home in time. till 7 pm no body reported and i did not receive call from any airtel person. i called up airtel customercare and requested them to send engineer as soon as possible as i took leave only for this purpose. till 8 :30 no body came. i called up Mr. Ali, coordinator. he refused to pick up phone. i asked customercare person to provide me mobile no of the asigned engineer. they refused to give contact no. I was traumatised by the attitude of the airtel. i got angry because it was already a delayed appointment for installation and for this also engineer did not turn up. i called up customercare and asked them to cancel my subscription for the service. i was told that money will be refunded within 21 days. my complaint no was 4465530 dated 21 sep 2011. i called up again on 27 october on status of the complaint. i was told that installation is technically feasible and money will be refunded within 7 days ( by 4th nov2011). technical nonfeasibility was not explained. on 7th nov i got a call from Mr. Ramesh [protected] that a cheque of refund worth 502/- is issued. i asked on what basis amount was calculated. he was answerless. he said that he doesnot have any idea.rather he asked detail of my cheque. i said airtel should have all the details.i just asked him to lodge a complaint that amount of refund is wrong. he said that he cannot register a complaint and he cannot forward the message to the concerned person. i have to lodge the complaint. i said you commited the mistake and you should rectify it why are you troubling a customer.

                    now i am helpless and disappointed with airtel services. the sales person is refusing to get my refund and customercare is not giving me no of a responsible airtel executive who cal help me.

                    now the questions out of the whole incident is that
                    why airtel is taking so much time to process a request for installation.
                    why airtel is not respecting customers time and not installing in time.
                    why customer is not well informed about the change in schedule.
                    why it is taking so much time to refund a dissatisfied customer.
                    why it is calculating wrong amount of refund.
                    why it received money and gave schedule of installation if installation is technically not feasible.
                    although person on the ground floor of my building is enjoying airtel connection and BSNL and reliance are also offering services in the same locality.

                      On 30/9/ 2011 i went to my nearest airtel gallery at s.v road, garegaon west, mumbai to convert my postpaid airtel number [protected] to a prepaid one with all the documents required,after receiving documents. photograph and clearing the dues my postpaid number got converted in a to a postpaid one. But just after 3or 4 days i started getting an sms to submit a document which i already did and now you hav stopped my incoming and outgoing calls for the second time. I have been in touch with airtel since last 15days. it was deactivated for the first time on 14th of october and airtel peolpe were sorry for this they reactivated it on 17 of october. They told me to submit the document once i am in mumbai in a months time since i am on roaming in bihar circle. Dear sir i am on roaming and in a deep problem please kindly take apporiate action against the guilty person and start my services.

                      After speaking to customer support on 121 for more than 30 mins and visiting the airtel showroom, still my problem in not resolved. My problem is I didnt made any call from my mobile for 15 days in last month. so now on 15th june they barred calls from mobile saying zero usage. when I ask them they says it is for my own security. I did a big mistake taking AIRTEL POST PAID connection.
                      Guys you need to give a second thought if you are a person who regurlarly travel specially outside india and holding a AIRTEL connection.

                      I have registeredy complaint through 121 to Mr.sathish/ chennai service request no.43104547. This is regarding delay in changing my number [protected] from postpaid to prepaid. It was confirmed that it will b changed to prepaid. Based on that have recharged with rs.50 but now the number is totally barred. Don't know what to do.

                      But have received sms stating that we are trying to reach u from Airtel number[protected].will call u back.
                      How can they reach when the number is barred. pls look into it and do the needful. My alternate number is

                        Our Airtel Fixed line/Landline ([protected]) got disconnected on 31st October 2011 and when we asked the customer care agent said within 2 days it'll be activated. But even after 2 days nothing happened. So we called and raised complaint[protected]. It supposed to be closed on 5th Nov 2011 1:00 PM as promised by Airtel. But No response then we called again then a Technical guy visited our room and told issue in cable. The customer care again promised it'll be solved by 6th Nov 2011 11:00 AM at any cost. It's 7th Nov 7:15 PM and till now no action taken for this.
                        Even I tried to call Airtel Nodal Officer for Karnataka ([protected] ) and even Head Office ([protected]). No one picked the call and it keep on ringing for minutes. Don't know what for they published this Number. Even Customer don't know to whom to escalate. Totally Un-Acceptable.

                        Whenever we call the Customer Care, Airtel representatives say "The status showing as Work in Progress and we can't do anything. Concerned team will get back to you once this". Also they don't know when it'll be closed and who is really working on this. They couldn't answer any of the questions. Simply say "Sorry Sir. It won't happen again."

                        The funniest response given is "Once this issue is resolved, we'll give time for you to escalate this Sir.". Why should a customer escalate when the request processed?

                            Dear Sir,

                            We were using Airtel DTH service for last one year. Custome ID is [protected] registered to Mr. Neeraj Malik.
                            Last month its set top box was not working properly so that we call to customer care to register a complain as it is in warrenty period which will expire on dated[protected].

                            Customer care executive tell us that some one Mr. Kaushik from our side call them to de-activate our ID. But we don't know who Mr. kaushik is? we ask them to provide contact no of Mr. Kaushik that he use to call customer care to de-activate our ID, but customer care executive unable to provide any data & tell they have not any record about de-activaton or Mr. Kaushik.

                            How can any service provider de-activate their services without proper verification, like Name, Address, PIN no, Registered mobile number, date of birth, mother's maiden name etc. Customer provide them all these personel details at the time of activation new ID.

                            After that we requested them to re-activate our blocked ID, they tell us we have to purchase a new ID as they can't re-activate a disconnect ID.
                            We have already contact our Nodal officer & customer care evey day but there is not any confirmation from their end. some tell us to purchase a new ID & some tell us to contact nearest Airtel DTH dealer. We contact our nearest dealer, Their name is Sai Communication & contact no is +91-[protected] located in Greater Noida (UP), they reply that they can't do anything for us.

                            We are totally disappointed with Airel as I have spent a lot of time to contact them, result is Zero.

                            I don't know what have to do with Airtel and who is the responsible for all of that and who will bear all the expanses after the warrenty period expire.

                              this month also I have 2 instance of Tadka live 15 RS debit in my bill of 24oct2011.(on29sep2011 and 14oct2011)
                              and beside you told me it will not happend again ... I got this 30 Rs every bill in my last 3 months ...
                              I dont check my previous bill but I am sure you people deduct this amt from my bill and I paid for that so called service which I dont know what it is..
                              and after called your 198 customer care number some mr Prakash told me that Tadka live is active at my number ... and even he don't know what this service is all about.and then call is cut.

                              also I complained regarding cross connection and no voice heared or number still ringing but showing calling time ...
                              the same thing is reflect in my bill which ideally should be zero revenue call as it was network issue.
                              please check all the call which are less than 20 sec are those call in which either no voice heard or cross connection.
                              but you give me a list to provide is hell lot of info but i want to provide it this time.

                                I am S.Nath, from Purulia, West Bengal, my mobile no is [protected] (Airtel). I am a customer of Airtel since 2007. I have recharged my prepaid account with easy recharge of Rs/- 104.00, on 31.10.2011 at 10.41 a.m. (Trans. ID[protected] for one month subscription of Airtel NOP service. But Airtel do not activate that service after taking a number of requests until today 06.11.2011. Even the customer care personal tried to misguide me. This is very disgusting that a leading telecom provider like Airtel is so careless about their customer. This is my last time request to activate that service otherwise I will shift to Vodafone as soon as possible.

                                airtel / nokia — NO ACTIVATION OF GPRS

                                I'm living in hadapsar, pune, at satyampuram, , , and my prob is i'm not getting activated with GPRS SINCE LAST MONTH, i call ur service centre they arw saying that, it will be getting activated within 24 hrs, , but i think threre is big prob in server so pls do something. My mobile is good having all the facilities so there is no prob about mobile. I'm sending GPRSACT msg to 511 since last 40 days, reply is activation failed try again...what is this???

                                  Dear Sir I am Prabhat Kumar Dhar from Durgapur. My mobile number is [protected]. I have a bitter experience about Airtel. Few Days ago my mobile balance has been deducted Rs. 5 per Day. When I checked my balance after two days I realised that my balance was decreased by Rs 5 per day. But I have not aware about it . I want to say that without any notice Airtel was activated a service in my number and I have no information about it. When I check the last five transaction they didn't show about that service. By this activated service I had lost near about 100 Rupees which was not refunded to me still now. And the latest news is yesterday a service was activated in my number named Hungama.com. I have lost Rupees 99 for that and subscription charge was Rupees 3. Total 102 Rupees. I am fully fade up by this mobile service provider. I am near about 4 years loyal customer of Bharti Airtel. But they don't care about their customers.

                                  So if my balance is return that is very helpful for me. Kindly take the necessary action as early as possible.

                                      I am user of postpaid No. [protected] (corporate_State Bank of Patiala), I have also been activated for a plan of GPRS usage worth Rs. 99/- per month (2 GB downlowding). in the last days of every month this company bar my outgoing calls with a message "your billing amount exceeds your limit i.e. 800/-". However when they submit my bill it never exceeds 650/-. So many times I have requested not to club GPRS and normal call charges as these are two separate schemes. but it always do this foolish job. Company cannot show me even one day delay in my payments but always in much advance from billing dates. company should refund all charges for the days for I have been barred from outgoing calls and have hurted and mentally retarted me. otherwise I will have to go to consumer court.

                                        This is with reference to the complaint no: CWRCH[protected] I had an issue with the booster pack which i had recharged for Rs 225.00. Suddenly on 01/11/2011 i received a message that Your 225 Booster pack expires today, But when i checked in *124# it showed your plan expires on 30/11/2011,Before the plan got expired i was charged for my messages and when i contacted the customer care they checked and said my actual plan will expire on 30/11/2011, I asked them why do you charge me for the messages i sent, She said it was there mistake and said will refund them but even after 2 days it was not resolved. The second time i contacted she said will transfer to the Senior manager but the call was disconnected. I again called them and finally they said it will be resolved and will send me a complaint no which i did not receive. Today 05/11/2011 I received a message from Airtel that"Further to your concern,we wish to inform you that Your Service Request No CWRCH[protected] has been resolved". when i checked again i was charged for messages.This is my second complaint on Airtel were i have been charged unnecessarily. Will this be looked by proper people and help me to get rid from all these thing or should i avoid the usage of service, Is it a proper customer service for the Brand will the customer's like me will be cheated for the services you provide.

                                        I am Tereza from Nalasopara, my Airtel no. is [protected] on which I have not activated any sms or browsing which i do not know. Also, If I get calls from my family there is a voice of male who is using or giving reply on my mobile. Since last 10 days, every hour 0.10 is shown minus which irritates me . why uncessarily minus or debiting. I have contacted Customer care but only recording is going on but they were not given any representative to talk personally, dial this no. you have new offer etc. etc. At last today, morning I have talk with customer representative Ms Madhu, from where I do not know at 7.41 a.m. she was very arrogand to talk, not replying coolingly shouting, when I asked her to just disconnect my other services which are activated by Airtel only which i do not want. Then she replied you are browsing internet but on my mobile I do not know how to browse then it may be misused by phone by others please do all activated prograames deleted from my mobile only going and incoming callss can be attened .I f not I will take this matter to consumer court.this is for your kind information and necessary action please.
