I am holder of Airtel connection from past 10 years now (with the number [protected]). Though i never had any issues with my number but one instance has completely changed my perception towards Airtel.I repeatedly received calls from Airtel in order to purchase a new connection from Airtel. Somehow i agreed upon taking up the new number (i.e [protected]). Airtel demanded some amount of registration for this new number along with the first bill. I made a payment of 900 that included Rs 500 as the registration charges and Rs 300 as the bill amount. However few days later, i noticed that my new number is no more activated, and without my knowledge the number was disconnected. when i brought this to the notice of Airtel, i never got any help rather i was transferred from one person to another. This was very disappointing for me as i was with Airtel from past 10 years. I was explained that there were some past dues for some other number on my name due to which the service has been taken off. I was upset knowing the fact that Airtel didn't even inform me and the services were taken away after accepting the bills. This was sheer deception for a customer.I have lost my trust in Airtel and don't wish to continue my services.

Airtel is notorious for useless, ROUTINE, unprofessional, evasive responses to user complaints. Overall, the solution to many of their unsatisfactory services, both ooperating and trouble-shooting, would appear to be a thorough re-check and rewriting of all relevant software (and rectificaton/ replacement/ upgradation of hardware ex. for signals) and revalidation. also, why should Airtel let spammers and advertisers intrude into the time and life of cell phone users, as a matter of these people's rights, and are there no rights of phone users, to get Airtel to stop them if a user does not want them? AIRTEL obviously loathes to the right-royal honest method of resolving consumer issues, and perhaps is able to get away with its half-hearted methods smacking of public deception despite competition due to excessive greed as phone rates have legitimately fallen steeply due to competition. Another reason for Airtel's unfair practices may be because its rivals in the field are also doing the same things ?

    Hi Sir,

    I had taken Airtel USB Modem with Data Card no - [protected].

    I lost my USB in mid-Feb 2010. I registered complaint with Airtel, & was told that my complaint has been registered & the number would be blocked.

    To my shock, I received a mail on March 11, 2010 saying I have to pay outstanding bill. The bill number was [protected].

    I didn't understand, because I had already lodged complaint. I called up Airtel office, & I was told that my complaint would be taken care of.

    I received a similar mail on April 12, 2010, again I complained at Airtel office, & same reply that it would be taken care of.

    By that time, I had left Bangalore, & as such, I don't have any idea, if there were any field visits.

    I received some 3-4 calls from Airtel officers, everytime I mentioned my complaint, & the reply I received was that someone from the managerial level would get back to me.

    So far noone.

    Then, on 10 May, 2010, I received mail from Mr. Prabhanjan ( prabhanjan.[protected]@airtel.in), that a legal action would be initiated against me, as I haven't paid the bill.
    He asked to contact Mr. Ashok ( [protected] or [protected] ). Both numbers remained unavailable for 2 days!

    I wrote him a reply, registered a complaint with nodal officer ( [protected]@airtel.in, nodalofficer.[protected]@airtel.in ). I got an acknowledgement ( Ref[protected].
    But noone responded so far.

    On May 13, 2010 I registered a complaint with Appellate ( appellate.[protected]@airtel.in ), got an acknowledgement ( Ref[protected].
    As usual, noone responded.

    Then on 17 May, called up Airtel office, finally managed to speak to a Manager, Mr. Umesh R ( Interaction no[protected], and came to know that my initial complaint for lost modem hasn't been registered itself.
    He told me to send mails again to Appellate & Nodal Officer.

    Sent mails with the Reference no mentioned to Appellate, Nodal Officer, & MR. Prabhanjan again on 17 May, 2010.
    Got acknowledgement again ( Ref[protected] Appellate, Ref [protected] Nodal )

    Noone responded again.

    Now today, got mail from Airtel ( collections.[protected]@airtelmail.in ), saying a legal notice will be issued in a day or two.
    I was given contact no of Pushpa ( [protected] ) for queries.
    When I called her up, she talked in the most rude way, saying that she will send the legal notice to court on June 5, 2010.

    Finally somehow, with great reluctance, she agreed to set up a call with a Manager, on June 5, 2010.

    I have lost hope, & am very frustrated, feeling harassed.

    Will someone listen?

      Hello,
      In April 2010,I had placed a request at Airtel Relationship Center,Khatipura.Jaipur for converting my existing post paid connection into pre-paid one.
      They took all the necessary documents required for the request.They also gave me the Pre-paid sim for the further usage which got activated in a day's time.
      But on 26 May 2010,some female customer care executive from the Airtel Relationship Center,Khatipura.Jaipur called me up saying that some signature on address proof document (I had submitted copy of my passport) are needed.
      I went to the center and again signed the documents.
      Next day,Incoming and outgoing on my mobile was barred.And later the sim was deactivated.
      I went twice to the Airtel Relationship Center,Khatipura.Jaipur for my grievance and they twice gave me deadline assuring that my service will be resumed.
      But till now nothing has not been done.
      They made a error of not ensuring that all the signatures has been taken from the customer and now I am suffering for their mistakes.

      Then I contact nodal officers through the email nodalofficer.[protected]@airtel.in dated June 2 ,2010.Then I got a auto response that the will be contacting me in 24 hours.But they did not contact me even after 60 hours.
      Then I tried contacting them through the airtel nodal office telephone contact .But it was of no avail as every time i called they either stated that their system is down or need more time .
      Finally after speaking to 6 Nodal officers,I got a response that my number has been permanently disconnected due to incomplete form.
      I mean this is ridiculous and highly uncalled for.Why should I suffer just because of incompetent Airtel staff at their Airtel relationship center,Khatipura,Jaipur whom I had submitted the forms twice just because they forgot to take three signatures on the address and ID proof submission photocopy.

      Please look into this matter and resume the services of my mobile connection asap.
      I am using this number since 2001 for 9 years and I never expected this from airtel.

      If Airtel fails to restore my number,I will take it to appelate authority and consumer protection forum as the need.
      I am not going to quit this issue for sure.
      I will fight for justice.

        i bought airttel DTH before 9-10 months, and now its not working, i called to customercare from 29 th of last month, but they all guys are making fool , they cant giving me solution, while my Airtel DTH is under warranty period, they are just making fool me ,every day, even they cant give commitmnet otr final time, just they have words, wait we ll solve out, now with in 8 days, they cant give me solution.other side ,everyday my DTH balance are going decrease.
        my DTH is stop here, but they are charging also.
        i am in request please do the needfull,
        i dont know, whu such these companies making us fool every day.
        AIRTEL is a stupid companies, just they are making money with fraud bills and others, while they are not providing services

          I am subscriber to Airtel Land Line phone No.[protected] but the instrument installed at my place is out of order since long. My complaint in this regard is not being addressed hence I am facing a lot of inconvenience. It is also causing monetary losses as calls are not materializing. So please look into the matter and take corrective measures by repairing/ replacing the instrument.

          Airtel landline phone — improper functioning of phone

          My telephone no is[protected] .In addition to dial-tone the phone creates continuously unusual sound, which continues even during conversation.

          Airtel Landline — Line dead and non-functional for months

          My airtel landline no[protected] only works rarely in any month. Every month the set gets dead for many days and there is no solution. I am totally fed up always giving bills timely and again for the duration that I never use due to its dead condition. Oh! Please take it away as soon as possible or I WILL THROW IT ON THE ROADSIDE...
          My landline phone no. is[protected] and this dad from[protected] at 5.00 pm .I have try custmor care on 121 but no responce. So pl's I req u pls help me . thanks. My cell no. is [protected]. THANKS's.
          i have placed a request in airtel on 27th aug'09... regarding migration of the plan.. i opted for unlimited internet plan... the plan is not yet activated & i haven't any confirmation call.

          i am not at all satisfied with airtel... anyways kindly mail me ASAP so that i can give you my airtel landline number.

          Airtel — DEFECTIVE INSTRUMENT NO ATTENDED

          We have a landline [protected], and the instrument (Provided by Airtel with their logo) is defective. I made a complaint - 3600146.

          I was informed that it will be resolved within 24 hrs. Next day I was informed that AIRTEL has stopped attending to Instruments since OCT 2010 and it has to be taken to their Service Center and repaired at cost. While providing the connection we were not informed about such arrangements. In fact the instrument was once replaced when it was defective.

          How can they unilaterally change service conditions. No intimation was given regarding change of service conditions.

            Dear Airtel Team,

            I have made several requests/complaints to deactivate DSL Usage Charges (Gaming Calls) since Feb, 2010. My initial complaint was to deactivate and deduct the last 3 months usage charges and the issue was rectified and I was promised to deactivate the charges. But from last 3 months I am getting the bill statement along with this charge Rs. 99/- and every month I am calling customer care to adjust this amount. But this service was never get deactivated. Please can you look into this issue urgently and get rid of this issue in my bill statement. Though this adjustment was made on my bill every month, I was still paying the tax for the same from past 8 months.

              Dear Sir/Madam

              This is to inform you that undernamed person having a AirTel Digital TV Connection at Gandhinagar (Gujarat).

              The matter is:Oon 02.06.2010 at 01:14 PM, I have received a message from AirTel digital TV service provider on my registered mobile connection that Recharge your Airtel digital TV account today and get 10% more. Recharge with Rs 200 or more. Offer valid for next 48 Hrs only.

              Accordingly, after reading message received from Airtel digital TV, i rushed to a Airt Digital TV dealer and recharged by Rs 250/- on 02.06.2010 at 06:10 PM. But my Airtel Digital TV account recharged by Rs. 250/- only i did not get (more 10%) i.e. Rs. 25/- on recharge.

              After this i called to the Airtel digital TV customer care to give complaint on 02.06.2010 at 06:45 PM and than Mr. Abhishek, Customer care executive told me that this offer was wrongly send to your mobile no. and there is no discount offer for you on any recharge and told me that i am unable to lodge your complaint against this matter.

              I am very surprised that this type of mistake can be happend by by the AirTel Digital TV Service Provider and they are cheated to the customer by giving wrong written statement to promote their Product/Business and cheated the public.

              In this connection, you are requested to please take the matter seriously as the service provider is cheated to innocent public and customers and it is my humble request to take immediate action on the matter.

                  Hi,

                  I want to bring to your notice that we have been waiting for the last 2 weeks for someone to come and install the Airtel DTH at my place. I have been contacting the customer support group for the last 2 weeks and have received several complaint request numbers. I have spoke with at least 3 or 4 supervisors who have assured me that the Airtel engineer will definitely call you to install but no engineer has called in till date.

                  I was given the number (by the Airtel customer service dept) of someone called Gladwin who is supposedly the Area Manager for Thane region. I have never seen such an irresponsible manager in my entire career. His phone is always busy and he doesn’t even have the courtesy to return calls. I being a customer knowing the fact that there is a problem in the area that we stay was ready to go and pick up the engineer to avoid any ruckus. Gladwin appreciated this and assured me that since his local engineer visits Kharghar area only on Wednesday and Friday; he will definitely have it installed on Wednesday 2nd June 2010. I was supposed to get a call from Gladwin by 6.30 to confirm whether his engineer would be coming that day or no. I waited till 7:00 for his call and then started trying to get in touch with him. It took me 20 minutes to get hold of him as he is a very BUSY AREA MANAGER who doesn’t care for his customers.

                  Simultaneously I called up the customer support number[protected] and spoke with another supervisor who again assured me that the installation would be DEFINITELY done by Thursday 3rd June 2010 7:30 pm. I waited patiently and decided not to call up the customer support number to see how responsible people at Airtel are but as expected no one called.

                  So now finally I have decided that it’s of no use hitting my head on the wall. I would request you to please have some RESPONSIBLE MANAGER call me back if they really care for their customers.
                  Too bad service of air tel DTH No installation of setup box from three days and payment ago from 3 days

I have been contacting the customer support group for the last 1 weeks and have received several complaint request numbers. I have spoke with at least 4 to 5 supervisors who have assured me that the Airtel engineer will definitely call you to install but no engineer has called in till date.

                  I was given the number (by the Airtel customer service dept) of someone(Oasis) which mob no is in out of service. I have never seen such an irresponsible manager in my entire career. I being a customer knowing the fact that there is a problem in the area that we stay was ready to go and pick up the engineer to avoid any ruckus. Representative assured me that his local engineer will be visit definitely within 24 hours. But it was not known by me that when the countdown will be start for 24 hrs.

                  I waited patiently and decided not to call up the customer support number to see how responsible people at Airtel are but as expected no one called.

                  So now finally I have decided that it’s of no use hitting my head on the wall. I would request you to please have some RESPONSIBLE ENGINEER call me back if they really care for their customers. And advice for other customer not to purchase any more Airtel DTH for their worst service.

                    Air Tel Prepaid Sim — Theft of Mobile Phone.

                    My mobile No.[protected] was misplaced on 17/08/09 around Haridwar(U.P).I had contacted customer care executives here for blocking the SIM but sorry to say that they had given the Customer Care No. of Bihar for blocking the SIM.It is very surprising that they have not lifted the phone due to which I was not able to block the SIM.Your good self may be aware that my No. was on roaming as I am at present in my native place.It is not out of the way to mention here that my balance amount seems to be used by the founder of my telephone as "Incoming calls barred on this phone now".FIR also not possible for me at Haridwar as they were demanding the cash memo of phone which was lying at my duty place.
                    In view of above and to locate the founder location, Kindly arrange to provide the details of outgoing calls on or after 2.30 PM of 17/08/09.
                    pls, block my airtel sim. mobile no-[protected] due to mobile theft.

But I left the company in first week of May. And I submitted all required documents and company NOC to transfer the number from company name to my name. I submitted at Airtel Office address:Span Landmark, Andheri Kurla Road, Chakala Andheri East Mumbai.
                      The rep there name Jiten told me that my new SIM ( that i purchased by paying Rs 45/-) will be activated in 2 days as they got mail from Airtel person ( Payal ) who handles Medtronic account in Baroda, Gujarat. As this is corporate number billed to Medtronic, Barado office. But from last 1 month my new SIM is not activated. When I called there ( Airtel,Span Landmark, Andheri) they didn't answer the call and said in there rules they cant take the call. Now Aamir from that office ( Andheri E) says we cannot transfer the number. Because of this my number is blocked from last 1 month and i have to face lots of financial and person losses because i lost all communication through my mobile number.
                      They should have told me at first instance that they cannot transfer this number. I visited there so many times but they said they never said it is not possible , it shows there unprofessional and inefficient behavior.They tone is also very rude.
                      Please look into this on utmost priority else I am bound to escalate it to higher authorities.

                        hello sir,
                        i have been the customer of airtel DTH since 7 months. i have taken economy pack which is charged at Rs. 221 per month which includes channels and interactive services. seven months ago, there were around 12 interactive services. but now, there are only 4 interactive services. 8 have ben dropped out and will never come.
                        customer care is absolutely poor.
                        they are very lazy and in-competitive towards adding new channels for different groups of people. i gave 1000 of requests regarding addition of BENGALI channels such as Sangeet bangla, Rupashi bangla, etc.
                        but the other DTHs have added these two channels. But airtel officials do not know about these channels. they are totally fake n the worst.

                        NOW I WANT THE REFUND OF COST OF AIRTEL DTH CONNECTION.

                                This is for your kind notice that my problem (GPRS) is still persist,
                                today I have received a message from no [protected] at 11:49 am,
                                quoted as -

                                "Dear Mr. Khurshid we need to informing you that your gprs complain
                                has been resolved. thanks Airtel Customer Service"

                                My problem remains the same, that is whenever I get EDGE on my cell
                                the speed goes down very dramatically, i don't get enough speed to
                                carry on my surfing then.
                                But whenever i lose EDGE signal the speed get a little better, but
                                still so slow to open up even my email account. The maximum speed that
                                I receive is only around 4 to 5 kBps.(with out EDGE) and with EDGE
                                it's not more than 2 to 3 kBps.

                                Sir, I have been also told from some Customer Care Executive (CCE)
                                yesterday evening that my issue may take time to get resolved, I asked
                                him how much time, and he said he cannot make any promise.

                                My GPRS speed issue remains the same, and I am waiting for it to get
                                resolved. Along with it the most nearest functioning tower that is told to me form
                                some CCE is about 2.5 Kms form my place. This is a big issue, my calls
                                get dropped while in between conversations, Sometimes in a few
                                seconds. I feel like I'm paying extra to use Airtel in my Area.

                                Sir, please look after my complain. It is not a small locality, and
                                even in my house we have 3 working Airtel numbers. There must be
                                plenty out there.

                                Hi..i have airtel prepaid connection. My cell no. is [protected]. I have recently change my cell. My new cell model is samsung M2710.Earlier i had samsung model J600. I called up number of times to customer care to update my new cell phn in their database so that i can use the airtel live & NOP.
                                But they havent taken any action yet. I am not able to use gprs in my cell .

                                i have a Prepaid airtel connection with a gprs rs98 plan which allows 2 gb download...but the speed is too low to download anything , it normally moves between 2 to 4kB/s.. i was told the speed would be atleast 20kB/s on a edge phone.. i have a nokia 5800 xm..which is edge enabled ..i would request you to plz look into the matter..let me know if there is any other way to increase the speed.

                                I am from Aligarh, UP (west) with connection number [protected]. I have made many complaints about GPRS connection speed to your customer care, but it seems like no one care for customers. I am using Mobile Office Rs 98 plan, while many of my friends enjoy a good experience I am unable to get more than 4 or 5 kBps, which is not enough for browsing. I use it on my laptop and on my cell phone.

                                I appreciate your concern about providing us better service, but there has been no improvement in GPRS speed I'm still getting 4 to 5 kBps maximum. And whenever i get EDGE speed go down in between 2 to 3 kBps (That is maximum with EDGE), I really think this whole area need a better solution for GPRS, like putting new towers to strength your signals, and that may too solve our call drop problem here.

                                Someone from your side told me that my problem will be corrected by 18th of May, but nothing happen.

                                Sir i'm using mobile office Rs 98 pack, and believe me its been a horrible experience for me...I dont even recommend anyone to go for this one.

                                Only if my problem is corrected then I may continue recommending it.
                                I have been using this very same number [protected] by almost 5 or 6
                                years, and there is no care for such an old customer, what kind of
                                marketing strategy you are using? That I dont understand.

                                Yeah wherever is speed problem there is signal problem too, call drops are a normal thing. I am also facing the same problem, wrote many emails but still wondering in between 4 to 5 kBps, I was assured by the vendor that it must be a minimum of 20 kBps on my nokia 5800 Xpress music too...

                                Still no solution.

                                Hello, myself Kapil with mobile number: [protected]. I have subscribed to Airtel GPRS (1 GB for 14 days). The customer care ensured of 50-60 Kbps speed. However I am not getting the assured speeds from the airtel even in Posh Delhi area.!! So i request airtel to provide the net speeds as mentioned otherwise it will be difficult to trust airtel in future.!!

                                    I am using Airtel Digital TV connection since last more then 2 years which was installed in Hyderabad and relocated to Noida in June 2009 and paid Rs 600 for transfer their Digital TV setup. They had done it and was working fine.

                                    I had booked a complaint SR# 2897300 May 31st 2010 @ 1.00PM (STB is not working) and they gave me time for resolution same day @ 5.11PM but no action, then I called them and they gave me another time for resoultion on June 1st 2010 @ 12.00 noon, but again no action, then I called them again on June 1st 2010 @ 4.00 PM and they had booked another complaint with SR# 2905430 and gave me resolution time 2nd Jun 2010 @ 2.50PM, I took short leave and half day leave for all their commitments and was waiting them to complete but complaint still not addressed 2nd Jun 2010 @ 6.30PM.

                                    I am not sure what to do and to whom should I contact to get it resoleved. We have been given only customer care contact no and I called them almost 8 times till now and spent arround 5 hours on call and taken 8 hours break from office. My time too much important since I am working in reputed organisation and responsible to deliver. I need your help to know that who is going to bear this cost and how they are going to take care of my resolution.

                                      At above mentioned location BSNL, RELIANCE are having FULL NETWORK, but your AIRTEL is having ZERO NETWORK.

                                      Due to above reason, many of the employees are not using your AIRTEL SERVICE.

                                      From last one year i have given complaint upto 4 - 5 times, but in AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE, Bangaluru, for each complaint they will give different reasons and they are NOT TAKING NECASSARY ACTION.

                                      At present, more than 500 employees are using AIRTEL SERVICE WITHOUT NETWORK.

                                      Airtel Prepaid — network problem

                                      my home is in kozhikode near medical college. and my father is using airtel connection for almost 7 years but untill now the airtel doesn't have the network near our home i had complained it so many times but they don't have any response about it. it is their duty that to give us the network but they are not doing . so we are forced to cancell the connection but due to the long use of that sim it is not that easy to cancell in thqt quickly so we want you to take an action to solve the problem.

                                      Sir, Network signal of Airtel at Sadar Bazar, Meerut is very big problem, before 4-5 months signals are week but from 4-5 months signals are nil. It seems that Airtel is waiting for Number Portability, so that all Airtel number could shift to other network like Vodafone.

                                      I am visiting Kolkata for a month (official visit). Once I came here, my office co-worker gave me a Airtel Prepaid SIM card to use[protected]. That SIM card was bought in December and was not actively used. When I got it, it had 40 paise on it.

                                      So I had to go to the nearby Airtel office (Kolkata - Salt Lake Citycenter mall - Airtel office), to reload. I paid Rs222 and then I paid additional amount to enable the ISD (there was a plan for Rs.1.99 to call USA). Then I started using the card. I called Tamilnadu and used the card.

                                      Then the next day, the connection was down. My SIM could not be registered. So I went to the same Airtel office (Salt Lake Citycenter mall) and asked them about this. The lady told me my number got disconnected because of non-use!

                                      My questions: 1. If my number is disconnected before I paid Rs222, why did they take my money?
                                      2. If my number is disconnected after I paid Rs222, why did they disconnect?
                                      I asked this question to Airtel staff - they could not answer.

                                      Ok. Then they told me that I could have a new SIM (free of cost). But I need to give them my local contact info. So I had to go back on tuesday. They gave a SIM[protected] and collected another Rs222 (for the new SIM). I was told the SIM would work in 20 minutes.

                                      Needless to say, it didnt! My SIM was not registered! So I went back the next day. Repeated the whole story and the manager came and she told she will fix this in one hour. Again needless to say, it didnt.

                                      But the next morning (today), the connection is working. It showed balance around Rs 262!! I asked them when I got the SIM about the STD plan. I was told about 40 paise/min plan.

                                      I made call to Tamilnadu for a minute now. The cost of the call was Rs3.00!!!

                                      I am fed up. I am giving up. I dont want to go back to Airtel office again. I will use Skype or some land line.

                                      I faced same problem for month. Customer care also didn't respond. So complained on the forum. After that they called me. They told me change the sim. I said that it was a network problem but they insisted in sim change. I changed the sim. But still net speed was pathetic. So I complained once again. Waited for there response for 5 days. As expected there was no response. So switched to Vodafone through MNP. Net speed is back to normal. I am much happier now. I'll advise you to do same if customer care keeps frustrating you.

                                      Hi Everyone,

                                      My name is Sagar Khadasare ( Mob. No. [protected]). I am facing network problem with my airtel number. Even though I can see full coverage my outgoing and incoming is not working. I am not able send or receive messages also. I am facing same problem since last 1 week. I logged complaint 3 times and Airtel has rectified problem with 8 hrs.

                                      Today again it started giving same problem so I called customer care [protected] twice. First time when I called them I asked them for the reason they said its network problem and we will fix it in 2 hours; I requested them for Port Out so he transfer call to his Manager name is Akash Gaikwad. He was requesting me to wait for 2 hours and problem will b resolve; after having so much argument he transfer phone to technical executive her name was Priti Waikar.

                                      When I started talking to her she said there is no problem in network; you have to submit documents again. I asked her I am using this phone from last 2 years and now you are asking for documents. She said our verification process is going on and our executive try to reach you on 16th Feb 2012 but you didn't answer the call so now you have to submit documents again. I quickly checked my Call Logs and there was not a single miss call o[censored]nknown number. I asked her about the details about the number of executive who gave me call so she said WE CAN"T PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION. She said I am still registering your complaint and gave me complaint number (COGL[protected]). She said I will msg you complaint number. I told her madam my phone is not working and how will you send me msg. She said DON'T WORRY SIR THIS SMS WILL COME TO YOUR PHONE.

                                      She is technical person and still not understanding that msg will not come. I asked her to transfer again to manager as he lied to me about network problem. Then she said I can't transfer back to him as there is no such facility here. THIS IS ****ING MY MIND. And I dropped phone in frustration.

                                      Again after 4 hours I gave customer care a call. Person picked and said that there is problem in network so he will fix in 2 hours. I told them above story and ask him to Port Out Request then he aske me hold so that he can transfer to manager. I was on hold after few minutes he came saying you have to submit document. I said I am waiting for your manager and wanted to speak with him. He said I can't do it unless you submit your document. I bang the phone abusing him and decided to change the Service Provider by submitting document again as I don't want to change my number.

                                      Its my humble request to everyone please please please don't buy any Airtel SIM either pre-paid or post paid these are just people who can give hell lot of answers for no reason.

                                        I enquired about the mobile GPRS connection & the procedure to activate & use the connection on my hand set.
                                        I was told about the plan and usage but nothing specific in terms of setting. I got is activated on 15-April-2010. After 2 day I check with customer care about the sudden raise in unbilled amount by Rs200 and got no justification. And in that month bill I was charged around Rs1100 against GPRS usage. I checked with customer care & they said I used Airtel Online which has different gateway so the charges are valid. I asked them why it was not clarified that I need to change the settings when I explicitly asked at the time of activation. Later they said on the benefit of doubt they can waive off Rs 250 from the bill. Why should I pay the amount which is charged because of their mistake?
