I applied for mnp for my number [protected] from jio to airtel on 13/11/18. I was adviced that the port process happens in 7 days and the downtime will be maximum 2 hours during the port process. However on 5th day, jio disconnected me from their network. And airtel was not activated. I went back to the airtel relationship center in vizag, where i did the initial process. They reluctantly attended my case and adviced me to wait till 7th day night. That's usual to take 7 days time for port. I, despite being losing network on my banking registered number, decided to wait till 7th day.
As i write this complaint, today is the 16th day of my request! I still do not have network on airtel sim. I have restarted and reinserted the sim more than 100 times in this period.
I have written complaint to [protected]@airtel customer email, for which they did not provide any resolution. Then i emailed the nodal office andhra pradesh. This is the 3rd day since i emailed to airtel nodal office. I have received multiple standard emails saying that we will get back to you shortly. I even got a call saying that my issue is resolved. But still i can't access network. My phone is still showing sim not provisioned.
I am totally disappointed and frustrated by the port decision. I have lost so many important calls, i had to make written requests to my banks to change mobile number to do any banking transactions. On a whole, i have suffered a lot of damage due to this irresponsible network.
I need refund of my first recharge amount of rupees 230. And the port charge rs. 19. I paid 250rs at the time of application. I decided to abandon that number. I do not want to keep ranting at the airtel customer care people. They literally don't care.
Please have a look into this matter since i believe its trai rule that a customer should experience only 2 hours downtime during mnp process.in my case the downtime is 384 hours and counting!
