Today morning, i got an sms saying that the airtel value added service airtel namkeen has been activated on my mobile on 60/09/2018, and rs 35 got deducted from my account. When i called the customer care, they are blatently lying that it was me who activated the service and the services don't get activated automatically without my consent and deactivated the service and refunded back the amount immediately. I have never used any value added service from airtel till date, and the way the service has been activated without my consent is a cause of worry. I checked my message and got it deactivated but what about customers who don't check their messages daily. Airtel would have made a lot of money by activating such services for a lot of consumers and renewing them automatically. Can someone help me on how to approach the consumer court and fine airtel heavily for doing such things so that they don't repeat such a cheap tricks in future.
