Hi team,

I got an issue with airtel 995 recharge. I got such an issue that i wish to leave airtel and look for some other provider. This is not the way of dealing with a customer. I, as a customer request to improve your process and re-define it.

Initially, a month back or so. I donot remember the date exactly. I called to customer care for 995 recharge and as per suggestions, i have done the recharge. And i thought airtel is giving me nice offers. But, after this recharge, my problems started in bulk.

In my airtel app, i use to see the data balance, how many days remaining in this recharge and all those stuff. After 995 recharge, nothing is being displayed. I called to customer care and updated my issue. Later on, i got update like this - "as this is new recharge value, looks like system is not upgraded accordingly. We raise this issue with our backend team and make this corrected. I felt very happy and after 3 days or so, i was able to view the recharge amount and also remaining days like 360 or so.

Since few days, i was unable to view those in my airtel app. And i am in assumption that i may get alert or notification if my usage is high on data. As far as i remember, i didn't see any notification like that. I was seriously trying internet since morning, but it is not being connected. It was not being connected. And i was totally failed to use internet as i was using this airtel network. I failed because there was no notification or alert. And i started browsing continuously. And i got a notification like below which looks very irrelevant to me. And when i used the option"*121*11#". It directed me for offers but not my usage. (Refer to image 1)

Notification"data usage alert: you have used 10mb data from your main account. For info on data packs, dial *121*11#"

If my airtel app shows me my usage as before, i wouldn't have wasted my internet usage. Instead, i would have used my wifi.

Additional to this - customer care agents & supervisor.

Previous supervisor/agent updated me that i would see my usage in airtel app directly. And i was fixed to that and use to monitor that. Suddenly, it was gone one day. I am not sure why this has happened. No notification to me on this.

Recent supervisor, he is guiding me another process on how to check data balance. If this correct, why previous agent/supervisor mis-guided me? If previous agent/supervisor said correctly, why recent agent (Das) mis-guided me? Further, he agreed that there is no process of raising complaint on previous agent/supervisor (Whom a customer speaks). There should be some process defined for raising complaint on such issues. Why it was not there?

And today (23 - may - 2018 12:18 pm) spoke with swathi n. Just listen to this recording. Airtel will be knowing how they are responding to the customers. This is not the first time for me.

Additional to this: connecting customer care calls

For connecting these calls, we need to strive for long waits. It would be a minimum of 30 minutes to connect to customer care. And again that is chargeable. Is this the way airtel treats their customers?

Its not matter of 36/-. Its the time and belief on airtel. I was using the same number since 2009. We are in 2018 now. Its almost 9 years. I never changed my number nor requested for some porting options. Still, airtel is playing with customers like me.

    At 4.48 PM on 11.06.2018, suddenly i got an SMS that i have been charged Rs.35 for activation of GLAMOURZONE on my Airtel Mobile. Again one SMS came at 4.54 PM on 11.06.2018 conveying that GLAMOURZONE service has been activated.

    When i checked balance amount of Rs.35/- was deducted. As i had not requested for any such service, i called the customer care. They said that i had sent SMS requesting them to start the service. This is ridiculous.

    When i asked the customer care executive to register my complain, he denied taking any such complain. He also denied to tell his full name and told only his first name as "Soheb". I got clueless. He said he can not register complain but no deduction will be made in future.

    Though the amount is less, it is an unethical practice and needs to be addressed.

      I have received a call from airtel[protected] on 11th of june at 4:49 pm from a lady executive for port my no to vodafone to airtel when i request her to don't call this is the 3rd call from airtel in a day and i continuously receiving from a couple of days so she replied "call uthane ke liye staff rakh lo" and was laughing sick.

        Hi all,

        Anu durai (Airtel store employee) has submitted fake degree certificate for joining as employee in airtel. Y i'm complaining now means there are many people's including me who done there degree and still they are waiting for job. After checking anu durai degree certificate if you found as fake certificate surely you will terminate him amf that job will go for someone who's waiting for a job. If you didn't take any action against him i will file complaint in court /media against anu durai (Airtel store employee) and airtel for encouraging like this employee.

        Note: if you have any doubt about fake certificate. You can check with lokesh (Airtel store employee at brookfield, bangalore). Lokesh helped and durai to get this job in airtel. Any enquiry about anu durai fake degree you can check with his friend whether he done degree or not.. I'm mentioning anu durai friend's contact number just for reference -

          This is the worstest network ever i used till now. Just stop you fake advertisment about the bestest network and all #.
          I have use several networks, didnt face this type of problem ever.
          Network is never available when its highly needed. No internet works. Other person can't hear my voice. Call doesn't get placed at once.
          I mean nothing is right.
          Whenever i get any call from your cse, if i start complaining, they will disconnect the call immediately.
          You dont have that much of guts to listen to your customers complaint.

          3 value added services has been activated on my number without any intimation.
          and my balance of Rs. 75 is deducted.

          I want refund back and deactivated the activated services.
          Other sims are activating on my number...and they are giving targets and sending messages to me that other unknown number is verified and activated by my number without my permission its happens.. Why?? With out my permission who this airtel network allows others to active and verify on my number

            jyotish4u has been activated without my consent

            My mobile no [protected] where joytish has been activate without my consent on 04/06/2018, i have requested to for deactivation, the airtel deactivated but the amt rs 35 not returened, inspite of that airtel again activated joytish 4you and again rs 35 deducted without my consent. Today the airtel again renewed joytish 4you and deducted amt rs 35 without my consent.
            Now my question is that why are you cheating with my airtel balance...

            I used airtel wifi router and was not working fine in my deep city inside building. Not able to use 100 mb per day. It was dead slow. I reported and asked disconnection. They disconnected and balance payment i was trying to pay online they didn't enable in my account. They sent court notice and asking for payment. They forcing to come retail office to pay rupees. And few executives called and stating like rude guy and demanding payment otherwise they will do some action against me.

            This is seems airtel met heavy lose and down due to other competitors. They are suppressing customer and doing this. As my wife is lawyer i am going to make in court and will proceed.

            I already published all doc in my social network.

            Airtel company show me offer 399 ₹for unlimited 3 /4 G data per day and when I activate this offer now Airtel company give me a 1.5GB per day as Airtel company cheat me l have attached here screenshot

              We have been using the corporate services for more than 9 years, we have never faced this problem earlier.

              As per the telecom, refer to the discussion regarding the messages popping up on the mobile no [protected] which is overseas for the business trip. As per advised by you irp 649/- pack per day is auto activated if a person travels overseas and inspite of the auto activated pack, after which on the same day we activated irp 2999/- pack and even then the messages are not stopping. The messages which were sent on the mobile is attached fyr. The constant messages are interrupting the meetings and is not able to concentrate which is leading to mental harassment, moreover our trip is getting affected.

              Look into the matter and resolve on priority basis. Also note we are not going to pay a single penny

                Approached airtel customer care to convert my postpaid into prepaid. Initially, they asked me to come after 2-3 days, citing reason unavailability of the bill to clear dues. After pursuing, they said ok. But now they cant adjust security deposit towards the clearance. And after pursuing a little they said ok again to adjust but now they said: "we will charge the dues as mentioned in our system" which is not actual after monthly discounts and settlement will be done via cheque later"
                I mean come on, we are in the digital world and you are giving so many lame excuses just to trap customer in postpaid.

                Update on the complaint: After pursuing for many days Airtel CC took conversion request on 15/06/2018 after clearing all my dues and told me that it will be converted to prepaid within 3 days time. its been 6 days and still not converted to prepaid. Now today 21/06/2018. I received a message that "no action is being taken regarding postpaid to prepaid conversion as per our telephonic conversion". So much o[censored]nethical practice to keep customer traped in postpaid. Slow claps for Airtel.

                  This is krishna chaitanya and my mobile number is xxxxxxx. I have got my mobile bill for the month of may as 1, 52, 610.58 rs and i was told this is due to my international roaming on april 23rd. I have got married recently and traveled to maldives on april 23rd. So at the hyderabad international airport there was one of the airtel relationship centre and the executive has told me to activate 149 pack which would allow me to get incoming calls and sms. He also said that if i pick the calls and answer them it would be chargeable and the same case with mobile data and if the usage goes beyond the credit limit the sim would automatically get barred. I have used mobile data for sometime thinking that it would not go much beyond my credit limit which is 4800. But later that evening i got a message from airtel stating that i have used mobile data worth 1, 52, 610 rupees. And today my mobile bill for the month of may is more than 1, 52, 610 rupees. And now when contacted customer care team they say that the credit limit will not be applicable if you are in international roaming and would be valid only in india. I have tried reaching nodal officer and also enterprise team of airtel and they are asking me to pay the complete amount and they cant do anything on this. There has been miscommunication from airtel and now they are claiming that that its fault from my side. Also they have blocked all my outgoing services on 11th june saying that i have exceeded my credit limit.

                    My mom is an Airtel user and recently the issue with the network has made our life's a hell. We actually require a phone to call others or get calls. Lately, she isn't able to make calls nor getting calls. Please look into the matter as this is really annoying. And if the same thing continues we will be forced to Port to other networks.

                      I had upgrade my airtel sim to 4 g.. But now in 4g network it's working one day and next day not working at vile parle address ambewadhi westrun express highway..in advertising they show sab kuch try karna chaiye.. This is my first simcard.. At least mene sab kuch try airtel me kabhi nahi lethi aise third class network hai.. I already pay rs.399 for internet recharge..

                        My grand mother mobile no [protected] has been charge for an un authorised transaction on 8th june 2018 at 1:58am. The games club service was activated and 55rs has been deducted from account with any prior knowledge. When i called customer care they are saying lie that a message has been send while i cant see any message in sent items as well my grand mother doesnt know how to type a message. Seriously airtel you are giving this silly exuses and said they wont refund money and person who was on other started started yelling and stope d responsing while the call went for another 1 minute without any response from their side. I want my 55rs back and initiate my refund. I have all the details of transaction.

                          Dear sir very bad service in airtel connection. Now i have very bad experience with airtel connection because i want to convert post paid to pre paid connection but without start of pre paid connection stop my post paid connection. My connection was stopped from 7 june 2018 to till now i was recharged rs.128 in new sim of prepaid connection that's why i have bad experience from airtel company. I liked airtel connection airtel dish but i don't like because i faced harassment. Now i have no working of prepaid or postpaid connection. I have only one sim. My airtel no is [protected]

                            I purchased 4g hotspot from airtel on 09/06/2018. The airtel people themselves called me and gave me the device and charged 2900 as 6 months bill. My airtel no is [protected] and that person's no (Who gave me the hotspot) is [protected]. The hotspot is not activated even after 2 days. That person is not picking my calls and his phone is switched off now.

                              I woke up and as any person would do checked my phone. I found that i activated whatsmob service clearly not known by me. Just to be sure i checked the time i received that message it was 3:30 am. There is no chance of me activating that service. As soon as this happened i deactivated and got deactivating message immediately but didn't receive my money back. I called the toll free number and airtel app but couldn't find any option to help me. Why is that you can send a confirming message immediately but fail to send money back? This happened to me many times but most of the time i got my money back unlike this time. I think i can observe the pattern and happens when i have relatively more balance like 1000/- or 500/-. I don't think that a big company like airtel should resort to such cheap tricks.

                                I lost my mobile with sim card. So yesterday i had purchased duplicate sim but it has not been activated yet by you. I am in trouble because bad service of airtel. Today i have called many times to customer care and they said that we do activate it but it's not activated yet. I am facing very difficulties.

                                  My husband has an airtel number, he activated child plan for my number as i was also using airtel postpaid. After activating i was not able to use data. I raised complain and was told that problem will resolve in 48 hrs but that never happened. I called them again and they apologised and reopened the complain. The problem did not get resolved. I called again they reopened the complain again and this kept on going for 1 week.
                                  Why the hell this company starts these kind of plan when all they want is to fool the customers.
                                  It's been 8 days and i am not able to use data. I don't know what and how the company is going to pay me back for harassing and fooling.

                                    I have a poor connection from airtel. I had raised a complaint to airtel but till now there has been no improvement.

                                    One the contrary the problem has aggravated and i have been informed that my cell phone is unreachable at times. This is impacting my work.

                                    I was advised to send a porting message to 1900.

                                    But i am unable to send sms to 1900, for porting out my sim from airtel to another service provider.
                                    I am able to send sms to all other numbers like my friends and relatives.

                                      I followed the procedure given for sim swap from 3g to 4g. I got a message for confirmation where i had to type 1. I did the same for which i got a msg
                                      "wrong hlr gold sim, please try again with correct hlr sim number"
                                      When i contacted customer care i was told to repeat the same procedure but to no avail. I had already contacted the customer care only after trying a few times. Customer care executive was inefficient and just kept on saying to try again. I would like this to be resolved soon failing which i am planning to change my operator.
