I would like to highlight that i am facing a big time harassment from airtel regarding the wild & erratic bill generated for the month ending 22nd december 2017. The invoice raised was rs. 48, 244.78, which includes the international data roaming of more than rs.40, 000 for 1.5 days for my trip to maldives. Following are the points which would validate my position:

1) firstly, i never asked any airtel executives to activate any international roaming facility on my phone number, so how was it activated? On discussions with the airtel executives, they have different and lame answers. Firstly, they say that your number had a provision for that and you initiated the same while you were on international roaming in july 2017. I would like to highlight here, i never requested for anything as such and i have never been on any international trip since last 3 years.

2) secondly, they say that as soon as you dialed a number from maldives to india, we activated the international roaming facility. Here, i would like to highlight that couple of times before going to maldives, i tried calling from india to maldives but those calls never went through, as they say that international facility is not available on your phone. So, how could my call go through when i was in maldives, isn't it fishy? To this, i also have to say that my wife also uses airtel and when she tried making a call from maldives to india, she could not and her data was also not working. So how come, there are different treatments for the same network users.

3) thirdly, when my credit limit is 3600, then why my services were not stopped? Airtel executives brought it in a caveat here saying that while you are on international trip, this credit limit is not in force, i mean how would a customer know about these hidden exceptions.

4) fourthly, even if the ir facility got activated somehow, which i still consider it as a highly unlikely event, isn't it a duty of the vendor company to inform or warn its customers about it? The airtel executives are clearly lying here, saying that we have sent you warning messages. I have several messages in my inbox, but i would like to honestly point out here that i did not receive any message from airtel as soon as my ir data started working.

5) fifthly, if somehow my mobile data was working, it would have got used for a couple of hours en route airport to hotel. Once i was in hotel premises, i was completely on hotel's wi-fi and not on mobile data. Then how can this be possible? On this, the airtel customer care says that your wi-fi must be weak so automatically, the mobile data would have got used. Is this a way to explain the bill, seriously.

6) i only came to know that airtel is charging me for mobile internet, when i got the first message from airtel on 2nd dec regarding internet usage of rs 787. At that time, i believed that that it may have been an error as it is not possible since i was using the wi-fi, anyway to avoid any further problems, i turned off my mobile data. Then the next day, at 6.20 am, i received another message from airtel, that you have used data worth rs 5, 129 and as a precaution we will disable your service. I was shocked to see a bill of 5, 129 since i could not believe how airtel is charging me when i am on wi-fi and my mobile data being switched off. At 10:48 am, i again received a message from airtel that your international data roaming services charge is 5, 129 and your internet service will be blocked temporarily. At 11:50 am, i received another message from airtel that your services have been barred. I was somewhat relaxed that there be a end to it to this undue and invalid charges. All the screenshots of those messages have been attached. But to wildest surprise, when my bill was generated i was asked to pay close to rs. 50, 000. My question is once my data services were barred, how the bill can shot up to close to 50, 000? Airtel executives say that the data may not have been real-time. On the contrary, they say that there is no human intervention involved and everything is software based. Then my question is, if the process is so dynamic then how can the information you send to customers be lagged.

I have read several posts on facebook and twitter related to the same problems witnessed by other customers and they have been harassed in a similar manner. Here, i would like to say, that i cannot accept the wrong charges indicted on me by airtel which is by all means wrong. Also all the above communication suggest that big harassment is being done on me for last 30 days or more.

    I am prosenjit kundu one of the airtel customer in kolkata. Now few days i received many massages from "a$-tfarot" related to information of calls and massages deduction wuth duration (As same as when any call or massage occured). But in those moment i was sleeping or not handling my phone. So i am little worried about that who called or sent massages. Please help me come out this problem and block those kind of things from my airtel mobile no. [protected].

    Please slice my problem. I also inform you for this matter before in airtel site i. E [protected]@in. Airtel.com on 8th february 2018 but still i get those kind of massages.

But every months 29 rupee cutting from main balance. Airtel thinking that customers are fool. Airtel is looting us.             Hi this is shahensha, i have sent request to port from vodafone prepaid to airtel postpaid. Every day they call me like first time raising request and start over process. I went to store and they sent email and that very same day came acknowledgement about porting from airtel. Later on 7 feb i received text saying the service will be active midnight 11:52

            I lost service with vodafone at the informed time but didn't get it activated till today 12 feb. Im visiting store everyday. Bengalur marathalli store. Same reason everyday that they have sent email and by today night the service will be active. Everyday same drama. Visited store for 4 days continuously and still no help. I don't have any alternate service to use. My number requested to port is [protected]

              First reactivate my previous airtel paymentsbank account whose number is [protected] in which rs 121 is present and your airtel company first debit freeze and then close my account ([protected]) without my knowledge. I think this is fraud done by your airtel payments bank team. So kindly reactivate it so that i can use my rs 121. First solve this and your team is always said wait wait how much wait?

              One of your airtel payments bank specialist told me on email open new airtel wallet with same name and same date of birth so that airtel payments bank can transfer my money rs 121 to my new wallet as i opened a new wallet with account number [protected] so please transfer my money as this is my hardern money. I also submit all the required documents requested by you via email (Aadhaar card) today so that your airtel payments bank team can process further.

              Summary:-

              1. First reactivate my old airtel payments bank account whose account number is [protected] which was debit freeze and closed by your team in which rs 121 is present.. (Problem of 13 jan 2018 still not solved)
              2. One of your airtel payments bank specialist mr. Sudharshan tell me to open a new wallet with same name and same date of birth. I opened new wallet with number [protected] so that u can transfer my rs 121 to this new wallet which was there in account number [protected] which was debit freeze and close by your team.
              3. If you are unable to reactivate my old account number [protected] which was first debit freeze and then closed by you, then you can transfer my rs 121 to my new wallet whose account number is [protected]. So simple solution. I know ur team know the solution very well but why your team is not taking action. Not taking quick action simply mean some fraud is going on.

                I have use mobile no. 99xxxxxx01, which is under corporate connections cug plan of my company name
                "m/s kaushal power & steel (P) ltd" having there registered office at kolkata. W. B

                In the capacity of director of the company i have to go through several time out side india and also different cities
                Of our country. For that reason my international roaming is always activated. (Only international roaming activasted
                No data package there on)

                On 3rd week of january 2018 i have a tour to ghantok. Sikkim. (Not a international destination) and neither i have
                Applied for a international data pack. But when we are in receipt of monthly bill there is a international roaming
                Charges debited rs. 2999/- at mobile no 99xxxxxxx01. Whereas i have not gone aboard, my passport will prove
                That.

                Therefore we request you please check the mater & reverse the amount

                    Swapped a 2g sim for 4g yesterday evening and received a message that the new sim has been activated. However we are unable to make/receive calls. Caller is said that the number is out of service. Further on calling from the number, nothing happens and a message appears mobile network not available. We are not even able to use basic ussd codes. To aggravate the matter the insensitive customer care guys said that everything is fine from their end. Though after calling even they realised that the number was unreachable. Instead of resolving the issue, the support aggravated the issue by mentioning that there has been sufficient data consumption on this number though there has been none from our end since this number is only used for calls and was even the data meter in the mobile set shows 0 bytes of data consumed. Till yesterday, it was in an old moto l6 handset and since yesterday it is in moto c plus in which we have specifically switched off mobile data since we have wifi at home. We are not receiving basic services (Like call/ussd codes etc let alone data services). Take action urgently since it is become really troublesome without call services. We have checked it in a different handset as well and it is not working whereas a vodafone sim is working on both handsets

                      I recharged its a 4g connection. At one time only 1 things works either mobile network or 4g data usage both are not able at the same time or pathethic network at 4 g.                             I am using airtel dth [protected] i had raised a complaint about issue regarding no signal on video so it was raised at 12 afternoon and service person supposed to visit at 3 but he didn't reach if it is 4:30 also what a worst service. Wrong decision of taking airtel dth. And customer service people also misguiding saying wrong information wasting time of customer making them wait for rectification whole day it is not acceptable at all. We customer believe in good service even airtel is believe to be great in service but i am disappointed and i need to inform people not to take airtel if someone actually doing it i never recommend airtel for my friends colleague anyone worst

                              It got deactivated by the month of may 2016. Please let me know is there any possibilities of getting my number back because i have given this number for my school, college and for my every personal id proofs.

                                    Dear airtel,

                                    It is almost 3 months on 25-12-17 while am making complain why airtel is fail to provide constant speed of 4g?

                                    On the other hand on one is taking care of consumers, every time you people are calling, no one is coming in front to solve problem.

                                    I am feeling being cheated by airtel, you people just take money in advance for services and when we consumer complain you just call every time, up to now no out put, no result, no trouble shooting of consumers for last three months.
                                    Please clear me why i should not sue on you???

                                    In spite of all your efforts, you airtel people are sheer fail to sort out the issue which i am facing and complaining for more than three months.

                                    Respected all authorities, being an indian consumer, feeling cheated & fraud made by airtel, i am making complaint on my each mail but up to now there is no action taken from your side towards airtel.
                                    So this time i am adding cc to our excellency, president of the nation,
                                    Respected president's secretariat, please sir have a look on complete matter, these kind of companies do not allow consumers even a single minute extra data, but when they are in fault, consumer not even compensated in spite of many more complaints.

                                      I went to the airtel office in urapakkam, chennai to change my number from post paid to prepaid at 6 pm in the office. They said that you should come by 5. Even the reply was like they were replying to the beggar. Is this how the airtel guides to respect their customers? I know airtel offices are open till 7 pm in the evening. Then why are they not able to provide their services even when its not the closing time. I am really ashamed to be an airtel customer. I am the consumer of the service and they should treat their customers in the way they should. It is more than enough if they respect and value the customers. This is what we expect as a consumer.

                                        Last night i got a message that airtel life style service got advocated for rs.30 for 6 days. What a cheap trick by these guys. Shame on u. I recharged my mobile for rs.120 because i was having separate data pack and when it got down to 35, these guys had taken it totally and i'm left with zero balance. What the hell? Why such a big company is playing these cheap business tricks? I unsubscribed the service and i got a message that it got stopped, but my money didn't get added.
                                        I think this is because of myairtel app. I'm going to uninstall it today.

                                        i barely use my phone because of this now. this better stop or im going to discontinue with airtel on all my phones
