I'm writing to express my disappointment with my experience with akasa airlines for rescheduling my Kochi-Mumbai flight (QP1519, PRN OBKUSA) due to an emergency. I rescheduled the ticket on 23rd February. I contacted many times to akasa customer care and also i mailed them many times, no any positive response from them. They are making fool of poor people.
The customer care executive presented two options: reschedule without fee with document verification or pay for rescheduling and get a refund post-verification. I opted for the latter, paying over ₹4000 extra (total ticket cost above ₹9000).
Now, they are claiming a partial refund and initiating amounts to third-party apps, which deduct their own fees. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic.
To add, I chose Kochi airport despite Trivandrum being closer, as it suited my travel plans. The 5+ hour journey to Kochi made rescheduling particularly stressful.
For context, I've travelled with other airlines like Indigo and had smoother rescheduling experiences. Recently, I rescheduled an Indigo flight a day before travel, paying only ₹700 extra.
Your executives' words are misleading people like me into making wrong decisions. If needed, voice call recording of our conversation on the day you can hear I rescheduled for verification. Was this information helpful? |
