I strongly advise against hiring Allianz Packers and Movers. My experience was defined by gross incompetence, contract violations, and predatory tactics designed to extort extra money from customers.
The Experience:
Contractual Dishonesty: Before paying my advance, I explicitly confirmed payment terms with their sales representative, who agreed that the final balance would be settled upon delivery. Despite this, they later ignored our agreement and demanded full payment before they would unload my belongings, effectively holding my goods hostage.
Total Lack of Preparedness: The crew arrived without basic moving equipment, including rope. They abandoned my heavy almirah (wardrobe) mid-move, claiming they had to leave to get supplies. When I offered to rent rope immediately to finish the job, they refused insisting they would return the next day with more manpower to make it "easier."
Manufactured Fees: When I complained to the Allianz manager, he claimed the equipment was "my responsibility" and demanded extra money to cover the crew's return the next day. This was clearly a staged tactic to hike the price.
Abandonment & Financial Loss: After refusing my offer to resolve the issue on-site, the company stopped responding to my calls entirely. I was forced to hire four local laborers out-of-pocket at an additional cost of ₹2, 500 just to complete the move that I had already paid Allianz to perform.
Damaged Goods & Fake Insurance: My refrigerator was severely damaged during packing. When I filed a claim, they denied all responsibility, falsely claiming I lacked insurance but it was pure negligence.
My Advice:
Allianz Packers and Movers do not manage their own operations; they hire unvetted third parties who arrive unprepared and use "hostage" tactics to demand more money. Save yourself the stress, the added labor costs, and the property damage by hiring a professional, transparent agency.
