I found an ad on instagram for the cloth and apparel website. Purchased 3 outfits from antgirlcollection.com on 2nd jan, 2020 and paid a sum of rs. 1010. The company seemed to be legit and had even detailed explanation on the return and refund process. It also had a valid facebook and instagram page. Few days later when i tried to find the site to check the status of delivery for the order, the website did not exist any more. I tried to find consumer care no., i couldn't find it and even the instagram and facebook pages were also deactivated. The whole point is why does instagram even show ads of fraudulent sites without verifying or having check mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and validity of the claim made by such companies. It always asks for UPI payment and no COD . So u can't even call and check orders.
