Anytime Loan — mental harassment | |||||
I had actually consumed a loan of 9000 from anytime loan company (App based finance) operating from gachibowli in the month of july'17 for a month. Since i wasn't able to close the loan in august & september i paid interest & extension charges of 3000, as per company i should i have close the loan by paying 9388 in oct 18th but i request for extension for next 18 days since i get paid on 5th of every month. Company people started calling me/my parents/friends and started harassing them to get the payment. I finally paid 9388 as mentioned on agreement on 06th nov'17 company stated that their are delay charges of 10000 which i need to pay, i requested them that on loan of 9000 how can you charge 10000 rupees against penalty they agreed to settle the amount of 6000 which was also high and started calling my parents and friends and ruin my reputation. They have even asked my brother to beg if not able to pay and also ask parents to start begging my father is retired central railway officer. They have called my friends and asked money whereas i have taken a loan not my friends. My only request was to ask for reasonable penalty charges to close this and also to stop calling my friends and family when i am answering the phone but they haven't understood this. I have raised a grievance complaint (Darpg/e/2017/29275) also on pg portal. And a consumer complaint online docket# 483289. Request you help in getting these harassment calls stopped until i am able to lodge a complaint with consumer forum court. Below are company details & payment details that i have done. Also seems this is fraud that they are running as banking companies would never contact reference until customer is contactable. Also not to forget they are calling me my family @ 10.30 pm in night. You should always read the fine print and charges/penalties involved while taking any loans from any entity. If you had done so, you would have known the implications of late payment and the charges thereof which you could have avoided. However, if the company is acting in a high handed manner, you can file a complaint with SEBI which regulates are financial intermediaries via the SCORES portal and they will take it up with the company who have to provide appropriate response. Also when borrowing amounts which are beyond one's ability to pay, always keep Plan B, where you will mobilize that amount in case you anticipate any delay. This is the suggestion I can give you as a financial and investment advisor so that money can be handled responsibly and can contribute to bringing stability to the on'es financial life.
