Avadi Municipality — Complaint Regarding Irregular Garbage Collection in Our Street

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to bring to your attention the irregular garbage collection service in our street under the Avadi City Municipal Corporation.

Currently, the garbage collection vehicle visits our street only once a week. On the remaining days, residents are forced to dispose of their household waste at a common dumping point outside our street, where people from different areas also dump garbage. This has resulted in an unhygienic environment, foul smell, and inconvenience to all residents.

We kindly request that garbage be collected at least once every two days to maintain proper sanitation and public hygiene.
Furthermore, the residents of Sarojam Apartment collectively decided to pay ₹300 to the sanitation worker for regular garbage collection. However, despite accepting the money, the service has not improved, and the worker continues to skip regular collection.

We request your immediate intervention to ensure regular garbage collection and to take appropriate action against the concerned personnel if required. If this issue continues without resolution, we will be compelled to escalate the matter by submitting a complaint to the Tamil Nadu CM Cell.

We look forward to your prompt action and a permanent resolution to this issue.
