Dear sirs

1. At the outset, I feel very very sorry for causing this inconvenience to you by writing this mail, since you are a very very busy official. However, i am approaching you in a very very distress situation, when no one is helping me to recover my hard earned money from a notorious company. I am a retired Colonel of the Indian Army and presently settled at Panchkula (Haryana), near Chandigarh. After my retirement, from my terminal benefits, I had invested Rs 1, 00000.00 with AVON Corps, located at Mumbai, since the company being world reputed and was giving me a good interest rate too. Notwithstanding, on first maturity, the company on its own had re-invested the accumulated money with interest. Initially, I had deposited Rs 1, 00000.00 (FDR No C001160) on 29.06.2010 with 12% commutative interest for a period of three years. The maturity value, which was to be paid to me was Rs 142622.00 on 29.06.2013. However, when self-approached the company telephonic-ally, as well as in person, the company explained that we desire that all investors should re-invest their money till 2017. I too became prey to their diplomacy, as a result allowed the AVON Corporation to keep the money as FDR till 29.05.2017 (FDR No CO11615), maturity value Rs 226674.00 . However, when later I tried to contact the company to en-cash, the company was not attending my calls, which i made many days.

2. Thereafter, having made many calls, I had personally visited the company premises in Mumbai twice and both the times found the office locked/closed for business. Thereafter, had approached the SEBI, which had turn down my complaint stating that the company in question (AVON Corps Corporation Ltd) has closed its business in India, as such they cannot help and had advised me to approach the MCA.
