Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation — namma metro/ more user friendly suggestions
Hii. Having travelled in many metros around the world, and was a frequent traveller in london tube for about 5 years. Now a resident in dubai. The idea of namma metro for giving each platform a number like 1, 2, 3, 4 is little bit of confusing the new users.in dubai metro they call each platform with destination name. For eg: the train to rashidiya will arrive in rashidiya platform. Like that they do the direction board as well. My suggestion you please avoid platform nos, instead call it like mysur road platform or nagasandra platform. Direction board should show towards mysur road. Now its showing towards platform no: 2. A new consumer will not be knowing mysur road is platform no: 2 or byappanahalli is platform no: 1. 2) atleast 2 or 3 station names along with the destination station name should be displayed in each platform facing wall to make sure the traveller is on the correct direction. For eg: a person standing in kempegowda station, mysur road platform should be able to read on the wall like kempegowda station... Krantiveera... Magadi road... Mysur road Regards Nash.. Was this information helpful?

Dear Team,
The Bengaluru metro is legit very convenient as we can reach the destination as planned and hassle free. But the only problem I feel is in the signages within the metro station. The sign boards in the Majestic metro station is kind of confusing and I always ask people around to make sure.
Also, it would be much better if every platform had a route map of the train instead of just saying 'towards kengeri', for example. This would help rare or new users to check the map and board the train.
Thank you,
Sulekha.

Instead of keeping every metro pillar as empty, make it informative with creative designs. About our history or tourism or the promotion of local art or promotion of home business in Karnataka, like wise.
For Example: Every pillar will remind us our great history of Karnataka, with pleasant picture form.
Thank You
