Hi, I am submitting this complaint on behalf of a co-passenger in a BMTC bus 500-CA (KA-01 FA 1406) that I took this morning. It seems that the passenger rendered Rs. 100 for a Rs. 20 ticket and the conductor scribbled the change amount at the back of the ticket at the time of issuing. At the time of getting down somewhere near Marathalli, the passenger requested the change of Rs. 80 that the conductor owed him. But the conductor, though had enough change, started abusing him and was asking him to get down without giving the change (Rs. 80) saying he did not have the change. As the passenger was reluctant to get down, the conductor had to give the change finally. Rs. 80 was not small amount and the conductor initially wanted the passenger to leave it behind. I am uploading the copy of my ticket (not that of the co-passenger's as he had gotten down before my stop) so that the conductor can be identified (he was not wearing his name tag).
This is almost the case with any small changes upto Rs.5 as well. It is high time BMTC comes up with some sort of digital payment and until then conductors' behavior as mentioned above should be strongly discouraged.
Date: 24/12/2019
Time: between 9:00 AM to 10:AM
Route: 500CA (Towards ITPL)

Thanks in advance
