[Resolved] Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation [BMTC] — ticket fraud and rude behavior | |||
Dear sir/mam, I am writing this complaint in the light of two events that has happened to me in past few days. Today (24-june-2019) i took 507-a (Ka-53 f-074) bus from kammagondanahalli entrance to bel circle at 7.10 am. Since the bus was crowded i was standing near the front entrance and the conductor was on the other door entrance. Since he was not moving in my direction, i asked a fellow passenger to get a ticket for me to bel circle and gave rs 20 to pass to the conductor. The conductor without even listening to the destination stop name, he gave a ticket for manyata tech park (Cost is rs 20). I told called him and told i don't want ticket for manyata and instead i wanted for bel only. He became angry and told keep the ticket, i'll exchange it at bel stop. After arriving at bel stop, he gave 10 rs and i gave him the ticket back which he gave by mistake for manyata. I asked him for the ticket to bel, then he started shouting that it was already because of my mistake that he gave manyata's ticket and he can't give me bel ticket since the previous ticket has become waste. I told that i will complaint against you if you are doing like this. He told go ahead and do it. Similar kind of event happened again when i was traveling in same bus from kammagondanahalli to jalahalli cross. The conductor took 10 rs and told that he will give the change later at the destination stop which i agreed to. After arriving at the jalahalli cross the conductor gave 10 rs and told to split between the fellow passenger. The other person also didn't have change so i asked the conductor to give the change as i saw him keeping 5 rs coins in his pocket to which he replied as i have other passengers also to take care of. I can't give you that money which was very rude. Sir, i am living in bangalore for 16 years now and these kind of scenes are normal everyday in bmtc buses which is very unfortunate. We travel to our work place/ college in the morning looking at the bright day but these kind of events ruin our day. Plus, nobody likes to engage into a fight with conductor/anybody in early morning that to based on ticket fairs. The public transports are running to serve the public and not to make life more difficult for them. I request you to consider this complaint as serious because even though it is a small issue and happens everyday, at the end of the day passenger gets cheated by these small issues only.
