[Resolved]  Bangalore Traffic Police — Necessity of better placement of no parking sign

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

Rather than a complaint, this is a suggestion in good faith. In front of the R.T.Nagar post office, there's a space at the side of the road for parking two wheelers. About 25 meters away from the post office, there's a no parking sign which extends from the point of the sign until 300 meters in the direction away from the post office. Since the parking area is one stretch, nobody notices the no parking sign since it is placed behind some railings on a footpath. Our traffic police get a good haul of bikes parked everyday in that no parking zone, because there's no immediately visible indication that the no parking zone has begun. Most people end up parking their bikes there because bikes are already parked there (that's what happened to me). A responsible person would ensure that if they really didn't want people to park there, they'd place a clearly visible demarcation on that part of the road, showing that parking area ends there. As of now, it just appears to be a nice daily fishing ground for towing away two wheelers everyday and collecting a fine. Dear policemen. Please either do away with that no parking sign or make it more conspicuous (the current no parking sign is visible, but not good enough). The same applies for any other no parking zone frequented by traffic police towing vehicles.
