Hi,

We the residents of 5B Main, HRBR 2nd Block,Kalyan Nagar- 560043, are facing water problems from the last 1 year, the supply from BWSSB is very irregular, repeated complaints and requests to the Engineer at the Area's BWSSB ofice have yielded no results.Hence, we are totally dependent on the local private water tankers despite having the BWSSB connections.

We have been trying to put complaints in the daily news papers, but still its of no use. The supply is scheduled for Saturday, Tuesday & Thursday, but still its irregular or sometimes no supply at all.

Everytime we call the office asking for the water supply, they send a small tanker to drop water which drops water to a few houses and vanishes.

Dear Sir,

Iam staying at 1st floor, of 228/4, SCW Road, 5th Main, K G Nagar, Bangalore - 560 019. From last 10 days the drinking water is not flowing to first floor and our overhead tanks are empty.

Till now no action has been taken by the water supply department and it is disturbed our routine life.

I am residing in B.E.L Lay Out 2nd bk 3rd main vidyaranyapura since 1 month drinking water
is not coming to the taps both inside in the kitchen & out side tap. Water coming only to the sump
that is also the flow is very low even after closing sump valve not a single drop of water is coming & the sump also not fillig properly. Now we are forced to buy water from tankers.It has been communicated orally several times to the concerned but no action has been taken.
Hence kindly to arrange regular supply of drinking water.

Sub; Irregular water supply to NGEF Layout,Ist Main Road,Sanjayanagar,Bangalore,
BBMP Ward office Road regarding.

We the residents of above area wish to bring to your kind notice that,we are residents of above menationed area in Bangalore, facing irregular water supply from last many years from your Sanjaynagar BWSSB station. even after several complaints both in writing and orally the said officers and je of the said station and area MLA and Corporator have not taken any action as on date . When we complaint about our problem they are giving irresponsible reply reply over phone and the person who is attending phone call are not connected to the official staff and the said walveman were also not available in the office and the said AE and Je were also not available. as per the department schedule we have to get water supply alternate days ie., once in two days. allover bangalore city areas are getting 2 hours supply once in two days. But in our area and Ist main we are getting only 30 to 40 minutes supply. some times no supply and the said time of supply will not be regular we have to wait for throughout the day.

We hereby request the said authority to look in to our complaint and take immediate action against the concerned office in providing us the justice for the above said area residents.

i am writing on behalf of residents of 5th & 6th crosses of 7th main, Muniyappa Lyt, G.B Palya, Hosur road, Bangalore 68 residents.although we have paid kaveri water connection charges 3 and half months back, water is not being released regulary.water is being supplied in taps only8 days once or 10 days once.when we inform local JE that time supply will be there.again from next time same problem.same issue is being continued from long time.if some of the residents have not paid the tap connection charges, action may be taken on them to stop supply only to them.instead, everybody is facing the prolem.we are suspecting that the local water tanker suppliers are influencing.pls look in to the matter for the consistant water supply.

My house number is 1113/13 railway parallel line A block sahakaranagar. For the past one month the water supply is once a week while all the blocks in sahakaranagar get water twice a week. When enquired with the valve man he says theA2 section of A block sahakaranagar is of higher gradient and hence water supply tommy house will be only once a week and cannot be helped.this was reported to the assistant engineer in the past on phone no[protected] with no result. Hence this complaint.

SINCE TWO MONTHS WATER SUPPLY FROM BWSSB IS VERY IRREGULAR. THE CONCERNED PEOPLE ARE NOT MONETORING THE SUPPLY OF WATER THEREBY NORMAL LIFE HAS BEEN AFFECTED.
Dear sir, I'm an resident of Ambedkar layout 4th main road, kaval byrasandra.usually all this days their was no water problem in our area.But from last 2 months we are getting water once a week. When we enquired the local authorities they informed water is adequate from the main RT Nagar tank, but the bwssb line man of our area is expecting money from the residents. If we don't pay money to him he will never supply the water. His name is sham and he works under kaval byrasandra bwssb. We kindly request you to take strict action against the line man and to supply us water regularly. Thank you

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    We the residents of HBR Layout 3rd Block are facing acute water shortage problems since February 2010, i.e. as soon as the new counsellor, Mr.Govindaraju, was elected. Previously, we used to get water every alternate day, i.e. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. But after February, we are getting water, at a very low force, only for 20 minutes once in every 2 weeks (which is 40 minutes of water in a month!!). Due to these problems, we are forced to purchase water every week from the local water tanker for Rs.500 per week. After we purchase water from the water tanker, we get water the next day. We suspect that there could be an illegal alliance between the counsellor and the water tanker authorities.

    We have approached the counsellor and pleaded to him to supply water in our area. But he has turned a deaf ear to all our concerns. The funniest part is that, HBR Layout 2nd block and 4th block do not have this water shortage problem, but we residents of HBR Layout 3rd block are facing water shortage problems.

    All the residents of HBR layout 3rd block have planned to approach TV9 News channel to telecast our problems. But before we do so, I thought it would be better to put a word to you. Please advise on what has to be done in this regard.

      This letter is to inform you regarding the water crisis in our area for the past 1 month.

      For the past 1 month we are not getting cauvery water supply properly through BWSSB connection. We have to depend on private water supply agents inspite of having cavery water supply connection.

      All the residents in our area are facing problem because of not having proper water supply.

      Hence I shall be grateful if your goodselves give me a solution for this problem.

        Dear Sir

        I am resident of RRMR Extension which is near to KH Road

        There are 2 water leakage around my house which are leaking from past 2 months.

        The first leakage in empty site which is next to Karnataka Bank in K H road were the leakage is from past 3 months, nor the landlord or any concerned person have taken action against this and the other leakage is 1st cross which is next to Mega towers, the leakage is from big stone slab which on the road..

        So i kindly request the concerned person to take necessary action as we are loosing (wasting) precious water which we have suffer in summer time.

        It is my humble request to take necessary action and do the needful.

          To BWSSB, We residents of Padma Upadhya Layout, Nagadevanhalli near Bangalore University have been facing problem of drainage overflow and need BWSSB to investigate and get them rectified at the earliest. Earlier complaints were not adhered with simple excuse that residents do not pay property tax. There may be few, but majority of them pay and this is not excuse get rid of the duties. Appreciate your immediate action.

            The manhole near the on Ilpay Thope 'A' Street and 'C' Street Junction in Halasuru is overflowing for the past many days.

            I have made several calls to various people and complaints to the BWSSB centralised control room Ph.[protected] , Mr. Somashekar (A.E. Halsuru) - [protected], Mr. Prabakaran (A.E.E. Halsuru) - [protected],
            Halasuru BWSSB Office Ph.[protected] Mr. Lakshman.

            No action has been taken till today. I have been given false promises.

            My kitchen is very close to the chamber. I am afraid that diseases like Malaria,Dengue, Chikengunya, Gastro problems and during rain the water gets mixed into the sump.


            I request the concerned authorities to take action immediately.

            Personal — Overflowing manholes.

            Address: BTM 1st Stage,18th main, Ward no.66.

            Unbearable stench and public nuisance caused as a result of the overflowing manhole.

            Walking has become impossible and the stagnant water is being used as a breeding place for mosquitoes.

            Requesting the authorities to do the needful as soon as possible.

            Manhole has been leaking since 3 months. Store name is THE TOWN HARDWARE STORES
            This is right in front of my store at Godown Street, City Market next to Chandra Bhavan Hotel. Even after 10-15 complaints no one has even bothered to attend to our problems.
            This is causing a great stink which leads to loss of customers.

            Please someone help me out. It wil be great help to us.

            Even after calling the BWSSB PRO number at 22945114, the person is not even interested in lodging my complaint

                BWSSB arbitrariely handles the water distribution and doesn't attend to leakages in time as was being made to! And it is learnt from the press that their transmission wastage is quite high compred to all other countries!
                BWSSB now for the last one week did not release a single drop of water in BHEL/ S. R. Krishnappa Gardens though it has released water in Tilak nagar area as was learnt from the public!
                If those only relying on BWSSB water are made to suffer both financially and psychologically who is accountable for that? How could BWSSB do so without impunity?

                  This might seem a common issue and the authority reading the first few lines may like to close the column thinking that it is a common problem in Bangalore. But what I am addressing here is a most uncommon issue embeded in the common problem. This pertains to 18th 'A' Main, 5th Block, Rajajinagar. I would not be afraid to state that this as an exclusive problem we are facing.There is no water in Rajajinagar 5th Block, 18th A Main Road since a month and half. Although the road next to our road, one/two roads ahead are being supplied with water as per the BWSSB routine (I would not be wrong if I say they are getting water almost everyday, because of the water pressure and the timing). Repeated complaints have been registered verbally as well as in writing, yet no action is taken. Tried talking to the newly elected corporator from BJP Mrs. Jayarathna but no use. We are remembered only till the time elections are over, after which nobody cares for the well-being of the residents. Repeated phone calls were made to her office as well. But all efforts were futile. We have been buying water from private tankers costing Rs.350/- to 400/- for each load. We are surviving only on this tanker water ever since one and half month. One can imagine the amount spent on water which is apart from the regular BWSSB bill. Inspite of this actue situation, all prices of basic amenities, milk/petrol/diesel etc. have gone up and neither the Government nor the newly elected area Corporators are addressing any of these issues, inspite of repeated requests. We do not know when this water issue, which is a very basic stuff would be addressed and resolved. When we are encouraged to vote in the elections to see our representative win, I feel that the encouragement and support is only till the time elections are over and results announced. This is a unfortunate situation to live in. In view of the above situation, I am on my way to decide that I will not be exercising my right to vote in any of the elections and would encourage my fellow members also to do the same!

                    Dear Sir/Madam,
                    From 23/03/2010 we are facing with Single Phase in our layout & I Called to BWSSB office &
                    booked complaint, line man came & they told that the Transformer is Short Circuited & Burned, so Instead of 3Phase now its working in Single Phase, the main Problem is in our house & in my neighbors house we have 3Phase Water Submersible pumps & it doesn't work in single Phase, since from 23/03/2010 we are not able to pump the water due to single phase, but when we asked in your BESCOM office, they told that there is no stock of Transformer to replace the same. so we are facing a lot of problem without water in this summer its too hot & that's too without water then it will be much more difficult to live. Please replace the Transformer as earliest as possible and do needful. we will be very kind to you & your Department.

                      The main reason for no water by BWSSB Machillibetta area is that the valve man "RAMADAS demands money from the residents under Machillibetta pump house in COOKE TOWN, MS NAGAR, JAYBHARATNAGAR etc,
                      And take the advantage of this summer time…….which is a gala time for these “corrupted employees of this BWSSB”

                      Several complaints have gone to deaf ears, as this practice is supported by the engineer there. More over the BWSSB tank drivers do not supply water to the people who have registered complaints.

                      these drivers make huge money by supplying BWWSB water to hotels, apartments in the nearby area, even go to far of area which is not under BWSSB where the bore well waters are not good for drinking.

                      Request to take this matter seriously and terminate such valve man, drivers and the biggest crooks of this area is the inspector and the AE.

                          Dear Sir/Madam,

                          Greetings!

                          I am Bhaskar, resident of 3rd cross, Kalappa block, Ramachandrapuram, Srirampuram post, Bangalore. This is to keep you informed that the Sewage chambers are broken and it is gettting blocked often. Moreover we have made 47 complaints last year and this year from Jan to till date we have made 4 complaints on the same... 15 days once the pipe is blocked and the chamber is filled with the mud and other waste..... Where as the workers donot clean the chamber and they just work on the block and go.... People staying in the same lane are feeling very bad and causing health issue...... They see rodents and rats in the toilet coming through pipes and it has bitten some person in the road when he was passing motion in the toilet.

                          Hoping the best that you do something and construct the Chambers and alter the pipes..... When ever it is blocked, after giving the complaint they come and work after two days and waste water will be flowing like anything........We have made complains about it to all the office of BWSSB. But no action is taken till date. Atleast this time we expect fast remedy. Please find the complain letter attached and the photographs taken today.

                          I would suggest you to construct the new chamber and replace new pipes so thatwe can avoid the sewage blockages

                            My Name is Akhilesh Kumar and i am resident of 5th Main, Jaibheema Nagar, BTM 1st Stage, Bangalore-68. We are not geting water supply from past 2 days i.e. from 19-Feb.-2010 and when we call on complain numbers[protected], 41106507, 41106508 which seems to be BWSSB local 24 hours helpline, no pickup the call more over on number 26539206, people pick the call and hang/cut.

                            We also observed that specailly in our area, it happens once during full weekend(Saturday&Sunday) everymonth. This looks like some of the higher official of BWSSB is involved in this who get supply stopped by taking bribe or any other form interest from the LOcal/private water suplly bodies.

                            This is totaly rediculas, if BWSSB official are not able to survive with these bribes/others why don't they take money in form of bill charges Misc. from consumers only.THe Complain number 155313 naver works from any Mobile/Airtel or other private telephone providers connection.

                              i am resident of L.B. SHASTRY NAGAR near HAL Old Airport.It is very sad to know the govt doesnot take any step in this matter.kindly provide water supply to L.B. SHASTRY NAGAR.This area has not seen how cauvery water is, The current BWSSB water supply till HAL at least please provide water thrice in a week.all residents have a connection of BWSSB but there is no supply.i hope BBMP/Corporation will help in providing water supply to our Area.

                                Hello Sir,

                                I am Shanthmurthy .B a retired official from Bharat Electronics, residing at –

                                No.2852, “Gurukrupa”,
                                Kodihalli 1st Main, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar, Bangalore-8.
                                (Beside ISRO(LPSC) Compound)

                                Since the past 2 months, water supply has become very less and erratic(2 hrs supply in 10 days), due to this we are forced to buy water at Rs.400 per load, added to this we have to pay the water bill also, i have contacted the Executive Engineer (BWSSB Ulsoor) personally and on phone several times, the reply will be sounding positive but the result will be nill.
                                We are faced with undue hardships due to the lax attitude of the BWSSB, the concerned authorities please, please, please do something to restore the water supply to normalcy.

                                SUB: WATER METER READER IS TAKING MORE BRIBE FROM PUBLIC ULSOOR BANGALORE.

                                Respected Sir,

                                I Shiva staying in lakshmipuram ulsoor bangalore. water meter reader is taking more bribe form public for:

                                1. Redusing the meater charges.

                                2. knowling he is putting more charges ever month.

                                3. he asked 20, 000/- for newly build house for connection

                                I dont know for what purpose he is asking, form past 30 year i am staying in ulsoor and past 25 year i am using the same meater why i should

                                give him a price i dont know if some thing is their please inform me my number is [protected].

                                One more thing please are fead of him he is irratiting public please do some thing other wise pelase change the water meater reader.

                                other wise one day please will blast him one day this will happen one day.

                                Please change the meater reader its a request form public.

                                My name is Nalini, i am residing in mottappanapalya, indiranagar. In our area we are getting the water alternate days. Now a days ie., since from last 2 months we are not at all getting water sufficiently.Due to this we are facing lot of problems. one one day there wont be water for toilet also & take bath also.

                                I noticed that surrounding our area there is no water problem at all.

                                Main sufferers are patients, old people and also children.

                                Please consider this complaint on high priority and do us the needful.

                                  I am resident of BCMC Lyt, raghuvanahlli 5th main, adjucent to us BCC lyt, there is a leakage in sewage line from BCC lyt which si flowing into our BCMC lyt, I had given a complaint and BWSSB is telling thath they will not do as it not handedover to them, it was under BDA first and then no it is under BBMP. I have approached BBMP first and the adivsed to contact BWSSB and now BWSSB is telling they will not do. Pls help out whom to approach.

                                    Regency Magnum Apartments is located in Hennur Main Road, next to Indian Academy college. The complaints of no water is well known to the division office of BWSSB Kalaynanagar and efforts not taken to resolve the problem.

                                    Complaint and 2 reminders were sent to Chairman/ PRO and little action has intiated by division office in locating the valve and after that again to square no.1.

                                    The ultimate sufferers are the flat owners who are denied of BWSSB drinking water though the monthly bills of Rs.14,308/ been paid since from august.

                                    We presume that the officials of BWSSB are engaged all the time for private works rather than public work.

                                    We are looking for the solution at least thru this complaint forum.

                                      Sir, I and my family are suffering so problems since last one year, I kindly request you once again please kindly advise to BWSSB, Krishnarajapuram to arrange me for drinking water as soon as possible.
