I have a ppf account with the bank of india surat varaccha branch.
I tried to deposit cash in my ppf account in the bank, they said they will not accept cash, in response to which i took a cheque, but they refuse to accept cheque from a different bank.
Hence i decided to transfer my ppf account to a different bank.
On approaching the bank on the procedure, no guidelines was given to me,
They mentioned that they do not have a form and form will be needed from baroda branch and would take 2-3 days, after which, when i went, they was no form available yet, they kept on calling at a different time. I kept going to the bank with the expectation to get the form, but it was disappointing as they kept prolonging the date and the time.
I would request you to take immediate action, this has caused a lot of inconvenience to me, resulted in a waste of time, and yet no response.
I would have never expected the bank staff to be so irresponsible. The manager also was of no help.
I belong to a working class background, working in mumbai, i have to take a leave from my job which i cannot keep on taking very often for this matter.
