Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation [bmrcl] — 3yr old kid charged full fare in Bengaluru Metro

Today my 3yr kid (who hasn’t even started his schooling) was charged full ticket in bangalore metro route (Magadi road to Yeshwanthpur). I don’t think it’s a standard practice followed in any of the public transport to charge full ticket for 3yr old kids. If this is the rule to be followed, why is it not consistent across all public services. This is really frustrating & feels like a separate rule imposed by BMRCL to loot hard earned public money; especially a big pain to all middle class population who afford to travel in metro trains on daily basis.!!
