An indefinite strike by the brihanmumbai electricity supply and transport undertaking (Best) threw life in mumbai out of gear as the city's iconic red buses remained off the roads from midnight on tuesday.

"not a single bus left the 27 best depots today, ' shashank rao who heads the best worker's union told reporters this afternoon.
