Bharat Sanchar Nigam [BSNL] — Unable to send or receive sms in prepaid sim

I have reactivated my number and I am able to make calls but I am unable to send or receive any sms. The number was not used for more than 6 months. Now it's activated and has validity but still sms service does not work. Can you please activate sms service again.
