Even I have studied in this college in the same department and all the faculties are very much co- operative and friendly!
This post is written in the lame anger it seems..
Our professors have worked very hard to be where I am today; sometimes they have even came on holidays to teach us.
And about the seminar thing, which has mentioned above.. it was organised to enhance our growth to survive in todays Competitive world, which never affected our studies, at least my result, my report card, my current job and my salary slip says dat :). thanks alot

Msc Bioinformatics Department of Patkar college is very old and reputed from a very long time, we never faced any problem or it totally conflicts from whatever is written by Madhura above. If student is facing such problem, why is that student waiting till the convocation gets over?
well, even I'm from the same department, and must say, whatever has written is wrong! As per what I have experienced, all the faculties are very well talented and they have always been supported us throughout two years of my masters! Being my research project conducted in the same department by the profs (names mentioned above), I know, they are the SME's (the subject matter experts) for Bioinformatics. I do remember how much they have helped us during our practical examinations and preparation of thesis. We are blessed to have such professors who have always guided us.
I am from batch 2014 and I think you are my seniors right? Today i got call from Vrushali ma'am and She said "Be ready for whatever action i will take against you." The number from which i got call was this: [protected]
I am the student of[protected] batch and i completely agree with Madhura. Because we are the once who have faced all these things. I dont know what the previous batches think about it.These students may have been in the teachers good books and they may not be troubling them. But what we have faced is this.And the question that why we are complaining is that "WE WERE CLEARLY TOLD BY OUR SO CALLED HOD MRS.DUMITA RAJPUT AT THE START OF OUR SECOND YEAR THAT THOUGH I AM NOT TEACHING YOU THIS YEAR YOUR MARKS ARE IN MY HANDS SO NT MESS WITH ME" when you hear something like this by your teachers you cant blame us for complaining late. The second year of our MSc was made "HELL" by vrushali maam as we were not being taught our syllabus nor the practicals mare than half of the syllabus were given for presentations. and when the external examiners used to come they were taught by our teachers that they have taught us everything. Our printed journal of MSc sem 4 we had to make again just for a stupid reason given by vrushali maam and the other students also did the same things and they were spared because they were in the "GOOD BOOKS" of the teachers. Moreover this college is very good i have done my BSc in information technology and all the teachers there are very good, understanding and supportive. I was also the one in the research paper project me, MADHURA BIWALKAR, IPSA SINGH, ANKITA GAWADE, POONAM HANDE have worked as a team for it and were always encouraged and helped by the IT department. The problem is "ONLY IN BIOINFORMATICS DEPARTMENT BECAUSE HERE TEACHERS DONT KNOW MSANY THINGS NIETHER THEY WANT TO LEARN THEM THEY ONLY WANT TO TROUBLE THE STUDENTS ". Also at the time of practicals we made m to sit in the lab for long hours where as the pratical part of bioinformatics is very short. Most of our time in MSc was just wasted by our teachers by making us do unneccesary things just for the sake of doing those things. One should understand how importance of the period of November to March but aour teachers decided to have a seminar called "SCIMATIX". THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS SO CALLED SEMINAR WAS JUST TO ATTRACT STUDENTS TO TAKE ADDMISSIONS IN THE NEXT ACADEMIC YEAR AND OF ACTUALLY OF NO USE TO PART 2 STUDENTS WE HAD TO COMPLETE OUR PROJECTS THAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT WAS IN FRONT O[censored]S STILL WE WERE READY TO DO SOME WORK FOR THE SEMINAR BUT WE WERE GIVEN HORRIBLE TASKS AS TO RAISE FUNDS BASICALLY FOR SUCH SEMINARS WHERE YOU ARE ONLY GUIDING THE STUDENTS TO COME TO YOUR COURSE THEIR IS NO SUCH REASON TO RAISE FUNDS BUT WE WERE MADE TO VISIT PEOPLE FOT THIS AND OBVIOUSLY NO ONE WAS GIVING US MONEY AND OUR PROJECT WORK WAS ALSO LAGGING BEHIND BECAUSE THATS WHY WE ASKED DUMITA MAAM TO GIVE SOME WORK WHICH WE CAN DO BY SITTING AT COLLEGE BUT SHE JUST MADE A BIG SCENE OF IT AND TOLD US THAT "IN FUTURE YOU HAVE TO DO MARKETING ONLY AND NO ONE WILL GIVE YOU JOBS IN BIOINFORMATICS". THESE SAME PEOPLE WERE SHOWING US BIG BIG DREAMS AT THE START OF THE BIOINFORMATICS COURSE AND AFTERWARDS THEY WERE SAYING THIS. I will also request that appropriate action should be taken against these two women

Mr. Bapat(sb88) you were not only not only student of patkar college you were also our visiting faculty. and IT was taught by Beena ma'am and even that paper was related to IT only, the name only suggests that. And Been ma'am was our visiting faculty and now she is not visiting faculty of patkar college. She left the college she was not allowed to take lectures in last semister because of that scimatix seminar.
I m from same batch, Totally baseless post written in angry n for taking a grudes n Ms. Madhura "Justice" is big word ur using, i[censored] have guts please come n talk in front all bioinfo students n faculty n ur parents..

I am not against Beena Ma'am Vyomesh. Beena ma'am and RK sir are only good teachers I got in my masters. And I thaked them because of my marks. She called my parents indirectly said that she can fail me sem4.
That thanking part I said that is about Vrushali ma'am and Dumita ma'am. And I will be always thank Beena ma'am and RK sir for being my teachers.
I am also from 2014 students, last 2 years were most pathetic years. We were asked to do things in scimatix seminar which we were not interested, to do, as it was our final semester and after denying it we were warned that it might affect our marks .After reading my seniors comments I realize that they were big time flatters because i think one of them was visting faculty .During our exams and thesis we were asked such a question which we were never taught. During final semester we were asked to make same journal twice which was quite expensive things for us as student, just because we did the same examples, it was accepted by Vrushali Patil from other students in last semester. Practicals were always a session of question answer in Microsoft word rather doing actual practicals. And my batchmate above how they uae to react on situations in college we know diplomates.And this is not a way teacher should call a student and ask her to remove the comment terrorize otherwise you have to face the consequences. We five student's mistake was that we never flattered them, we just demanded our rights and that was the consequences we faced.
I am from the 2014 batch and Madhura is right. We are not here to write any imaginary stories. We are complaining that only what happen with us.
I am also a student form 2014 batch and me and my friends have suffered a lot in last 2 years. We have faced all the worse situations so we know what we have been through this 2 years. During final semester we were asked to make same journal twice just because we have written same examples but it was accepted when others did in the previous semester, like this situation many others situations occurred which we had to face in this 2 years and this were pathetic years of my whole college life.

To complainer, , , , 1) Other thing regarding journal ... At the starting of semester 4 mam has told us that every one should have their individual journal .. Then why you make your journal in groups ????? Its yours mistake why you are blaming to mam ?????????
2 ) You are saying about docking ...LOL...you were doing masters you were not a KG student to spoon fed you ...
3 ) About event... It was the part of extra curricular activity ...we did that event as a responsibility & learn many more thing from it & it was successful, , many student has got good output from this ..& meanwhile doing that seminar we did our project also ...there is no point complaining against faculty ..
Teacher is the best part of life... Respect them .

I am also from same batch and really feel proud to say that Respected Dr. Dumita rajput & Ms. Vrushali Patil were my Teachers . After reading all comments from my Dear friends m really shock that they have such kind of mentality feeling so sad but from my point of view i had never faced such kind of situation in that 2 year of beautiful college life Thank you :),
Both the years of our Msc were very difficult for us not because of our syllabus but because of our teachers especially our second year was made "HELL" by "Ms VRUSHALI PATIL". And our complaint is not about not providing notes but it is about the trouble we have faced throughtout the year. Some students were really "SPECIAL STUDENTS" in our batch and were never troubled or harrased by the teachers. At the start of our second year on the first day of college our so called HOD "Mrs DUMNITA RAJPUT" warned us that "THOUGHT I AM NOT TEACHING YOU THIS YEAR YOUR MARKS ARE STILL IN MY HANDS SO DONT MESS WITH ME" after listening to this i dont think any student can even dare to think about it dats why we were unable to complaint at that tym. We were not told many things which were there in the syllabus but when the external used to come our teachers used to say that they have taken all the syllabus and still we are not knowing anything and at the end we used to suffer because of this. Also the seminar "SCIMATIX" this seminar was purely from the point of view of "PROMOTION" it was done just to have students in the next academic year. But we the part 2 students were also dragged in this one can understand that how important it is for a MSc student to focus on their projects in the months of NOV - JAN irrespective of this we were told the works of this seminar. And when we requested maam that we were not able to do the works which are out of the college beacause of the project tension and wanted to do those works which can be done by sitting at the college we were insulted and harrased. At that time Mrs. DUMITA RAJPUT told us that "AT THE END YOU ARE NOT GONNA GET ANY WORK IN BIOINFORMATICS SO YOU BETTER LEARN MSTRKETING SO THAT YOU CAN WORK IN IT IN YOUR FUTURE". AND THIS SAME MAAM AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION TOLD US THAT "THEIR ARE MANY OPENINGS AND ALL IN BIOINFORMATICS AND YOU CAN WORK HERE AND THERE" THIS WAS TOTALLY CONTRADICTING STATEMENT. And VYOMESH you have not faced the situation what we have so i dont think that you are in the position to decide "JUSTICE" is the correct word or not. This is not the anger but the pain of injustice which have happened with us and also the sorrow that we were not able to raise our voice against this. And yes WE HAVE GUTS THATS WHY WE ARE PUTTING OUR SIDE OR THE SITUATION IN FRONT OF THE WORLD AND I DONT THINK THAT I NEED TO TELL YOU THAT THE WORLD HERE MEANS EVERYONE i.e ALL THE BIOINFORMATICS STUDENTS FACULTY AND PARENTS AND MOREOVER WE WANT THEM TO KNOW ALL THESE THINGS WE DONT WISH THAT WHATEVER HAVE JHAPPEND WITH US SHOULD HAPPEN WITH ANY OTHER STUDENT BECAUSE OUR COLLEGE IS REALLY GOOD AND I M SAYING THIS BECAUSE I HAVE DONE MY BSC IT IN THE SAME COLLEGE AND THER I HAD VERY UNDERSTANDING, HELPING AND ENCOURAGING FACULTY BUT THE SITUATION IS TOTALLY OPPOSITE IN CASE OF BIOINFORMATICS DEPARTMENT. I request here that the appropriate action should be taken in this matter.
Most important point, during the initial tym of scimatix seminar one of the 5 girls said this " they had joined bioinformatics becoz they didn't received admission for masters in respective fields"

Vaishali Ma'am has helped us a lot in preparing our journals and notes. She also helped during lectures. I don't understand why people r trying to malign her image by posting gossip about her.
We only know from what we all gone through & that’s why we are complaining. If we are behaving like KG students then why we don’t complain against that teacher who are teaching until our BSc. And we don’t need any spoon feeding. They don’t give us any notes and that pdf of books can download anyone.

Its heart breaking to read what I have read because of my achievements associated with Patkar and Bioinformatics department. I cant comment upon what the student has felt when she wrote it but a little research upon her I found this research paper in 'Google Scholar':
"Bioinformatics Tool for Identification of Virulent Sequence in Viral Genome."
Being a researcher i can tell you how difficult its getting a paper, and she received one in Patkar college and Department of Bioinformatics.
I have great admiration and am very greatful to the college, the department and its teachers I was associated with! Thank you!
