As a consumer the kind of trauma and agony I was subjected to for 2 days between 18th-20th September is unpardonable. I had reached out to book my bai on Monday due to an extreme emergency at home and I was in urgent need for a maid at the earliest. I was happy with the very prompt response and them providing me a maid to interview within 30 minutes of me establishing communication with Pavithra.
When I interviewed maid Sathya Prabhu she told me that she has 8 years of experience with one single family previously and committed to come over to my place that same evening. I told her that it is raining and if she still manages to get a cab she is welcome to join the same evening of 18th September 2023. As she is a woman I was worried for her safety to travel in the night and then told her if she finds it hard to reach that night she can come the next day before 11 am.
The fact that she failed to show up may be a coincidence or a personal integrity issue however how did an establishment like book my bai immediately stopped communicating with me as soon as I paid the agency fee in full which is 23600 rupees at 18:59 hrs. on 18th September. You can see in the attached screenshot that I shared the completed payment screen shot to their agent Pavithra and she acknowledged at 1900 hrs. I requested her immediately to share the contract and maids ID and contact details. You must notice here that I even shared my residence location with Pavithra.
As a woman I was at a very vulnerable state here with entire money paid in faith with no contract and my residence details exposed to an unknown source and also naively believing that the promised manpower will show up before 11 am on 20th September latest. On 19th September after multiple attempts failed to get any response, I started looking up this company on google and the results were horrifying for a consumer.
You can imagine my horror after having gone through 100 feedback and a rating of 1.3 or 2.8 which is such a low score for a company that should ideally be at least 3.9 or above. People are trusting such organizations with humans that we welcome into our homes where our elderly parents and little children live and is this the reputation that they keep?
I got conned for a large sum of money and I shall seek justice if the refund is not initiated in next 4 days.
