Bookmybai sent a deaf maid after paying 21 k who could not hear anything and was trying sign language with me that I can't understand. I told them on day 1 that she is deaf and they said either keep or return her. I said I don't have office address, they were simply not giving registered Bengaluru address so if I return maid I will loose money. They said tomorrow itself then Saniya switched off her phone. It took 10 days to reestablish contact with them and they told that they can't find replacement. Till then even though the maid was staying in maid room we had other temporary maids and cooks working for us as the lady was not showing any signs o[censored]nderstanding the domestic work. Plus she had long very long pink nails for a domestic maid, red hair and tatoos on her back that we did not like. They just allowed a phone interview with candidate and gave us no chance to verify. Her character was odd so we said we will drop her at the office to show us where it is. She understood that although it was mix of sign language and speech. Then she demanded money for 10 days which I said I will pay her at the office as my amount is at risk. She blocked the door and demanded money. Everytime I said no she broke something in my house out of frustation- the bathroom cabinet, the clothing line unit, the curtain she snatched and ripped off, opened her sari and said she will commit suicide. My husband reached home just then and instantly she became quiet and again started acting deaf. Then we took her to the area where bookmybai office in wilson garden is and asked her to show location. She immediately started acting like she can't hear. The taxi driver asked her and she signalled him that she was dumb. Seeing this entire drama we told her to get out and tell the office to call us. The office harassed us by saying pay the maid then we will send you replacement while still keeping 21k of our deposit. When I stared seeking legal help they blocked me.
