BSNL — Refund of monthly charges for disconnected landline and internet connection

I had been following up with BSNL for multiple months to get my landline connectivity problem resolved and rectifying the intermittent internet connection. After much efforts I was able to get the attention of senior authorities, who then expedited the request and assigned a lineman technician that resolved the problem. However, my landline phone remained dead for almost 4-5 months. I expected that my landline and internet charges be refunded as a compensation of inefficient service.
