Delhi Haat Cottage Emporium Complaints & Reviews

My wife bought two sarees. She had to bargain a lot, the first price was crazy, after much effort and loss of time she halved the initial price. They promised to deliver in our hotel after doing tailor work. The sarees arrived late in the night, more than 3 hours after the convened time. One of them was not the one she had chosen but a cheaper one! Both were awful tailor works, did not fit properly my wife. I complained. I said i would restitute the sarees and asked the money back. I was promised to know only 50% would be reimbursed because i was supposed to pay for the "material". The saler promised to come back to me for my banking details, which he never did.
Having left india, i had to ask for the help of my embassy to directly contact the seller mr narendra. He falsely tried to gain time arguing that he was reimbursing me in my credit card - something which never happened. Upon further pressure he contacted me by wapp and i simply offered him to reimburse me in a bank account in delhi. Apparently he wished to talk # because when he saw i offered a straigthforward solution he did not answer, fled from me and disappear.
Help me prople to safeguard indian trade's honour from these people. They do no good to atract tourists tp your fascinating country.

While on holiday in india my wife and i purchased a canvas painting from ravi gupta delhi haat cottage emporium 51, panchkuian road, opp. Metro pillar no. 7 new dehli 110055 (Tel: +91 [protected]) on 8th october 2018. We discussed in detail with mr. Gupta exactly what design and colours we wanted on canvas.
He said it would take approximately 50 days to complete and that we would receive an email beforehand with a draft of the painting to make sure everything was as required.
The painting was delivered by post on 5th november 2018. The painting is not what we agreed. The size of the font is much bigger than discussed and we did not receive an email with the draft to approve.
We placed this order with you in good faith and we are very annoyed having paid inr 30, 000 in advance and it is not what we agreed upon. As previously mentioned above we discussed this in detail with mr. Gupta in his shop. We feel cheated by this. This is not good business practice and is also damaging to the tourist industry in india.
