Campus Students Communities Pvt. Ltd. — Refund of advance payment

We had applied for an accommodation during September 2021 and also paid advance of Rs.90, 000 based on the pictures sent to us and also some of the representations made to us over calls. However, when the student landed in Bangalore at their centre, the situation was completely different. The room in the pictures looked very different than the actual room which was allocated to us. The room didn’t have an AC or proper bed. Further, we were told that the accommodation is within the college campus but actually when we visited, it was quite far from the college campus. Because of the misrepresentations and the actual room, we didn’t want to continue with the booking. Per my discussion with Mr. Nitesh Chauhan, I sent a lot of emails to request for a refund of our advance payment of Rs.90, 000 but all I heard was that the advance was non-refundable based on some terms which were mentioned in very small letters to intentionally deceive the students and parents. This was a classic case of getting student to pay the advance and commit to the booking by giving false and limited information. The hostel team knew that you were dealing with an outstation student who was not going to visit the facilities at the time of booking or while paying the advance. Therefore they took advantage of that and shared a fancy brochure showing flashy pictures of hostel rooms. When the student visited your hostel facilities, they were shockingly bad quality. Not at all similar to the pictures in your brochure. We are also not sure how the student's details were passed onto Campus Communities from the college because someone from the hostel approach the student directly. I guess for some reason the college shared student’s information with Campus Communities without student’s consent. When Campus Communities representative called the student for the first time, they said that Campus Communities is affiliated with Jain College and their facilities are within the campus so the students don’t need to travel daily. We tried very hard to get our advance back but there is no response on their phone no[protected]. We tried to speak to their management multiple times but no one answers their phone. We also write multiple emails but after multiple follow-ups only one response "advances are non-refundable". Can you please help us recover our advance as we did not use their services even for a minute as they were of really bad quality.
