Yes! Mr. Sanjay is correct, problems like this are being faced everywhere, and of course the schools are becoming more and more monopolistic.
I am from Ujjain (M.P.) and my son studies in a CBSE affiliated private school called Takshshela Junior College, and we have also been asked to purchase private publisher's books that too from a pre-identified book store (as the books/publisher are rare and no other seller keeps those books), students are also being forced to use notebooks of a particular brand.
In addition to all this, the uniforms are also not generic the school has intentionally put their logo on blazers and on shirts so that these can only be purchased from a particular shop.
Please do let us know if there is any option for us and what steps we can take to make sure that this malpractice can be stopped.
