Central Board Of Secondary Education [CBSE] — Long hours for online classes

Respected sir,

My child is studying in 5th std in CBSE school Bangalore. This year the schools have started with 6 periods of 40 minutes each and 1st break is after 2 continuous period and 2nd break is again after 2 continuous period followed by remaining 2 continuous period. The class starts at 8.30 and ends after 1pm, whereas last year there were only 3 periods of 30 minutes each. So why so many periods this year? Could have increased only 1 period..
Apart from regular classes, there is more screen time for copying notes - uploading them, doing homeworks - uploading and lots of projects, activities etc all these things are overload to the child and effects not only their eyes but overall health. Also the power consumption cost and data charges for long hours. Not everyone can afford during this pandemic situation.
We welcome online education but should not be stressful.
Kindly request you to issue online guidelines to CBSE schools at the earliest.

Thank you.
