I am lodging my complaint against 2 confusing questions asked in 10 maths exam held on 28th march 2018.
There were 2 questions in class 10 maths exam, as in series tym set -1 code no - 30/1 :
Q9. Find the sum of first 8 multiples of 3 :
Here one can consider the first multiple of 3 as 3×1=3.
But 0 is a multiple of every integer (Except 0 itself).
Refer to: https://gmatclub.com/forum/is-0-zero-to-be-considered-as-a-multiple-of-every-num...⇄
So the first multiple of 3 should be considered as 0, not 3. (3×0=0)
An integer n is a multiple of m if n÷m gives an integer, here 0÷3=0, which is an integer.
So this should be considered in your marking scheme.
The answer would then be sn= 84 not 108.
Q12. An integer is chosen at random between 1 and 100. Find the probability that it is : i) divisible by 8 ii) not divisible by 8
As the word "between" is used the no. Chosen cannot be either 1 or 100. It should be from 2-99.
So the answer should be 12/98 and 86/98.
Not 12/100 and 88/100.
Please consider by claims.
