Central Board Of Secondary Education [CBSE] — Unnecessary fees by Greets Public School, Ashoka road, Kaloor, Kerala
I am a parent of class 11 student. We reside in Kochi, Kerala. I requested admission for my son to class 11 in Greets Public School, Ashoka road, Kaloor., Kerala. It was lockdown time and we spoke only over phone. They asked me to pay Rs. 20, 000 ( 10, 000 caution deposit, 5000 admission fees, 5000 registration fees). I made the payment online but they did not give any receipt. Neither they confirmed the admission. One week later I got admission in a nearby cbse school. So I asked them to refund the money. But they said they will refund only caution deposit, Rs.10, 000. That too only if I apply for a transfer certificate. All this happened in May much before the classes started. Since my son did not study there even for one day, why do I need the transfer certificate? But the school is saying that is the procedure. And why are they charging me Rs.10, 000 for speaking on the phone?I feel this is not fair especially during this Covid time when everyone is facing financial problems. Please provide justice Was this information helpful?
