Central Board Of Secondary Education [CBSE] — wrong question in class 10 science board paper

Address:Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, 201010

Please refer to the question number 10 of today's science paper of class 10 fated 16.03.2018. The question states that the ph of the salt used to make tasty and crispy pakoras is 14. Any salt with a ph of 14 is highly alkaline, the commonly used edible salt to make pakoras is baking soda which has a ph of 9. Only caustic soda has a ph of 14, but it's not edible and mainly used in manufacture of soaps. Please pursue my complaint and do the needful.

This question is from 10th CBSE yesterday exam do you think that this question is right or it has error because PH of baking soda is around 8.6 and 14 is PH of NaoH.

CBSE must take appropriate action & who so ever attempted it be given full marks.
Because students should not suffer due to this error/printing mistake/ etc.

Yes u are right it is a very big problem even I got confused in the exam and anyone who attempted this question must be given full marks
Yes not only this but the question also says that it was used to make the pakora crispy whereas baking soda does the exact opposite and is responsible for fluffyness. Also baking soda is not a salt but a mild base so according to the question that cannot be the answer neither is it base more does it have 14 pH also it does not make crispy pakoras
yes, CBSE should look into this issue and give students full marks if they attempted the question

Yes CBSE should definitely look into this and give full marks to the students who have attemtpted this question.
Yes I agree they should give grace marks for the question
CBSE should give marks to students who had attemted this qus
CBSE should have full marks for it .
I hope CBSE board should consider this mistake and give full mark to all children who appeared this question.
If I have attempted the first part of that question, then I will get Grace Marks or not.
yes. even i got confused after reading that question, therefore i had to attempt other question (the question had choice). cbse should be careful while making these question papers and they should be properly revised before students are handed over the question papers. students are already in a lot of pressure due to board exams and when they are given question papers with errors like this, they get confused. cbse should not only compensate for this mistake but also try to not repeat mistakes like these.
thank you.
Yes, CBSE should give students the marks for this misprinted question
